The Teras at the Emir Apartments, Immaculate Luxury Pool Level Apartment.

The Teras Apartment is on the exclusive, small, Emir Development which has wonderful views of the bay of Kalkan. The ‘old town’ is a five minute walk away. This air conditioned luxury two bedroom apartment is located on one floor at pool level in a prime location. It has the largest furnished covered veranda (20 sq.m.) in the complex which keeps the interior of the apartment cool. The private terrace is accessed through French doors from the lounge and a door from the master bedroom. There are two shared swimming pools, a children's pool, spacious sunbathing terraces with loungers and umbrellas. The Teras apartment is decorated and furnished to a very high standard featuring stone walls, antique marble floors and large windows. It includes all the facilities you would expect to find in high quality accommodation, such as black granite topped tables and worktops, water cooler, 32" LCD TV with internet giving access to a large numbers of programmes and a DVD player, cable internet, high quality kitchen equipment and a safe. There is an English speaking manager who lives on site along with other staff and she will assist guests with any problems, booking taxis, arranging for a take away delivery, etc. The rental permit number is 07-267

A well located apartment with stunning views. Easy to stroll into town and with a lovely pool. Had everything we needed for a 5 night stay and very good value. The owner Avril and the housekeeper on site were helpful. Would definitely return!

Our first but not last trip to Kalkan at the Teras

The Teras is a truly stunning apartment with direct access to the pool (great for kids) and spectacular views over Kalkan! The apartment is beautifully furnished and caters for all of your needs; the host provides some very thoughtful finishing touches which make your stay extra special- thank you. The Teras apartment is the nicest place we have stayed in to date. The information prior to arrival was very detailed and extremely useful. We were greeted by the on site managers and the apartment was well maintained throughout our stay. We have had a fantastic holiday made even better by the fabulous accommodation! I would rebook in a heartbeat!

We really loved our stay at this unit. We had all the conveniences that we would have at home from everything you would need in the kitchen, laundry, drying racks, you name it, it was there. The beds were very comfortable, air conditioning worked well. What we loved the most was the patio onto the pool. It was so convenient to sit at the table in the shade and then take a dip in the pool which was always a perfect temperature. The views were outstanding. I really could not capture the beauty no matter how many pictures I took. My husband said he could retire here. If we come back to Kalkan we will definitely stay at this unit again.

Perfect Location

We have just spent a lovely week in this fantastic property which really is located perfectly for a short 10 min stroll into town. As Kalkan veterans we always go back to this magical town, but always to different apartments, villas or hotels. This is by far the nicest apartment we have stayed in. It was spotlessly clean - and we’re fussy! The complex grounds are impeccably maintained by a friendly team and the pool has lovely wooden loungers. All the lounger covers are immaculate and the sun brollies are crisp and white; it just all adds to the feel of the place. The town was much quieter than when we visited in August and quite a few of the restaurants had closed for the season. Disappointedly, for those of you who know Kalkan well, Just Silver - the enchanting jewellery shop- was also closed. We still managed to find plenty of places to browse though, and, of course, the food was still of its usual exceptionally high standard in all of the restaurants that we visited. We were blessed with beautiful weather averaging 25/26 degrees each day - great for enjoying the local beach clubs or relaxing around the pool. The sea was definitely warmer than the pool at this time of year. As for Avril, the owner, her detailed communication was faultless and she has equipped the apartment with everything you could possibly think of. Don’t hesitate to book this apartment,..we would go back in a heartbeat.

Excellent location

We stayed at the Maribo apartment which Avril manages the bookings for as she was staying in the Teras herself. Avril was extremely efficient in organising our stay and the Emir apartments are lovely - a small, extremely well maintained complex, plenty of space to sit or lounge near each apartment or on one of the sun terraces. A brilliant location - so close to town yet still high enough to make the most of Kalkan's wonderful views. The apartments are extremely well maintained and it is reassuring to have resident staff should you need them.

We're John & Avril Mills and we own the Teras Apartment at the Emir (property number TK411, 8014540), live in England and enjoy travelling to our second home in Kalkan three times a year. Avril is retired and John is a retired photographer. We love the hospitable Turkish people, the beautiful scenery, great food and the relaxed way of life. We have six grown up children and 6 grandchildren .
The Maribo Apartment at the Emir (property number TK4541, 8157484) is owned by our very good friends Marit and Derek who live in Norway and visit their second home in Kalkan regularly. Marit is a school teacher and Derek is retired from the oil industry. They have children and grandchildren.
As she is UK based Avril manages the bookings for both apartments.

Why they chose this property

Being well travelled both couples rarely returned to a place twice. Avril and John visited Kalkan, loved it and bought the Teras Apartment on their third visit.
Marit and Derek visited the Emir for many years and in 2012 bought the Maribo Apartment.
We were all won over by the views, the beautiful old town and the warm Turkish people.
The final deciding point was the amazing range of places to eat in Kalkan, serving everything from Turkish country to sophisticated international food, many had breathtaking views. We knew that no matter how often we visited eating out would always be a joy.
Kalkan rises up the hills behind the bay so location is very important. We chose the beautiful Emir development as it was high enough to have great views but only a short 5 minute walk to the old town. It has a very high number of repeat guests.

What makes this property unique

John & Avril chose the Teras apartment because it has beautiful views and is located on the terrace of the larger pool. It has the largest covered veranda on the development and is all on one level and this makes holidays very relaxed. It is immaculately furnished.
Marit and Derek chose the Maribo because it has a private terrace with great views and is also all on one level just a few steps up from the main pool.
We also chose the apartments because they are in a quiet location and are serviced by an English speaking manager who lives on site, along with other staff, who will resolve any problems we or guests have.
Within 150 yards of the apartment there are five banks, three supermarkets, a patisserie and a greengrocers. The nearest restaurants and bars are also also about 150/200 yards away.
