Location
Crested Butte is Colorado's last true ski town. The downtown area has a historic appeal with its many restaurants, retail shops and bars. However, most people come here for world class skiing both on Mount Crested Butte, the local ski resort, as well as other backcountry areas serviced by hiking, snowmobiling, and cats.
While well-known for the level snowfall it receives, Crested Butte's warmer months also offer up an endless array of activities —mountain biking, hiking, climbing, volleyball, basketball & tennis courts, rafting, camping and fishing— to name a few. The crisp and fresh mountain climate makes Crested Butte a year round paradise sought out by vacationers, sportsmen and sightseers of all types.
The town has excellent free public transportation, offering all day service between and within the towns of Crested Butte and Mount Crested Butte and also regular stops in Gunnison and the South Crested Butte area.

Ask a questionAbout Kent Russell
I'm a native of Houston, and moved to Colorado in 2000 almost entirely to escape the Texas heat. What started out as a vacation turned into an extended stay that led to my announcement that would stay in Colorado for good. I visited Crested Butte for the first time a few years after my relocating from Texas. Like many, I came to this little mountain town for its winter skiing and eventually discovered the paradise it becomes during summer months, when the blanket of snow melts away and wildflowers dot the rugged terrain. Crested Butte is truly the best of both summer and winter seasons. I used to be exclusively a winter person and a total recluse in the summer, hiding away from the heat of the sun until I chanced upon the amazing climate and all the activities that Crested Butte has to offer during the warmer months. I still love the snow, but few things make me happier than the time I spend hiking, biking, camping, rock hunting and playing volleyball out in the sunshine and fresh mountain air. I currently live in Denver, where I work as a real estate appraiser. I have always enjoyed the real estate business and being allowed to see such a broad and widely varied range of residential properties. I don’t think I’m being biased by saying that I have never seen another property quite like 619 Gothic Avenue. In fact, after renting another unit in the building one year, I felt that the place was so unique and special that when #3 went on the market, I purchased it for my very own. I have worked hard to make this place comfortable, relaxing and full of good energy. The time I have spent has always been happy, restful and rejuvenating. It is my pleasure to share this this part of Crested Butte that I discovered for myself as a first time visitor. I look forward to having you as a valued guest here at Gothic Avenue during your visit.

Why Kent Russell chose Crested Butte
I chose this property by luck, I suppose. A friend bought a unit in the building and soon decided he wanted to work overseas. He offered me a deal I couldn't refuse on renting his unit. After renting for about a year I knew I wanted to buy a property in Crested Butte for my own. When I began to compare all the available places for sale, I realized that none were as unique as 619 Gothic Avenue, with its high atrium ceiling, live plants and prime location. There's a relaxed and positive energy here that always seems to greet me whenever I come to Crested Butte.
What makes this condo unique
This property is located in town, which means that it's central location allows guests to walk to shops, restaurants, and bars in less than 10 minutes in one direction and to the base of the mountains by way of a paved path in the opposite direction. Crested Butte also has a fantastic free public transportation system that will get you anywhere to want to go, including the ski area, quickly and efficiently. Once you're here, everything is accessible without having to drive.
