About this property

Lazy Bear Lodge, is a four bedroom Big Bear Cabin with three full baths features a game room with high-end competition pool table, Foosball table, bumper pool table that can convert into a poker table, enormous picture window looking over the scenic forest, and 4K flat screen TV plus Roku, HBO, and Showtime plus the sports package. This provides the perfect space for the kids to have their own room while the adults relax in the great room on the main level. That is if the adults don’t commandeer this room for themselves.

The updated kitchen has granite counters, stainless steel appliances and nice accent lighting. The great room has its own 4K flat screen TV with Roku so everyone has a place to watch their favorite movie or show.

Enjoy the great outdoors on the double lot with its own picnic table and hillside that is custom made for snow sledding. That means no driving or hiking and mom and dad can hang out with warm drinks on one of the decks or stay nice and cozy inside by the wood burning fireplace.

Grill up some tasty food on the out door natural gas barbeque.

The master suite has its own private 3/4 bath, king bed, 4k flat screen TV with a Roku, DVD player and deck access. The second bedroom has a queen and twin, and flatscreen TV with Roku. A full bathroom is in the hall. Downstairs are two more bedrooms, one with a full and twin, the last one with a queen and twin. Both bedrooms have flatscreen TVs and Rodu. A bathroom and laundry room is also on this level.

This is the complete retreat cabin in the preferred Moonridge neighborhood near the ski resorts. Come up to Big Bear and make memories for a lifetime in Lazy Bear Lodge.

Cozy getaway

The home is cozy, but does have a few things that need some attention. Coffee table wobbles. Refrigerator handle also wobbles. Some cookware unstable. Plenty mugs, not enough glasses. Flatware not all there.

Online description misleading

The location of this property is great. Unfortunately it has not been maintained at all. The pictures are many years old and does not accurately portray the condition of this home. An example: the table on the deck looks like it would be a great place to sit outside and enjoy a meal. In reality it has been exposed to the elements so long the surface is peeling and there is black mold on the table and chairs. Didn’t want to touch it. The inside is the same. The kitchen pots pans cookie sheets etc are disgusting. Very over used and need to be replaced. The rest of the house has potential but again other than dusting, vacuuming and wiping down bathrooms between rentals nothing is done. Game room is broken down and old. Pool balls missing and poolques are bent and broken. Carpet and upholstery is in desperate need of a cleaning. All the furniture in the house appears to have come from a thrift shop years ago. I went and bought sheets to cover them before we sat on them. Downstairs bathroom shower head was so corroded with calcium deposits we had to scrub it off to use. Their idea of COVID compliant is leaving a bottle of disinfectant spray on the kitchen counter with a note on it to use. Overall the house is filled with junk and very dirty. Would have walked out in the first 10 minutes had it been an option I have used VRBO for many years and this is my first experience with an property so poorly maintained

Outdated, unkempt - like a fraternity housing

We actually didn't stay here because the cabin was unacceptable- contacted Big Bear destinations and they were so helpful in finding us another unit. This unit would be great for a large college party that doesn't care about cleanliness or pride of ownership in a place.

Nice. Family appropriate with young children because of game room.

Thank you! We came at Christmas experienced a snow storm. Loved it. It was a bit pricey for what was offered. With that being said. My family made some beautiful memories. My husband and I loved the view from the master bedroom. We had a lock on the door and our own bathroom. I will be back. Grandkids loved sledding down hill in the back of cabin.
