Basecamp Resorts I Three Bedroom Apartment

Basecamp Canmore, our first and most popular property, is a boutique hotel resort situated just a short walk from Downtown Canmore, surrounded by many world famous mountain peaks and only a 20 minute drive to Banff National Park and several popular ski resorts. Designed for families, avid adventure seekers and powder junkies alike, we provide epic views, modern amenities and top notch service along with all of the comforts of home and all for a reasonable price. With a bounty of natural splendors right at our doorstep we invite you to start your Canmore adventures here.

Our three-bedroom suites are just over 1000 sq. feet in size and perfect for accommodating six to eight guests. There are three bedrooms, each with one queen bed as well as a queen pullout memory foam sofa in the living room. There are two full bathrooms upstairs near the bedrooms and a powder room on the main level, all supplied with locally sources natural products. There is a fully equipped kitchen with high end appliances and cooking utensils, washer and dryer, living room and dining area. There is free wifi, cable TV and you also get access to the shared roof top hot tub and BBQ areas. Access to these suites involves stairs. One free parking stall per unit.

For the group of us it was the perfect size. The host was very good at communicating with me, and furniture and beds were very comfortable. Next time I would request accessibility access to room as well as I quite about stairs in the apartmentAs this was difficult for our elderly people that were with us.

We loved the location of this property. We were right close by to all amenities. One thing we would add for a better stay would be more kitchen accessories. By this we mean more tea towels and garbage bags. We also would like to add we wanted to use the hot tub the morning of our departure for a quick soak around 8am and we no longer had access. I think guests should have access until their check out at 11am.

Okay Stay

We booked for a quick one night stay before our ski trip. The check in & out process was fast and easy. However charges from the resort weren't matching what VRBO quoted us and we had to call after our trip to review. Parking was also very poorly described in the property description (1 stall per unit only with no overflow and street parking isn't clearly signed to know where to go. Resort staff were unclear with further directions until we asked a second time where we could park). The apartment was tidy and in good order but kitchen supplies were in poor working condition. It worked great for our quick stop but wouldn't look to stay for a longer visit.

1. Front desk lady was very rude. She seriously needs customer service training 2. Room service - not good. Didn’t keep extra pods for dishwasher 3. TV cable wasn’t working for all 5 days. Wonderful Stay, Prime Location!

My recent stay at Basecamp was nothing short of fantastic! The location was absolutely perfect, putting us in close proximity to all the essentials. In fact, there was an amazing bagel place and a cozy pub just a stone's throw away, both less than 2 minutes on foot. This made our stay even more enjoyable and convenient. However, there were a couple of minor issues. Firstly, the resort had only one hot tub, which I initially thought we would be sharing with just one other group. It turned out to be for the entire resort, but I may have misread the description. Secondly, the sound of the train passing by throughout the day and night made it a bit difficult to sleep. Despite these minor hiccups, I would still highly recommend this Basecamp for its prime location and overall great experience. Thank you!

Spacious and clean. Location was very walkable. Only one parking stall which wasn’t an issue for us but definitely something to consider when travelling with groups.

Family long weekend getaway

Found our unit at the Basecamp Resort comfortable enough for a family of 6 adults. Bedrooms were a nice size with air con which was appreciated and necessary as temps were 28+ during our stay. No air con in living area but fans and windows helped where we spent the evenings at the nice long dining table playing cards and board games. Sitting area was small but manageable to watch the long awaited NHL playoff games. Didn't hear any neighbours and no complaints with our goal celebrations. Kitchen had all the necessities and grocery, liquor stores, coffee shops and restaurants close by if needed. Staff were accommodating on bringing in towels which were missing on arrival. Location was great for walking around town centre and for short drives to the lakes and hiking.
