About the host
Hosted by Sandra Mendoza
I was born in Christchurch, New Zealand, hence the name The Kiwi's Place. New Zealand scenery and lifestyle are very similar to Canada but in a much smaller area. I left New Zealand to travel the world and ended up in London, England for many years where I met my wonderful husband, Oliver, and had my 3 children. We immigrated to Canada in 1991 and settled in Peachland in September of that year. We have never regretted our decision to settle in Canada and in Peachland in particular. As grandparents of six wonderful children, we are very lucky to live in a peaceful, beautiful country.
Why they chose this property
I fell in love with 4036 San Clemente Ave for its charm, proximity to the beach, school and highway. Not too much snow shovelling to do and a good size garden and yard, we have the best year round property to live in.
What makes this property unique
Backing on to Trepanier creek and less than a 4 minute walk to the Okanagan’s longest public beach, a strip mall, tennis courts and skateboard park, Kiwi’s place is perfectly situated. There are great restaurants here and in West Kelowna - 10 minutes' drive away. We are only 20 minutes drive away from a good sized shopping area and cultural centre in Kelowna. Wineries abound and if you want adventure we have ziplining, water sports, climbing, cycling etc. etc. Too much to mention. As the house is situated on "the flat" in Peachland, we can access Highway 97 very easily. Highway 97 is the main traffic corridor right throughout the Okanagan and access to the Coquihalla Highway to Vancouver is less than 5 minutes' drive away. Beauty and convenience are two of the main reasons we chose this property.
