Summer vacation rental on Panther Lake! Also available to rent the rest of the year for snowmobiling, hunting, ice fishing, salmon fishing (just 20 minutes away) or just a relaxing getaway on the lake. Right on the water with your own dock with stairs leading into the water. New for 2021 is a 5 person hot tub in our remodeled three season room! Bring your boat OR... ASK ABOUT RENTING OUR BOAT FOR YOUR STAY! Great fishing, swimming, and water skiing or tubing. Relax on the large two-level deck and watch the sunset by the fire pit. Professionally landscaped. Central air conditioned. Four bedrooms, 2.5 baths. Can sleep 11+.
Huge master bedroom with a king sized bed and master bathroom has a jacuzzi tub. Enough room to setup a blowup mattress and/or crib as well. Enjoy a cup of coffee at the cozy sitting area overlooking the lake. 50” 4K smart TV. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed, and just enough room to set up a small porta-crib if needed. Bedroom 3 has two bunk beds (sleeps 4). Bedroom 4 has two twin beds. Queen sleeper sofa or inflatable bed located in the living room on the main floor.
Prepare meals for all your guests in the spacious kitchen. Propane grill located on the deck. Two-car garage available to park out of the sun (or snow). Lots of parking available for your guests. 6 night minimum stay during the summer: Check in after 4:00pm. Check outs by 11:00am.
Enjoy a whole house in the off season for all kinds of activities. Close proximity to the Salmon River, and Salmon River Falls, multiple state forests for hunting season, Turning Stone Casino, and just 30 minutes from the Syracuse Airport. Ice fishing is extremely popular during winter. Great for snowmobiling as the trail is just down the road. Monthly and weekly discounts available. Use the garages to store your sleds and vehicles instead of trailering to trail heads. (Check availability first) Drive your snowmobile right from the garage to the trail in 60 seconds. Makes a great home base the whole family can stay in. Laundry room is located on the first floor. Smart TVs located in the living room and master bedroom. Lake house on Panther Lake

The house was very clean, and plenty large for our group of 9, adults and teenagers. The owner/ manager was very pleasant to talk with. Planning to return for another visit.

Great family venue

The house was spacious with beautiful view. We stayed for a Syracuse graduation ceremony. About 40 min from campus. So much better than staying in a hotel. Fantastic time

Panther Lake House

Great house with lots of character and all the amenities you need for a wonderful getaway where you feel right at home. The owner was great and very easy to communicate with regarding our stay. Highly recommended!

Exactly what we needed

Clean home with the perfect amount of space for our family. Owner was quick to help with anything we had questions about. Lake was beautiful and we spent most of our time outside with the paddle boat, swimming, and lounging on the decks. Hope to go back again next year!

Excellent lake house

Great spot to spend some time with family and friends. House has every toy (boat, kayak, paddle board, paddle wheeler, ping pong table, darts, hot tub, fire pit) for all age ranges to keep the fun meter at high throughout the stay. Love the large dining room table where everyone can comfortably gather and enjoy food and games. Miles was always responsive and a great host. Hope to return in winter when the lake freezes over.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

Thank you for sharing your home with us. We planned a very last minute weekend getaway and Miles was easy to work with and very timely with answers to any questions we had. We enjoyed playing board games, darts, ping pong, and the kids had a great time sledding. We highly recommend this property and hope to come back in the summer to be able to enjoy the lake.

A wonderful stay

Great place!

Beautiful, clean spacious home for all to enjoy. Our family ranged in age from 13 months-86 years old. We had great weather and were in the water everyday. We are from the city and appreciated the sandy bottom of the lake and no seaweed. The steps going into the lake were perfect for my 86 year old father. Beautiful sunsets every night! We will be back!

Wonderful family getaway

The week started out a little rocky with power and water going out due to power outages. Miles communicated well through the ordeal and provided a partial refund. Overall the house was as described and very clean. We loved the use of the tubes and kayak. Parking was easy as well as check-in and check-out. We loved our stay and would recommend 100%!

Nice Spring Break Getaway

We stayed there during the spring break with several teens. It was a cozy and comfortable house by the lake. Miles was very responsive and helpful with all of my questions. The neighborhood was quiet, secluded. The house has a nice lake view we enjoyed while barbecuing at the deck. Kids enjoyed the table tennis and the dart at the basement. Overall, we were very happy and well rested after a long, dreadful upstate NY winter.

Week at Panther Lake

The house is located on a nice lake and is plenty big enough. We had dinner a few nights out on the deck and enjoyed swimming and fishing throughout the week. It was fun to use the paddle board that was provided. The property is not far from Lake Ontario, so if you are up for a day trip it is nice to go see a Great Lake, visit Fort Ontario, go to Ontario Orchards for some local cider and stop by the Midway drive in theater to watch some movies under the stars. We enjoyed our week very much.

Lovely Stay

The property is a perfect size for a family to comfortably fit. There was a pack-n-play, high chair and toys for a little one; all kinds of board games, cards and water "toys" for older kids. Unfortunately not all of our family could come stay with us so we did not use many of the "toys". That being said, it was calm and peaceful and we thoroughly enjoyed the comfy furniture on the lower deck and the beautiful sunsets.

Fishing Trip

We are all incredibly thankful for the property and boat Miles provided to us. For the past three years, me and several family members have gone on a men’s Fall fishing trip but didn’t catch anything of worth until this year. Beyond being more than welcoming to us, Miles has a house that makes you feel more than at home. We will definitely be back next year for our trip, hoping to catch even bigger fish than this year.

Perfect location on Panther lake

This was a family vacation with all adult children. Very comfortable property with everything you need to enjoy this beautiful lake. The view from the top deck is gorgeous. The water is clear and refreshing. I would, however, not recommend for anyone who has trouble with stairs. The stairs from the top deck down to the water are very steep. My husband did not venture down them. All in all, a beautiful spot.

We are Miles and Katherine Lewis. In 1988 Katherine's parents bought a camp on Panther Lake where they enjoyed their summers every year while growing up. Our families were friends since 1997 and we both ended up spending a lot of time at the camp on Panther Lake, our favorite place to be during the summer. In 2010 we got married, started a growing business breeding and training Labradoodles for family pets and service dogs, and soon had four children. When the time was right we knew we wanted a lake house of our own on Panther Lake. We live just minutes away and get over to the lake every chance we get. We are so happy to have you enjoy a little slice of our paradise.

Why they chose this property

One of the larger year round homes on Panther Lake, uniquely situated to see nearly the entire lake as well as amazing sunrises and sunsets. Panther Lake is a quiet relaxing getaway, especially during the weekdays. During the summer the only boats on the lake are those who own property on the lake or their guests. There is no public boat launch on the lake which keeps the traffic limited to those who respect and love this lake the most. The water just off the shoreline is great for swimming and not mucky or rocky. Nice sandy bottom that starts our shallow for young swimmers but is deep enough at the end of the dock to jump right in. The lake warms up quickly as it averages 12-15 feet in most areas. Oftentimes the water is 65 degrees by middle of May. During the warmest parts of the summer water can get into the lower 80s. During the winter the ice gets very thick is fantastic for ice fishing. One of the best ice fishing spots on the lake is right in front of the house.
