Before you pack up the car and head for the mountains, know that when we say mountains, we really mean it!
Downtown Bryson City has an elevation of 1,752 feet, so think of this as a starting point. The majority of our cabins will have a higher elevation than this. This means that our roads- both state and private- will be steeper, narrower, and curvier than you may be use to driving. Also, you should expect to encounter gravel roads. Consider it part of our rural mountain charm!
Here at Yellow Rose, your safety is our priority. If a cabin requires 4 wheel, front wheel, or all wheel drive to access it, it will be listed in the description. If bringing or riding motorcycles, please call and ask for motorcycle friendly properties. If you have any concerns about accessing your rental, please call prior to your arrival and we will be happy to discuss it with you.
Yellow Rose Realty has top rated customer service and has been Locally Owned and Operated Since 1995. We are a company that gives back to the local community and we offer our guests 24/7 Emergency Assistance. View our list of adventure partners to get Special Discounts on Popular Attractions!

Great place for a Mountain Stay
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Deep Creek Retreat more than met our needs. It was clean and comfortable for the 3 teachers and 16 upper elementary students. It's location was ideal for long hikes, beautiful views, and proximity to Cherokee, NC.

10 Bedrooms for extended family
Everyone agreed that having us all together in a big house made our gathering much more enjoyable, as opposed to being in 8 to 10 different hotel rooms. When we amortized the cost, it was decidedly less expensive than renting multiple hotel rooms. With two kitchens, including two refrigerators and plenty of kitchen, equipment, utensils, pots and pans, coffee mugs, etc. we were able to feed the crowd successfully many times. We were able to make the drip coffee maker work, but it took some engineering because it was not right. We were pleased with the adequate bedding, towels, toilet paper, and soap. We had a big crowd and did not run out of any of those essentials. The four bathrooms were an adequate number for us, since each one had an associated shower or tub. The sink areas were small but adequate. It should be noted that some of the bedroom areas did not close up very well for privacy. The living room and porch area was fantastic for our crowd. It gave the kids room to run and the adults space to socialize. It provided plenty of eating space. Everyone could have a seat at a table. Parking was never a problem. The view out to the smoky mountains was awesome. The location was wonderful. We walked from the house into the Smoky Mountains National Park along Deep Creek. The Ingles grocery store was less than 10 minutes away, and the microbreweries were easily accessible within 10 minutes. Overall, we had a wonderful extended family event.

Short winter stay
House wasn’t luxurious but it was adequate for our family of 14. The property mgmt was very quick to respond to our needs. Once we got fireplace and heaters going the house stayed warm enough.

Needs some work
The location was beautiful and location was prefect. At one time this house was a Retirement home and the furniture looks like it needs to be retired also. There was no central heat or air but all the bedroom had small heater. One of the rooms upstairs the heater was broken. Only one of the 4 bathrooms had heat. The stair case will never pass any inspection. It moved when you walked up and down. It only had one handrail and was open to the downstairs with no bannisters. Toilet seat where old and would not stay tightened. Floor in the upstairs shower is slippery and there where no hand holds for occupants. Shower downstairs needs handrails and a shower mat to keep the floor from being slippery. Lamp in master bedroom is broken along with a broken lamp in the living room. We could not find a clock in the house that was correct. The screen porch and glass wall onto the porch was very nice but some of the Chairs on porch are broken. There was no internet access in the house but it did have a single TV in the main living area. The TV did have cable. The parking area was nice and large so we had plenty of space for vehicles. Over all I would not recommend this house to anyone. The stair case is to dangerous for anyone. We rented this retreat for a family gathering place. My 95 year old father was only able to walk upstairs with assistant. I have had a stroke and the stair case was difficult for myself also. The kitchen was upstairs and so is the dinning area so we where not able to stay downstairs and still be with the family. The description of this home needs to be improved to make all renters aware of the issue. I feel it would be rentable if you advertised this property as a "Haunted Insane Asylum"
