The house was perfect for our family of 6 adults and 6 children. It was close to the beach and Michigan's Adventure. The house was well-stocked. The gameroom was great for the children as was the large back yard. We had a blast!
Great location and very spacious house. Only concern was the air conditioning could not keep up which made the upstairs bedrooms nearly 80 degrees. It is not an issue if it cools down at night but when we stayed, the temps did not fall at night so opening windows was not an option. Also not a lot of cookware so plan on bringing some pans.
There were 21 of us and our time at this property was so enjoyable! There was sufficient space and accommodations were good. The big back yard and patio with the beach close by was great for our little ones. The big table and well stocked kitchen helped make the stay enjoyable.
The house was awesome. Great gathering rooms, kitchen, location,
pool table, "foosball"fire pit and more.
Only improvements would be another bathroom on the first floor and more light in the front living area. We loved our time there.

Great home. Great location
We were a group friends of 10 adults. The house was clean, lots of space. Loved the big table. Loved that some of us could be seating on two separate rooms to watch TV.
The house is fantastic. Very large and great location. The drawbacks were some of the small details, windows dirty, Grill not cleaned, foosball and pool table not good, when we moved the couches it was not clean. I would definitely recommend and would stay here again, I just wish they would just address the small issues.
This was the perfect property for our group who was in town to visit family. We all had plenty of room, and the house has tons of seating areas. Some of the lighting was a bit tricky to figure out, but that was a minor thing. Only thing lacking in the kitchen was potholders, so we just used kitchen towels and went on with our meal. Hot tub was a nice touch at the end of the day!
When pulling up the driveway the house is deceiving. It looks small but then you go inside and, WOW! Tons of space! We had 19 in our family 11 of whom were children ranging in ages 4-14. Loved the spaciousness, the closeness to the beach and to Michigan Adventure. It was a much needed vacation for my husband and I, our kids and grandkids!

Needs some updates
The house and yard were big and the kitchen was good. The house was clean and the hot tub was clean. The major problem we had was a lack of hot water for showers. We had 22 there and had to take some cold showers or wait for a long time for water to heat up. Very hard to get young children to take a cold bath or shower. Called our contact person who said someone would be out to fix it. We were there 6 days and no one came. Some small details that could be better is not enough toilet paper, had to bring our own. We brought several tables with, so that our group could eat together and had tables to serve off of. Could use more bath towels also. Lots of fun things to do nearby. Went to Duck Lake State Park and Michigan Adventure and nearby public golf course.

Hi Karen, thank you so much for staying with us and for taking the time to share your thoughts. We followed up with the homeowner, and they wanted to share the following:
-The home features six bedrooms and four bathrooms, including one in the loft with a separate hot water heater. While the property can accommodate up to twenty-two guests by utilizing all available sleeping spaces, larger groups may experience limited space and reduced comfort.
-Regarding hot water, we have not received any prior concerns about its availability, even with large groups. While it’s uncommon for any home to accommodate twenty-two people showering simultaneously, there have been no complaints about hot water at this property before or since.
-For our guests’ convenience, we provide four rolls of toilet paper per bathroom and ample towels to accommodate everyone. Additionally, a washer and dryer are available on-site for your use if needed.
We strive to provide an exceptional experience for all guests, as reflected in the consistent positive feedback we receive.
It was a little like camping, If you have ever rented or owned a camper well the beds and water were very similar.
Over all we had a good time and were satisfied with the house, Lots of space to spread out and very outdoorsey, but if you are looking for luxury keep looking. Going to the beach will require loading up and driving over.
We did enjoy the fire pit every night and the mini mart so close was a big plus as well.
I can see where some folks would leave a bad review (you are spoiled get over yourself ) for the most part it was good and we made some great memories with the kids.
We were very hopeful for this trip. Photos showed a very spacious house, even for our bigger group. Great location, quick drive to the beach. That all was proven true. However, a few things that bothered the group: I reached out prior to check in to make sure there were enough towels and toilet paper given the size of our group and was told to bring extra of both just incase. Then I asked about propane for the grill and was told it “might be full” and if not we were directed to go get a refill ourselves at the local market. Maybe I’m wrong, but my understanding of being a host is to make things as easy as possible for the guests, not make them bring extra of what should be house amenities and then telling us to pay out of pocket for the house grill. The final incident happened as we were cleaning before checking out. We found a lot of mouse poop under one of the couches. Very disturbing, especially since we had young children with us. Extremely unacceptable and just flat out disgusting! If ever back in the area, we will not be pursuing a second stay at this house.
We had 23 ppl stay in this house for 3 nights. Michelle was our contact and was very helpful, answering all of our questions.
The 2 bedrooms on the main floor share the full bath that is just off the kitchen.
The 3 bedrooms up the main stairs are wonderful. Tw of them share the same hallway bathroom but one has its own bath and a large closet that a 2 yr old’s pack ‘n play fit in beautifully. The other bedroom above the garage is very private and large and has its own bath.
The living areas (living room and game room) are very large, each with lg TV, and much comfy seating. The dining area has a very large table. The kitchen is tiny but well stocked with dishes, flatware. - with a table & 4 chairs.
Nice front porch.
Very close to an adorable very handy market called white duck market. The owner is great.
Almost a mile to public beach. My husband and I walked easily. A dune to climb and run down.
We were very pleased with everything about the house.
Extra full refrigerator in the garage.
Great location which backs up to a golf course and is close to the beach. Beach is not a reasonable walkable distance for families with children since it’s a two lane road with no sidewalk but Parking at the state park was easy. The place itself provided plenty of room for the 12 adults and 8 kids. Could use some updates with (fixture corrosion in baths, paint missing, yard screen door not usable since screen was ripped off), the firepit did not have any chairs (as featured in the photos). Kitchen was undersized for cooking for large groups but we managed. There were communications deficits with the host with attempting to reach for questions prior to our departure (place is managed by Evolve). A single water heater for a house this size became problematic with the number of adults during this reservation. You will also need to buy or bring your own propane. It is not supplied. We bought a tank refill across the street which was easy to do. The house itself was adequate for our purposes of a family reunion, just needs a little TLC.

Mediocre Property
The best thing that we can say about this property is that it was clean upon arrival, close to a great State Park (less than a mile), and had plenty of yard and space to spread out for the whole family.
The negatives:
The home was very well used- tired and not kept up. The impression was that this was not a pride and joy location for the owner or property manager.
The beds were very poor quality - some were unsleepable even. The mattresses were saggy or rock hard, or not even a mattress at all but an inch of foam on a box spring. Very dissatisfying when trying to sleep for a week. The pull out couch did not have a fitted sheet and when we asked the property manager why there wasn't enough sheets I did not even get a response.
The kitchen was lacking in utensils and cookware for 24 people.
The garage and outdoor spaces were filthy and not kept up.
Overall just very disappointing for the amount of money spent for a family vacation.

From the owner: "Ingrid, thank you for staying with us! We are sorry your experience in our home, fell short of your expectations.
- We were unaware the mattresses were in bad condition. We understand how. frustrating this can be, especially during vacation. We will be stopping by for an overall inspection and we'll go ahead and order new, more comfortable mattresses.
- As far as not having enough utensils and cookware, I will be checking on that as well. We do have extra untensils in the house somewhere in the kitchen drawers, in their original packaging. We are sorry that they weren't readily available for your group.
- Our house cleaner, who usually responds to guests' requests, was out of town during your stay and probably away from her phone.
- We wish you had reached out if there were any issues you needed to be addressed during your stay. We would have done everything we could to resolve them immediately so that you could enjoy the home.
We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!"

Accommodating but needs improvement
Overall our stay was good. The house was huge and very accommodating for our large family weekend. More than enough beds and the beds/pillows were actually comfortable. Kitchen had more than enough dishwater, utensils, cups. There was several things that were not ok though. The grill was not usable. It was rusted and looked like it’s been left out or open in bad weather. We were not able to cook on it. Even if we could, we would have needed to buy our own propane. I have never had a rental supply a barbecue with no propane. We did however, find a small grill smoker in the basement that we were able to buy charcoal for and used it to get the job done. However, being that we planned both of our dinners to barbecue for 20+ people it was a bit tedious to cook on a small grill. The house can accommodate 20+ people, but some items did not suffice for 20+ people for three nights/4 days. There was one roll of paper towels for our entire stay, only two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, and five small trash bags for the entire stay, needless to say we had to buy paper towels, toilet paper, and trash bags for the household. There was no aluminum foil, or Ziploc bags. I know this isn’t mandatory, but it is nice if the kitchen is stocked. Lastly, we requested to leave an hour later as 10 AM was pretty early to get out 20+ people. They honored the request, but asked if we could wash a load of towels. Not a problem, but the rental does not provide any kind of laundry detergent.
We had plenty of room. The house is well supplied with dishes, silverware, utensils and towels. There is no extra bedding,so bring blankets if you get cold easily. It's a nice location. Adults can walk to Lake Michigan beaches, but you need to drive with supplies and children. The house is enormous with lots of different areas. We had plenty of room for extended family and the yard is big for outdoor playing.
One thing, the first floor bath was used by my 92 year old inlaws and the shower was very slippery with no grab bars. We bought a mat for the shower floor, but maybe some kind of bars would be good. The bed and bath are perfectly situated for someone with mobility issues though.
Not a luxury home, but great for a big family to sprawl in.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Communication
Clean but otherwise Overrated
This property's positives were the proximity to the beach and the size of the home, as well as the cleanliness. That's it.
For the price of staying here it was seriously lacking many things:
1. Sheets for all the listed beds (beds need to be upgraded I might add)
2. Enough pots/pans for the amount of people on site
3. Communication with Site Manager (didn't even get back to me when I asked for the sheets for the fold out)
4. It was obvious that no one had been in to fix repairs that were needed for quite some time (holes in the walls, toilet paper holder was coming off the wall, the garage was filthy, etc)
5. Just overall overrated

Great home for a family gathering
Our family stayed here for a week and enjoyed our stay. The home is very large with multiple seating and TV areas. It was perfect for our needs.
