About this property

Salmon River waterfront home on 10 acres at Ellis Cove

This is what they’re saying: “What a beautiful home!” “Amazing experience here. The amenities were incredible, the house beautiful - we couldn’t have asked for a better place ... for a family reunion ... and wedding.” “Awesome place to relax and enjoy some quiet in a beautiful house.” “Thank you for such a wonderful place that allowed for life memories to happen for all of us.”

Welcome to The King’s Gathering at Ellis Cove, a newly built five bedroom, four bathroom craftsman home with modern conveniences situated on 10 waterfront acres of the world famous Salmon River. Access to over 700 feet on the river situated between two of the best fishing holes - Wire Hole and Ellis Cove - for salmon and steelhead fishing!

Host up to 12 people in our well-appointed more than 2,500 sq. ft. vacation home with nearly 800 sq.ft. additional covered outdoor space offering ample space for connecting and making memories. Have a large group? Book our other cabin (VRBO 580833) and together you can host up to 24 people! Whether your passion is fishing, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, snowmobiling, riding ATVs (minutes to trailheads), or cross-country skiing, you are not far from the action.

As you enter our home, you will be greeted by a two-story great room with views of trees and wetlands bordering the Salmon River. The open floor plan allows you to flow freely throughout. Make your meals together in our gourmet kitchen or on our outdoor grill. Dine together at our custom farm table constructed from reclaimed wood or "al fresco” on our deck. Finish your day sharing stories around our wood burning fireplace on the main level, up in the loft, or out by the fire pit. Share videos or photos from your excursions in the TV room.

Rounding out the main level is the "King Room" featuring a king bed, private bathroom with soaking tub, walk-in shower, and water closet. The "Coho Room" has a queen bed and is adjacent to a full bathroom. Lounge in the loft where story telling, curling up with your favorite book, or looking out onto the country might be relaxing. From the loft, follow the catwalk across the foyer to the in-law suite with two private rooms: the "Brown Trout Room" with its king bed and the "Steelhead Room" with two twin beds. They share a full bathroom.

The walk-out basement and lower level was designed primarily as a staging area for fishermen. Equipped with rod holders, wader hooks, and corker mats, this is the perfect place to gear up in comfort for a day of fishing. Rod holders are also available underneath the deck of the walk-out basement. There is a table for tying flies or playing cards. We also have the "Bunker Room" downstairs with two bunks featuring twin over queen beds across from a full bathroom. The lower level houses the laundry room with a washer & dryer with folding station, mini ironing board and iron.

To help simplify your stay, we provide all bed & bath linens, and cookware & dishes. We use down-alternative duvets to reduce environmental allergens. As such, no animals are permitted and we are smoke-free.

Eclipse 2024
This was a beautiful home, perfect for an extended family getaway to view the solar eclipse. Especially loved having 3 levels of rooms and bedrooms for a variety of families and ages to stay in. Only suggestion is to bring or provide more tvs, we used the one in the basement for family viewing of the NCAA tournament, and brought another 2 so we had one on each level for different interests and age levels to watch at night. Also loved the outdoor fire pit and trail to the river. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Worked for us
The location of the property was great for us. We had hoped to cross-country ski but the weather did not cooperate to permit us to do that. However, we were able to hike at several places around the area and had a nice time.

Good time!
Good time with family and friends. Lovely house with accommodations as described. Beautiful walk to the river in the snow and fun sledding and snowmobiling. Dust bunnies under the furniture need to be removed.

Beautiful home
This house was perfect for our visit we had with old friends, & to celebrate a birthday. We were there right before the salmon run, so it was a busier time for the area, but still very quiet, with beautiful farmland all around. We would definitely stay here again. The house is spacious, and very comfortable.
