About this property

Walk to the Beach from a Cape Dutch Heritage Bungalow

Uber luxurious three bedroom heritage house with a sun deck, a garden, a fire place, latest security features and a stunning location in Green Point in downtown Cape Town with its trendy, cafe-styled streets and urban village lifestyle. It is a 5 minutes walk from the ocean, its beaches, the promenade, the stunning Green Point park and scores of shops, cafes and restaurants. It is a 15 minutes walk or a 5-7 minutes drive to V&A Waterfront, Camps Bay, Table Mountain, Long Street & Sea Point.

Our home is a cozy spot up the slopes of Signal hill, a part of Table Mountain National Park right in the middle of Atlantic Seaboard in downtown Cape Town. Its smack bang in town yet on a quiet, leafy street, a 5 minute walk to the trendy, cafe-styled streets and urban village lifestyle of Green Point. It is a 5-7 minute drive from V&A Waterfront, Table Mountain and the stunning white beaches of Camps Bay. Also, it is situated smack bang in the middle of the party districts at Long Street and Sea Point. Our home has 3 bed rooms and 2 luxurious bathrooms. Our home has two lounges - one with a fireplace and another around the TV which can be converted into a 4th bedroom for one person if needed and upon request. Our favorite part is the area outside which has a little pond, a sun deck, patio and a little garden.

The property is a heritage structure and its garage can accommodate normal size sedans easily (for e.g. a Hyundai Accent) and even slightly bigger cars like a Mercedes C class but not large or tall SUVs. If you've got one of the large ones then you can always park on the street in front of the garage.

Wonderful location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Perfectly located, well secure, and the owners are quick to respond and happy to provide recommendations for things to do. We absolutely loved Cape Town. Can’t wait to return. Thank you Gagan and Gautami!

Great location

We have stayed at other locations in Cape Town this year and this house was hands down the best located. The parking was good and very convenient . Although our rental did not fit in the garage, we were able to park in front of the garage, which guaranteed a perfect location. Our experience has taught us that parking is a prime qualification in a rental in Cape Town! The house was as described. The only negatives we encountered were that we felt the lighting was a bit dim, and we would have liked to have a tv in the den where the comfortable seating was located. The tv did not accept hdmi, internet ,or apple inputs. This was not a major problem for us. Overall it was a great stay, a classic house.

Just close your eyes and reserve this place!

This house, literally in the heart of Cape Town, is a masterpiece of comfort and luxury and is really quite well appointed. It is located on a safe, leafy street in Green Point allowing my family to walk around and soak in Cape Town with a sense of confidence and safety. It is a 10 minute walk to the beach, to the promenade and to the unbelievably beautiful Green Point park. It is a 5-10 minute walk to a bunch of trendy cafes, restaurants and shops. We highly recommend Giovanni and Hudsons. You don't need a car if you stay here as everything is a short walk or Uber away but we had rented one to be able to explore the wine lands and go to Cape Point. The house has all the safety features you will need for a relaxed stay. The bungalow is sunny, airy and cozy and has 3 beautifully appointed bedrooms. The patio is sunny and relaxing and a great place to barbecue. There is a little garden backyard which is refreshingly green and provides a shady spot for a hot afternoon. My three young kids had a gala time living in this secure and family friendly place. The hosts Gagan and Gautami, who live a few streets away, were super friendly and communicative all through and even left a bottle of wine for us - a lovely little touch. I'd recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Cape Town and cares about a safe, friendly, easy space in an excellent location.
