About this property
Lake Views, Luxury,HotTub,Game Rm! 5bed/4.5bath!
Welcome to your Mountain Getaway! This custom built 5bed/ 4.5 bath 4000 sq ft. cabin sits on 3 acres and is built from Oak timber frame beams. It overlooks Fontana Lake and is perfect for a large family or group of friends! Features hot tub, chef's kitchen, game room, hottub and plenty of room to stretch out. Bring your Boat/Paddleboard/Canoe and enjoy the community marina! 25 mins to downtown Bryson City, 30 min to Harrahs Casino/ Cherokee/Blue Ridge Parkway, 10 min to WNC's best trails!
Guest's will have access to the entire Cabin, except the wine cellar and the Sauna which is not currently functioning.
“PRIVATE HIKING TRAILS:
At the beginning of the small gravel path that leads to the firepit, look to your right and you'll see a trail through the woods. Follow to the end (200 yards or so), and go LEFT down the gully/where the land folds (this part is not a cleared trail yet) for another 100 yards and it will lead to a larger trail which winds throughout the entire Fontana Lake Estates property.
The Community Marina operates throughout the year. Located on a regulated lake, the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) begins to raise the water level a few weeks prior to Memorial Day and maintains this level until Labor Day, after which the water level is gradually lowered. Despite fluctuations in water height, the boat ramp remains accessible year-round. Boats must be retrieved by day's end, and both trailers and boats can be parked in the designated upper day parking area.
You are right near Lake Fontana; Close to all of WNC's best attractions (harrah's casino, Bryson City, Sylva/Waynesville, Lake Santeelah, and tons of trails and great food!).
The home is located in Fontana Lake Estates, a luxury home gated development and its fully paved with only 1 small segment being steep. The last 1/4 mile to the house is gravel but can be accessed with 2WD vehicle.
The home sits on 3 acres, so you have total privacy.
Please bring your own Keurig cups for the coffee maker.
Fireplace are off from May-October
4WD vehicles are recommended from December-April
CAUTION!!
The gas stovetop requires manual lighting. Please run the gas and use the long-nose lighter to light the burner !!
If it does not light right away. Wait a few minutes and let the gas clear before trying again.

This includes crawl spaces, under decks, or near any outdoor mechanical equipment such as HVAC. We provide a starter pack of basic necessities, such as toilet paper, trash bags, soap/shampoo, and paper towels.
Our cleaners also usually leave (if applicable) dishwasher tablets/dish soap, coffee, oil/salt/pepper, etc.
We do our best to provide the basics, but please consider that it is really meant for getting you started in for shorter stays. If you need a little extra of any of these items, let us know, and we’ll do our best to assist you!
You have a propane-type grill at this property, feel free to use it at your convenience. However, kindly note that you will be responsible for refilling the propane tank should it run out during your use.
If you want to be sure you will not run out, you may purchase a tank at the nearest hardware store. (Please see your guidebook in the guest portal for the recommended store near your cabin)
Please use the garbage containers on the outside of the cabin. Please do not leave food and trash on the decks and porches.
Bear protection:
1) Do not feed or interact with bears if you see them. Never get in between a mama bear and her cub.
2) Never run away from bears, they would think you are prey. Stay 50 yards away.
3) If needed, make loud noises and move slowly
4) Do not put trash outside unless it's in the bear-proof containers- it will attract bears!
5) Take pictures since they are so cute! But DO NOT approach. Lock car doors and cabin doors as bears have been known to get into them!
6) Remove all food and trash from your vehicles! Bears can smell it and can damage your vehicle trying to get to the food!
7) Keep your car doors locked at all times. Bears are getting wiser and they can open car doors.
Should you have any questions or need anything whatsoever, please do not hesitate to let us know and we will be more than happy to help you.
