Beautiful ranch style lodge on gorgeous 80 acres with a 2 acre pond. Newley remodeled and close to Mcphee, Mesa Verde, San Juan National forest, Cortez, Dolores, Telluride and Durango. Sleeps up to 12. All amenities to make your stay as comfortable as home. Game room with pool table and bar, 4 bathrooms, large kitchen, fireplace, top of the line memory foam mattresses. Two master suites with private bathrooms. Claw foot tub with walk in showers. Beautiful views of Ute Mountain. Plenty of parking for larger groups. Beautifully landscaped with orchard and rose garden . Feel free to feed the trophy bass and trout that we have stocked in the pond. Close to Dolores and Cortez. McPhee only 5 miles away. The Dolores river 2 miles away with gold medal waters. Paved road all the way up to property. Hosts live next door. There is taxidermy in the lodge if you are offended by this it may not be the right place for you.

Waste of $1700

Picked this rental for a large group and the whole group had to help clean the complete outside of the property in order to have a small wedding ceremony. Everything outside on the covered porches were covered in dirt,cobwebs and dust and bird crap. .Some windows were inoperable unles you held the mechanism in place to crank the window.The fact that the owners dont make sure the property is freshly cleaned and the grass mowed sent red flags instantly. The bridge in the pictures that was supposed to be the centerpiece for the after weddings pictures was not the one shown and the email said that other parts of the property would be accessible but all the gates were closed.The house is nice but not worth the money

We had 11 adults staying at the house..plenty of beds and bedding.. We were there for a golf tournament, it was so convenient, only about 7 min away from the beautiful Conquistidor Golf Course.. Also on minutes away from the lovely little town of Dolores. This house was everything and more!!! Hopefully we will be back next year and are able to vrbo this same home.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hunting lodge for a non-hunter friends trip

This property is exactly as it looks in the pictures. It’s spacious, property owners were responsive and the master bathroom was very nice. Big and well stocked kitchen. There are a lot of different seating areas and a great game room. One thing we didn’t realize was the outdoor space - we brought some lawn chairs and played yard games outside as well. A lot of taxidermy in the home and photos of trophy hunts. It’s an additional home on the owner’s working ranch - more of a farm house than mountain house. Overall, we enjoyed the stay.

Handy for everything we wanted to see.

This is a very nice property. Everything was nice and a great fit for our family. We enjoyed the lake and the pool table. It had nice appliances and comfortable beds. It only has one draw back, it does not have central air conditioning. That is probably alright for that part of the country for most months, but not for July. Very close to Mesa Verde, Durango, Silverton,Telluride and National Parks in Utah.

Beautiful and spacious home!

This house is as advertised. It's beautiful, with lots of space. We were a group of 8 and had plenty of room. Josh and Gina were amazing hosts. They were quick to respond and even cleared the driveway for us after a night of snow. This was our first trip to Colorado, in hopes of a white Christmas and we were not disappointed! We definitely plan on coming back for summer fun! Thanks again for sharing your home with us. So many wonderful memories were made!

The pond was fun for the kids to fed the fish. We enjoyed pool competitions in the evening. The house is close to grocery stores, gas, restaurants, and Indian cultural centers. We also went swimming at the reservoir, but it was cold! The house is only a little over 30 minutes from the Mesa Verde entrance. So it was easy getting into the park each day. Good location and good house.

We had a fantastic stay. The house was just as pictured, clean, and quiet. It was plenty big enough to hold our party of seven. The beds were very comfortable. Gina was easy to work with and responded quickly to my emails. She even made sure the house had ESPN for my husband to watch football. We visited the Anasazi Museum and Mesa Verde during our stay. The house was a perfect location. I'm not sure why the previous review said the lake was unusable because that was our favorite part of the house. We loved feeding the fish every morning and night. (At least 15 trout at a time.) There was a fishing boat with life jackets provided that we spent hours playing on the pond with. We also brought our own paddle boards and life jackets. My kids spent hours racing, splashing, and relaxing on the pond. It was absolutely gorgeous to sit on the pond and watch the sunset. Fantastic! We hope to visit again and stay longer next time!!

The house is lovely, well furnished and the beds were super comfortable. The lake was not as we expected, not usable to boat or fish, a little disappointing for the teenagers we had with us. Josh was very quick to fix the minor problem we had with the ice maker.

Perfect Place, no complaints from anyone.

This is an awesome property, a great gathering place for our family. Lots of room outside of the grand kids to run around and play, for the adults to relax. the pond, grass and the house were terrific and space for all, no crowding. A very quiet area away from it all, yet close to town made it very convenient for what ever desires we may have had. The owners did a great job of setting it up with everything we may have needed, wanting for nothing. If our travels bring us back that direction, this will be the place we will stay, it may become a family tradition.

Brought my adult children and teenage grandchildren along with one infant. They all loved it! We had preplanned outings each day and they all wish we had one more day to stay and just enjoy the property. We had taken the teenagers river rafting and they all preferred paddling around the pond in the paddle boat at the property over the river rafting trip. There were plenty of nice TV's that never got turned on. We played pool, chess, and just visited out on the cozy lawn chairs. We all loved our stay!

Family Adventurers

We were searching for a quiet, relaxing place to gather our family over the holidays...and found it! The first few days we spent were with two of our adult children. We enjoyed the billiard table and the warm, cozy family room with fireplace. Audio and television systems were awesome and user friendly. The kitchen was roomy and fully equipped. Another family of five arrived later in the week. We had plenty of rooms and beds for nine people (three generations). We cooked all meals together and enjoyed the wildlife table and glass ware. Loved being snowed in by 18" of snow! We were able to access property with four wheel drive at all times, but didn't want to leave. After the teenaged grandchildren arrived, we spent time in the pastures and around the huge pond playing in the snow (picture snow forts and snowball fights) under the impossibly blue sky. I could not help but wake early to watch the beautiful sunrise each morning. We had to stop many card and board games to take in the view of storms moving over the Sleeping Ute Mountain and incredible sunsets from the huge windows in the living and dining rooms. Although the property in closely situated to a main highway, it felt very rural and private. The teenagers went snow boarding for a reasonable price at Hesperus, which was only a half hour drive. Both Telluride and Purgatory are near but are pricier. We have all spent time at Mesa Verde in the past so didn't take it in on this trip, but its probably only a half hour drive. The owners of this beautiful ranch are hunting guides and the property has a lodge feel that was perfect for this area with its' western heritage. There were many places in the home to find privacy for reading and napping. There were card and board games always in progress and were never in the way of cooking. The home was tastefully decorated for Christmas, which was a huge plus. The bathrooms were well stocked with toiletries and the laundry room had everything necessary to keep up with laundry for nine. The beds and bedding were top notch. We loved staying at this property and would love to spend time here at any time of year. Looking forward to taking a vacation that would include boating on McPhee Reservoir (which is five minutes away) during the warm summer months. Thank you Josh and Gina for the perfect holiday retreat!
