Tucked between the Atlantic Ocean and Albemarle Sound in the middle of a 100-acre Maritime Forest, Beachwoods Resort is surrounded by lakes, woodlands, wetlands, rolling dunes and wildlife. It is a unique destination on the famous Outer Banks of North Carolina and sits adjacent to a 700-acre nature preserve.

Enjoy the outdoor recreation park which includes tennis, volleyball and basketball courts. Relax by one of the on-site pools, in the Lakeside Lodge or while fishing from the shore. The resort features spacious accommodations and provides a perfect family retreat during any season.

The resort is a campus style property. The units are separate from the welcome center and require you to walk or drive to the pool and lodge area.

- All rooms require entry by going up stairs.

- All Guest Suites along with the pool area are Non-Smoking.

- Please note that every attempt will be made to accommodate requests for suite location and early arrivals; however, these requests are based on availability and occupancy. Unfortunately, the resort is unable to guarantee room location.

- Minimum age requirement for check-in is 21 years of age.
- Pets are not permitted and strictly enforced with the exception of Service Animals.

Check in time will be at 4pm, check out time will be at 10am. All other arrangements to check in early or late check out, must be arranged with the resort directly, after we have confirmed your room.

When Checking In: A photo identification, credit card for a $100 refundable security deposit.

ADDITIONAL FEE S DUE AT CHECK IN: $26 per day resort fee.

Resort Fee Includes: Outdoor pool, indoor pool and waterpark, activity center, fitness center, lakeside lodge, paddle boats, fishing, nature trails, beach parking, tennis court, basketball court, bocce ball, playground, croquet, beach volleyball, and picnic areas.

A $100 refundable authorization is due at check in to cover incidentals, it will be released at check out.

A detailed confirmation letter with check in instructions, late arrival info, check in and out times, local info, everything you need will be sent via email once you make your final payment on the reservation. If you pay in full, we ll send the confirmation letter right away.

Overpriced Time Share

Far overpriced for the accommodations and amenities. Hidden resort fees at check in (disclosed at the bottom of the very lengthy property description) in addition to over $500/night once you add fees, etc. Also, wet carpet (hopefully due to cleaning but not sure), outlet circuit blown in kitchen, tub/shower in bathroom extremely dated and small.. Beach access is only public parking 2 miles from resort, not specific resort reserved parking. Bridges on nature trail are in need of significant repair. Do not rely on the photos in the listing. They are not all from this resort location but other properties owned by the time share. Very disappointed in the property for the price paid.

Condo had cockroaches & price was raised after booking!

There were at least 3 roaches in the condo that we found walking and crawling on the floors and ceilings. It made the stay very uncomfortable specially at such a high price. I was booked at a certain rate an then got an email with a higher rate. Where as the website was showing a way lower price. I wrote to the property manager (Steve M.) but he never responded to that query. He was listed as the contact in VRBO but was not responsive at all and was blunt when responded 2 days later. We were booked for 6 nights and he messaged me when I was only a few hours away from the resort that I am now only booked for 5 nights. I had to scramble and find another hotel last minute. They didn’t try to accommodate me or even make it up to us in anyway for all the inconvenience. The resort didn’t have daily cleaning or enough stuff. There was coffee for only 1 day for a 5 night stay. Many other things weren’t cool but overall we managed because it was a last minute getaway i planned for my kids & I didn’t want to cancel it for them after they were all packed and excited to travel.
