Beautiful Original Artwork Throughout A Quaint Centrally Located Helena Home
My house is full of beautiful art, mostly created by my artistic children! (They have all moved onward!) I have a beautiful Tuscany kitchen that is fully stocked with everything you might need! My living room and dining area are cozy spots for you to sit and relax. You will definitely need to check out my music room, where I have a plethora of musical instruments and sheet music. There are three bedrooms on the second floor, plus a bathroom with a tub/shower. My bedroom (the fourth bedroom is on the first floor.) The "Montana Room," is rustic, with antique furniture and mountain-themed artwork. This is the largest of the three rooms. It has a queen sized bed, and a desk area for those needing to work. The "Costa Rica" bedroom is lovely and the bed itself is soooo comfortable! (a queen size bed.) My friend and I traveled to Costa Rica a few years ago and so I filled this room with the many things I bought from that trip. I have a small refrigerator in this bedroom for guests to use. The "Bumblebee Room has a full-sized bed. There is a "chalkboard painted" wall, and so you can spend time drawing your own masterpiece!) This yellow, white and black room is so cheerful and there is a nice desk for those needing a work space. The fourth bedroom is on the first floor and has a full-sized bed. This room has lovely Tuscany finished walls, braided rug, and crocheted bedspread I have a Keuric coffee and tea maker (one cup coffee maker), and I generally leave out something quick to eat, like banana bread and/or granola and yogurt. I often have fresh fruit out as well. My backyard is lovely. I have put much time and energy into landscaping this small, quiet spot. And please check out my "Art Garage." I teach classes throughout the year, (currently teaching 2 after-school classes per week - during the school year and facilitate an art camp for a few weeks each summer.

Really enjoyed our stay. Came for our Moms funeral so we wanted a space that 8 people could comfortably spead out and we definitely did with the house and great little back yard area.

Had a delightful time in this beautiful house.
Would suggest more than one shower for ten people.
Check in process was clear and easy. Host communicates promptly. Fun house with a lot of charm and with 4 bedrooms has lots of space as well as privacy when wanted. Kitchen has everything you need. Great location for capital, downtown, carroll college.
The stay was perfect for our needs this weekend. We did not struggle to find parking, the house was fully stocked with bathroom amenities, all one would need to cook meals, relax indoors or outdoors, was incredibly decorated with the heart of a true artist, was quiet and very comfortable. Theresa even left us fresh flowers and banana bread! Overall, it was a fantastic stay and we would come here again.

Charming Home in Helena
This is a lovely, charming, art and music-filled home in a great location of Helena. The home is lovingly cared for and clearly a treasured family home. Theresa was a wonderful host, and our children had a great time with all of her art supplies and musical instruments! It's also in a great neighborhood, and close to all the sights in Helena! We would definitely recommend this home to others, and we would love to stay here again!

Thank you for the kind words. There are lots of potential art projects in the art garage, so yes... come again with the kids!
The house was exactly as pictured, rooms were large enough. Beds were comfortable with enough pillows and blankets. Only downfall was freezer was a little overstocked
This is a very eclectic, cozy (in the warm comfy way, not the super small way) and cool house. It’s bigger then it looks from the outside and is full of cool art, instruments and nice extras…an outside seating area, a lawn, coffee and some snack items. The owner is nice, very easy to communicate with and responsive. We will stay there again in the future if we are in Helena.
Interesting old house. Hostess provided snack of banana bread and fruit as well as coffee and tea.
Only one tub/shower. Older guest was somewhat challenged to climb in and out of it.
6 Family Members in town for an event. This house worked out really well for us. Spacious bedrooms, a very functional kitchen, tons of areas to hang out in and socialize. Fantastic backyard. Fun and artistic decor. Lots of personality. Great linens and towels. Great location!
We stayed in Helena 4 nights for our son's wedding and 8 of us stayed here. We found the as described and very comfortable. The backyard was wonderful for eating outside and visiting. We enjoyed the beautiful artwork throughout the house. It was within walking distance of downtown and some hikes. We used our cars very little except for the wedding. While we did not meet our host, communication was excellent. We appreciated the use of the kitchen and washer/dryer. Thank you so much!!
Theresa is wonderful and her home was very comfortable and welcoming. Definitely recommend.
Theresa and her home were the best experience we’ve had since using VRBO/AirBnB. Traveling to our home town with so many made our stay so much easier being able to stay comfortably in one home yet still be able to spend time with our family living there. Thank you very much, Theresa.

Great location, comfortable home
Perfect location to walk to the Capitol, History Museum, cathedral, Last Chance Gulch, and more. Stores and restaurants close by too, but a quiet neighborhood. The house is comfortable and well equipped, and there's a great outdoor space too.

About the host

I am very interested in the arts; good movies, art, music, dance, and above all - stimulating conversation. I work as a counselor and I also teach art lessons in my "art garage."
Why they chose this property
I fell in love with this house - the old architecture. When I bought my house, I was given the house papers - dating back to 1876! The yellowed paper, with beautiful handwritten notes marks the history of the house. I love that I am part of this history! I also fell in love with this neighborhood. I can walk to just about everything. When the weather is nice, I often walk to the grocery store, or walk or bike downtown. The houses in this area are eclectic! A mansion is next door to a house built in the 50s, which is next to a very small bungalow. This also describes the people who live in this area.... eclectic. A year ago a group organized a "South Central Neighborhood" street party. This event was well attending and really had a feel of a small community.
What makes this property unique
Again, I fell in love with this house immediately. The kitchen is to die for! (lots of cabinets!) I also love the extra room in the back of the house (music room.) I currently teach piano lessons in this room! The back yard is just perfect for me - a peaceful plot with lovely flowers in the summer - and a yard small enough for me to use my push mower! Of course, the garage was a major selling point for me, as my family has operated an "art camp" out of the detached garage each summer. I took my time with updating the inside. I generally worked on one room at a time, stripping off layers of wallpaper, mudding and sanding over the old plaster walls, tearing out the old carpets and having the beautiful wood floors refinished.
