House was super clean. Beds were comfy and the front deck was great for visiting w/family and viewing the city down below. We did not use the kitchen, but it was well stocked for meal prep. Really enjoyed our time in Bisbee. Hosts were very responsive and friendly!
Unfortunately was unable to stay for personal health reasons. We did arrive at the property and found it to be charming and extremely well maintained. The bathroom is located on the ground floor and bedrooms on the second floor. We worried this would not be navigable during the night given our physical limitations. The owners were very gracious in addressing our concerns. This would be a great place for someone who does not have our disabilities.
Super sweet place. Furniture in living room is different than photos. Enjoyed the sunsets on the front patio. Super warm spring weekend and the a/c worked perfectly. Communication with host was great. Parking at the property is a challenge if you drive a truck especially if there are guests staying in front property. No fault of the host. Bisbee is hilly with narrow roads and driveways.
We had a very nice stay! Loved the location, close to everything. The only thing negative was that there wasn’t a yard or enclosed area for our dogs but just the fact it was pet friendly was great and we of course adapted and figured out where to walk them etc.
Clean and comfortable living with a view in the heart of Old Town
I had a great long-term stay here. Brenda and Paul were excellent hosts and ensured I had everything that I needed during my stay. I had plenty of space for everything I needed and had easy access to everything and town. I'll definitely come back here on my next visit!

Thank you for the great review! We were so glad we could host you during your time in Bisbee! Would love to have you back anytime.
we were really disappointed with this location. The pictures sure didn't match the property and there was NO WARNING about the narrow and steep stairs up to the bedrooms. so difficult to take suitcase up to the room and had to be super careful using downstairs restroom in the middle of the night. This property needs a major clean up (carpets) and update. Will not return.
Paul and Brenda‘s house was quaint and very representative of the history of Bisbee. There was everything you need for a stay. We brought our own food and there’s also a grocery store nearby. We ate out twice and the dogs enjoyed the small courtyard and porch. Paul and Brenda were wonderful to work with and communicated promptly. Thank you for sharing your home with my family. We will return to Bisbee!
We really enjoyed our stay. The only issue we had was the difficulty of parking our truck. (Not a problem with a small to mid size vehicle. Bisbee roads in general are a bit sketchy.) We loved the view from the patio (especially at sunrise). Everything was within walking distance (as long as you don't mind going up and down hills which is par for the course for Bisbee) so it is a great location. Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with a disability/mobility issue but that is true for most places in Bisbee. I would definitely recommend this location to our friends.
Great Bisbee experience. Once we arrived we were able to walk everywhere, didn't use the car again until we left. The deck overlooking Bisbee had the perfect view day and night. Really loved our stay here. A couple things to note, the stairs are narrow (this is Bisbee!) and there is not a bathroom upstairs. Not a big deal for us, but it might be for some. Would definitely stay here again.
This was exactly what we wanted for our stay in Bisbee, and we would definitely stay here again. The view from the deck is fantastic, and there are stairs that lead right down to the main street. That said, it's only fair to note that families who don't like funky won't like this place as much. The stairs are very steep, the carpet is old, and the toilet is tiny. If you read that last sentence and shrugged and thought, "Yeah, but look at the view from the deck and the price," then this is the place for you. The hosts are wonderful and the location can't be beat. But don't stay here if you expect brand-new, or cookie-cutter.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
This house was … okay. It wasn’t all bad but I wouldn't stay here again and it wasn’t worth the price. Good: 1. The location is great. 2. Incredible view. 3. Basically functional. 4. Hosts were very nice and responsive. 5. Convenient parking. 6. Air conditioners worked Not so good:1. Not clean. It appears clean enough when you get there but if you look in the corners, up against the baseboards, under the furniture, etc., it wasn’t clean at all. Also had to pull a clump of hair out of the drain to take a bath/shower. 2. The queen bed was super comfy but the twin beds in the other room were hard and thin. 3. This house is generally run down. Paint chipping everywhere, limited electrical outlets, outlets kept blowing when we were only running one appliance, finish is mostly gone on the wood floor, cheap furniture, broken blinds, bathroom door got stuck if you closed it, grout missing, linoleum ripped. 4. When we first got there, the water came out brown but there was a dispenser in the kitchen with an empty 5 gallon bottle. When we asked hosts how to get more water they said there was a Brita pitcher in the fridge. I think this is a little unreasonable when the tap water was brown at first.5. The creamers they supplied were sour and ruined the first cups of coffee. 6. The bedrooms and bathroom were on different floors with a steep, awkward staircase. A little dangerous at night. It wasn’t bad enough to move for the weekend, but I won’t stay there again.
Great view and for the price you can't beat this place.

About the host
Hosted by Brenda and Paul Murphy
We are a growing family living in the Seattle area. We love VRBO and have had great experiences! We enjoy traveling and think vacation rentals are a great alternative to hotels. Our style of travel ranges from camping to vacation rentals to finding fun boutique hotels to spoil ourselves every now and again. We enjoy hiking and checking out local eats. Paul and Brenda have travelled separately and together. We each spent a year studying abroad in college (Seville, Spain and Florence, Italy). Paul has lived in all four corners of the US, as well as, a few years in Mexico City, MX, while Brenda has spent the majority of her life in the wonderful Pacific Northwest.
As far as hosts, we are pretty hands off (since we live in Seattle!) but are happy to answer any questions and give suggestions for things to do in and around Bisbee. Paul's mom, Cathy, is a local artist and is a wealth of knowledge. She has lived mainly in Bisbee for the past 40 years. Her work and contact info can be found at
Paul and Brenda have traveled both separately and together and plan to instill a love of travel in their children over the years. Paul went to Washington State University, studied abroad in Seville, Spain, and received a degree in Communications. He now works as a Marketing Director in Family Entertainment. Brenda attended Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, studied abroad in Florence, Italy, and obtained a degree in Special Education. She taught for 8 years and currently manages their vacation rentals and spends the days with their spunky daughter (who will be a big sister in February 2016)!
Why they chose this property
Paul spent many summers running amok in the town of Bisbee. With his mother still residing there, Bisbee is a wonderful place for them to escape the bigger city. Bisbee is such a charming and fun place with the option to explore and adventure or just sit back and relax.
