Secluded area, great for viewing stars at night

Our stay at Christmas cabin was wonderful, everything was clean, plenty of towels and blankets. There were 5 in our group and we all slept comfortably. We had two adults in loft, one adult in bedroom and two young adults down in basement. We hiked a high peak and it was about 35 min to AMR parking lot. No service in that area, but the house has wifi, which worked well. Nearest grocery store is about 15 min away. Wilmington isn’t too far away, maybe 20 min. Washer and dryer. Overall our experience with this host was great, we would stay again. Only thing that I could have done without is all the Xmas stuff every where, it does make it clear that it’s called the Xmas cabin.

Special trip with college friend from midwest

Everything was fine except the GPS was sending us to a different location. There was some address issues with the street names. Also the downstairs bathroom was partially torn apart with wood boards from the ceiling along the walls and nails were sticking out. We were able to overlook this as we are all adults and understand things can go wrong. We also would suggest to the owner that the lawn should be mowed and that the lawn was very high and the fire pit had only old logs to sit on around the fire. We had planned to go out at night for a fire and smores, but it wasn't very inviting, however the weather went bad with torrential rains and we didn't miss the smores as a result. Overall I would recommend this place. Especially in the winter. It's a neat place and roomy.

Christmas Cabin

Stayed July 2023. Cabin was very nice but address was not correct and had critters in the cabin during the night. Owner was great and the cabin was nice just not up to expected standards.

Great location

Had a great time there. The process for check in was a bit complicated as we received the code to the house just before check in. Waited for half a day to get the password for the WiFi as well. Other than that, great stay. Layne was accommodating in letting us check in a bit sooner.
