This was probably my favourite stay of all time with my friends. House is super spacious and the location is for playing golf, fish or kayak. Would visit again!

Great house to stay for the Weekend with the Family. Water front views and close to the beach. Short walk to the water and walking distance to the shops. One of the bathroom doors lock wasn't working but apart from that the house was perfect, Definitely will come back.

Golf trip

I’ve stayed here before. Was a bit disappointed this time around. No bathroom doors lock properly, chairs in kitchen are really grubby. The oven wasn’t working and we weren’t told before we got there that we would have to use a small bench top oven.

We stayed at the house for 4 nights and overall we had a good time and was pleased with the house. The only thing was it’s abit noisy at night as it’s very close to the bridge. Also there were no clothes hangers so we could not use the wardrobe. It’d be more enjoyable if the weather was not raining most days!.

Easy days at Lakeview

Enjoyed our stay as property is clean and spacious and comfortable for 2 families as described and well set up to prep Xmas lunch. It has a beautiful outlook over the water. A few tweaks would make a difference.. better bed linen with top sheets (we took our own after reading reviews). More regular knives( not steak knives) and more forks. Queen Bed in master bedroom is not supported properly. And the garage opening switch was very high! But overall we enjoyed our time and it was easy to go for walks by the lake or get to the beach from there. Pelican watching is very amusing!

wonderful water views

We stayed 4 night, this is a big house with 3 levels, plenty of room and the water views are lovely and the location is great, walk to Windang Bowling Club and the row shops on the main road. great little area to through a fishing line in or have a little swim. The owner very quick to answer questions. the gas fire place perfect for the winter days . Bath towels are provided - but they are old. If we have the chance to go back, we would take our own towels, and they did not have any wine glasses - so a quick trip to the shop for wine glasses. The bedrooms does not have any reading lamps. The Modern key pad door entry took a little working out on how to close and lock the door, perhaps a small note on the back inside of the door would help for those not familiar with new technology The biggest down fall of this property is the late night traffic noise from the main road, but that is not something the owner can fix - the size of the property and the location and access to the water is a big plus.

Beautoful Holiday Home

We decided to have a little family trip before the kids go back to school. For 2 families in total, the property catered to everything we needed.The kids and our hubbies enjoyed the fishing so we spent majority of our days and nights across the street watching them fish.Kids enjoyed their stay and gave 10stars.My parents enjoyed relaxing out in the front balcony every morning, drinking their coffees while watching the grandkids attempt to fish. The house accomodated for 10 of us, Minor things for imrpovement but in our eyes, the property but just absolutely beautiful and the layout of the house, We cannot fault. The view of the Lake in the mornings were gorgeous, Plenty of things to do..We all enjoyed our stay, we took our own blankets and pillows. The house had a kayak,paddle boards,even a BBQ for us to use.The host replied to every question and enquiries we had.Overall, the kids rated the best holiday spot ever!!the only downfall was, after spending days at this location, we did not want to check out especially for the price we had to pay, it was a bargain. Thank You for allowing us to book a relaxing,fun and beautiful home for the long weekend. FYI - there are shops around the property, Local Hotels and Pubs with amazing food, overall, it is definetly the perfect spot for a family getaway.We will definetly book this place for our next holiday away.

This property was a lovely 4 bedroom home with nice decor, mostly. There were several disappointments with it unfortunately. It is very close to a main road so traffic noise is an issue at night and the level of cleanliness was poor. Stains on all the dining room chairs was unpleasant, a large spill of a brown liquid was all through the fridge, dirty smudges on the upstairs toilet wall and bathroom doors, toilet roll holders in most bathrooms were falling off the walls and food left on plates and glasses that had been put away for next use. I was also unhappy that the entrance code was not sent the day before as promised and no response came from the owner from emails and phone calls until the day we left to go to the property. The response was that if the phone number is not recognised by the owner then it is not answered. Disappointing. We left the property cleaner than before and a bit embarrassed having brought overseas visitors there at a big expense to us. As lovely as Windang is and the house, we cannot recommend this property

Beautiful home lovely front views, spoiled by random fireworks every night

We had a family holiday in this beautiful house with Lakeside views for a week. The owner responded in a reasonable time to any questions. We had garage parking and were very comfortable once we worked out how to get inside the house. Communication explaining how to use ‘it’ would have been helpful beforehand. (just a heads up there). The downside was there was no complimentary coffee, sugar, or any kitchen cooking supplies so bring your own salt, pepper sauces etc. The towels were very threadbare so once again bring your own like we did. Lots of wardrobes and hanging space but only 3 coat hangers in the whole house. The bins were really smelly and had not been collected, possibly because food rubbish was placed in the recycling bins by the previous party. Hooligans also setting off fireworks every night we were there around 2am -4am really p!$$€d us off and kept waking the children. The views of the lake and the house itself can’t be faulted. It’s just a shame the nights were not undisturbed. Would I go again… not at the rates we paid a day with check in at 4pm and early check out at 10am. And not during New Years holiday week.

The property itself is a great layout & plenty of space inside & out. The location is excellent & we enjoyed looking out at the lake & using the water craft on the lake. However, the cleanliness & presentation of the property was really disappointing. We had to clean the kitchen, including the fridge & freezer when we first arrived. The freezer stunk & was filthy. We were not provided with cloths in the kitchen or tea towels so we had to buy these. The handrails on the stairs were also filthy & we had to clean these as well. The laundry wasn't clean & the laundry baskets provided were both broken, which wasn't a good look for a holiday home. They should have been replaced. There were dirty rags in one. We couldn't find an iron. Most drawers in the bathrooms & living areas were not clean & were messy. The storage cupboard for towels was a total mess. There were marks on most doors & windows, particularly little hand prints down low. The rubbish bin in the kitchen is rusted & wasn't clean. There was still rubbish in the bin. All rubbish bins in the bathrooms were not clean. The floors were not clean. The mop bucket was broken. The rubbish wheelie bins had not been emptied so we couldn't dispose of our own rubbish in those bins by the end of our stay & had to use a public bin on the other side of the road. We only had 1 small pot to cook with & had to improvise with fry pans to do all our cooking. We expected a lot better & have had better in holiday home presentation.

Noisy and lacking in any charm

Whilst the house is very roomy and functional it is let down by the proximity to a busy road. I would not recommend this for people who are after a quiet getaway. It feels very urban and bland.

Great view - Poor cleanliness.

Great view & location. Poor cleanliness, functionality of house equipment & design. Could do with a broom for every level, yes many split level property. Not enough dish soap, bin bags, things to keep the house tidy. If you stay here it’s for the view and location close to beach and fishing only. Glass windows paper thin so be prepared to hear fishman on bridge talk all night. Loved little nook for kids in bunk room. Many toilets very helpful. Just rooms dirty on floor, kitchen oven not cleaned out, pantry food Scraps food - not clean. Big bin full - also not told when to put outside to collect. Not information about place. Would be better if had information book, eatery, places to go etc. overall we booked for the view and it delivered that.
