Casalbordino has a train station, motorway, and great bus links (all airports but Pescara is the best as no queuing either end and staff are fab). Beaches are within the nature reserve - unspoiled, quiet, great for beachcombers - with a further more active beach at Casalbordino Lido. Madonna of the Miracles is a 15 minute walk and has a marvelous library of ancient texts. Regular ferry from the port here to Tremiti Islands which are a delight. Ice cream to die for and home of great wines - Montepuciliano - and free wine tasting in the wine groves. The nature reserves are a marvel. Most weekends there is a 'free' concert in the square (2 minutes walk) which is always fun and more serious operatic events each 3 weeks. Nearby Vasto is great for exploring ancient Italy (Romans) or a yet another public concert (free). You can organise horseriding with the vineyard owner up the road. The house sleeps 6 (2 double bedrooms) with a sofa bed in the sitting/dining room for a further guest. The house has a closed, patio garden which is not overlooked - so you could dance in the moonlight/barbecue should the mood fit. Sat TV, loads of DVD's, and books (English/French). The 2 balconies give over sea & countries views to the beaches.
