Casa Roseira is set outside the village of Quelfes, near Olhao, 15 mins from Faro, nestling in the beautiful Algarvian countryside, with lovely views all round. Our villa is a large, fully air conditioned, 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom dwelling with a garage, in its own private, mature and well maintained garden, backed by a vineyard. It has a large lounge with a wood burning stove and gas central heating, plus air-con for heating . The fully fitted kitchen has a microwave, oven, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker, juicer and washing machine, a mahogany table that seats 8. It sleeps 7 with 2 double rooms, and a triple bedded room, there is also a 49"satellite TV,DVD and CD player. A circular turret staircase leads up to the master bedroom, ensuite, and fully private sun terrace, the private heated illuminated pool is 8.2m x 3.5m with sunbathing terrace. Built in BBQ. All towels/bed linen are provided. Bring your own beach towels. WiFi internet. We normally rent from Saturday to Saturday

Superb villa

Very spacious traditionally furnished villa, well equipped in urbanisation near Olhao, Large private pool. Easy reach of quiet beaches and little villages in the hills around this part of the Algarve. You certainly need a car but some delightful parts to explore, though with some very hot days glad to loll on sun beds under parasols by the pool or on the shaded terrace. Loule and Tavira great places for a wander and coffee/beer and plenty of cafes/restaurants if wanted. We had a lovely relaxed holiday.

Family holiday

I would like to start by saying if you want to go to Portugal then this is the best place to stay.Noel was the perfect property owner he did everything he said he would.The house was fantastic the pool was brilliant it was clean and well maintained.Only disappointment was we had to go home I would recommend it to all thank you Noel hope to stay again soon Phil

We had a very nice stay in Noel's villa. Noel is very communicative. We really appreciated that. The villa is very spacious and equipped with all conveniences. It might even be considered overcomplete. We slept wonderfully on the comfortable beds in the air-conditioned bedrooms. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could wish for. The outdoor area has a barbecue, plenty of seating, and the pool is amazing. The villa is traditionally furnished, but we spent most of our time outside. Faro (airport) is very close, as are many charming towns and the beach at Ria Formosa. ...

Fantastic house and area

Fantastic property, and location, with everything you could possibly need. Great to have a welcome pack of bread, milk, fruit and wine too. Thanks Noel, this was really appreciated. We had problems with our flights and on the day we arrived, it was a really early start from the UK, so we were really very grateful to be allowed to arrive early to the house. Olhão is so worth a visit, and the ferry to Culatra was a highlight, to see the real Portugal. Definitely recommend this beautiful villa.

Fantastic villa

Absolutely beautiful villa with the most amazing pool. We enjoyed the villa and pool so much had days we just wanted to stay in by pool and relax . Villa only downside is it isn't within walking distance to many restaurants but tavis are cheap. So peaceful we had a coockoo visit the tree in orchard at end of garden every evening wonderful sight. Fabulous BBQ . Beds comfortable and showers all great, kitchen so well stocked with herbs oils and welcome pack was a blessing as we arrived so late we knew breakfast was sorted with the bread cheese and ham and a cuppa. Noel is a fabulous host and si helpful. Would definitely recommend to friends and .family and hopefully return.

Spectacular Stay

Thanks so much Noel for allowing us to spend our time in Casa Roseira while in the Algarve! We appreciated the delicious welcome basket! We thoroughly enjoyed both inside and the outside of this property. The pool was warm right up until sunset. The house was equipped with everything and more as our home away from home. Beds were so comfy and Air conditioning was a blessing. Less than a ten minute drive away from Olhãow Marina and highway was easily accessed from the quiet street. We had Fresh buns early in the morning from the Mini Mercado Bety daily, two minutes drive away (or a ten minute walk). Noel and Flavio were readily available and incredibly attentive to any questions we had. We would love to return here in the future!

Beautiful Villa

One of the lovliest villas we have stayed in, we had a great time. All the rooms are very spacious and comfortable with all the amenities we could ask for. The welcome pack on arrival was a lovely touch, much appreciated. The aircon was a blessing during the hot nights and the private swimming pool was just the best to cool off! My 9 year old son just loved it. You definetely need a car to get around the area, so we hired a car and explored nearby towns. Olhao waterfront however was only a 5 min drive. This area had plenty of cafes and restsurants to choose from and at the weekends the place came alive at night with market stalls and activities. Very easy to get a taxi boat or ferry to one of the islands on the Rio Formosa. The new marina area was lovely, we enjoyed spending time there with my son as there was fun activities for kids. We would definetely recommend this beautiful villa.

Phillippe, Thanks for the review. Its good to get reviews, as it helps us improve our service, even though I disagree with a number of your comments, as stated below. The Bathroom in question has just been refurbished with all new pipework, including underground pipework, and a brand new shower. It has a new toilet also, and the bathroom has been retiled. It was very hot during your stay, and sometimes the public drain system can begin to smell, but there is plenty of Bleach supplied, and also air freshener, in all the bathrooms. The bathrooms were also cleaned during your stay and bleach was put into all the toilets. There are numerous sun loungers supplied , and also sun lounger cushions, umbrellas, as well as numerous bases so that all sun loungers can be in shade as required. You should have contacted the Managers about these issues, when they changed the linen , during your stay as you did not contact me. Regards Noel Cummins

Heerlijk luie vakantie gehad in de villa. De verwarming van het zwembad deed het (te) goed. Op de 2e dag maten wij zelfs 35 graden Celcius. De contact persoon en Noel waren telefonisch niet te bereiken en belden ook niet terug. We hebben het zelf maar opgelost. Dit was het enigste min puntje, samen met het alarm welk we niet meer ingeschakeld kregen. De uitrusting van het huis was niet hyper modern maar ruim voldoende.Bedankt Noel dat we van je huis gebruik mochten maken.

Prachtig huis

Zeer mooi en sfeervol huis voorzien van alle gemakken. Nadat we gemeld hadden dat de douchekop kapot was werd deze dezelfde dag nog vervangen terwijl we hadden gezegd dat er geen haast bij was. De weg er naartoe is een beetje vergane glorie maar de straat zelf is verrassend mooi. De woning is centraal gelegen. Auto wel nodig. Enige minpunt in de nacht en vroege ochtend blaffende honden.

Schöner Urlaub in einem schönen Anwesen.

Großzügiges Anwesen mit einem gepflegten Garten und sauberen Pool, die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Auch an den anderen Räumlichkeiten gab es nichts auszusetzen. Das Grundstück liegt in einer Sackgasse in einer sehr ruhigen ländlichen Gegend. Das einzig Störende war das häufige Gebell von Hunden aus der Nachbarschaft.

Traumhafte Villa, tolle Lage, viel Platz

Was will man mehr! Ganz tolle geräumige, gepflegte und ausgestattete Villa. Wir hatten eine traumhafte Zeit dort als Familie mit den Grosseltern. Genug Platz um gemeinsam zu sein aber auch sich zurück zu ziehen. Toller grosser Pool. Eine hervorragend ausgestattete Küche und Grillstation. Tolle Lage - nur 5min Autofahrt nach Olhao, 12min nach Fuseta und 17min nach Tavira. Ruhig ausser die Hunde der Nachbarschaft die aber nicht grossartig gestört haben. Tolle, hilfbereite und sympatische Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter. Wir kommen wieder und können die Villa einfach nur empfehlen

Absolutely fantastic villa. Highly recommend!

This villa was amazing, in fact we don't think the photos do it justice! Noel was very quick to respond before and during the stay and we couldn't have asked for it to be cleaner or better equipped (including a wonderful welcome pack). We were a group of 4 adults and a baby and there was so much space. Brilliant location for the airport and Olhao is beautiful. The pool was simply wonderful and we swam every day. Thank you very much for having us, we would recommend to anyone.

We are a couple in our mid fifties with three children. The youngest is in her last years in school but still loves coming to Portugal, even with us! We have owned the villa since 2002 and still get really excited every time we visit, fairly soon we will be able to take breaks out of school holidays so will take every chance we get.
We have tried to really think about peoples needs and feel that we have a home from home to offer, not a sterile villa. There are loads of books, games and DVDs to make your stay more enjoyable in the evenings,

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Portugal and particularly the unspoilt Eastern Algarve on our first visit 14 years ago. So when we decided to look for a holiday home it was our first choice. and we have never regretted it. The Eastern Algarve is very typical Algarvian with a lot less tourists and more everyday life around us, the area is really lovely with the huge nature reserve of the Ria Formosa on our doorstep. If you like shopping there are very good complexes in Faro (15 mins), Olhao (5 mins)and Tavira (25 mins), Spain is just 40 minutes away with the bridge if you want to drive, or the ferry from Villa Real de San Antonio to Ayamonte which is a really lovely town. The beaches are fantastic and less populated than in the west, there is also a nudist beach at Mantarota, about 30 mins away.

What makes this property unique

Our villa is interesting with lovely teak arched doors and windows and a beautiful turret leading up to a sun drenched roof terrace that is not overlooked. It is extremely easy to find with very simple directions.
We have two bikes and helmets for your use and loads of books, DVD's and board games for the evenings. We have tried to make your stay as enjoyable as possible and have provided a home from home with a very comfortable feel, not a sterile apartment.
