3 Bed Villa with Private Pool, West Coast Barbados
Nanpa is a three bedroom villa, finished to a very high standard with large open plan ground floor leading onto a spacious private covered patio area with its own private pool.
With regards the current Covid quarantine restrictions we are pleased to inform you that CCTV monitoring has been installed which allows guests to self isolate in Nanpa whilst awaiting results of second on-island test. Makes life a lot easier and more comfortable.... which is the whole purpose of going on holiday !! At time of this update in Jan 2022 there are no quarantine requirements but should they be re-introduced the house is fully government approved.
We must be doing something right with Nanpa because have guests returning year after year, some now on their 6th visit!
Interestingly we don’t have too many “reviews” because return guests deal directly with us and so do not have opportunity to leave review.
Karen & I invest a lot of time and effort into keeping the house in the best condition possible, we are constantly upgrading the house to make sure guests have a wonderful stress free holiday. In August 2020 we spent four weeks at the house giving it a total refurbishment, the house truly is now better than when it was first built.
The rear garden patio area provides a tranquil setting for breakfast or dinner, I suspect you will spend many enjoyable hours sat around the table overlooking the pool and tropical plants.
Nanpa is part of a complex of just 28 houses located on the beautiful West Coast of Barbados, (just 1km north of Holetown). This area is known the 'Platinum Coast' which is well justified. The beach is a short walk from Porters Gate.
For those who wish to relax at Nanpa then you have the choice of your own private pool. Compared to the other houses at Porters gate Nanpa has a longer garden plot which allows for a bigger pool area.
There is also a communal pool and tennis court for use of guests.
Nanpa has been built to a very high standard, fully equipped Italian kitchen with granite work surfaces. New smart TV installed in Nov 2021… Netflix etc all available.
Free WiFi ( fast!) which is pretty much essential these days and the wifi in my house in Barbados is far better than I get at home.
You may have heard about the “room tax” that the Barbados government have recently introduced, they refer to it as Shared Economy Levy tax. The government now insist on a 10% tax on accommodating costs, for your peace of mind this IS included in your rental cost.
The house has recently been fitted with CCTV monitoring so that guests can self isolate at Nanpa. The cost for this is just $50usd per day.
Please note I don’t have that many reviews. This is because I have been renting out Nanpa since 2010 and a huge number of my guests are returning guests. This means that they are not allowed to leave reviews because the return guests book directly with me and not through any of the booking websites.
Once you have booked I will be able to send you lots of reviews from previous guests. Thank you.

We had an amazing holiday - the villa was perfect for our needs - close to communal facilities and the beach. It was comfortable and clean - just what you want … a home free m home. Thanks Paul and Karen for having us stay in your home in the sunshine.

Hi Paul. Thank you for looking after our house and being great guests. Welcome back at any time. All the best Paul &Karen.
We had a wonderful stay at Nanpa, the gated location is great and the property itself was perfectly clean with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay away from home. Would absolutely love to stay at this property again.

Lovely house and outdoor space. Has a great home from home appeal. Beach is 5 minute walk away. Handy for bus stops, plentiful taxis or rent a car. Great location for exploring the rest of the island.
Great stay. Property Manager and Housekeeper were very professional and on top of thinks. House a bit tired but clean.
Highly recommended owners ger a dishwasher as guests don't want to deall with daily mess and health issues re covid.

Hi Judy, Many thanks for taking the the time to give us some feedback, most helpful. We are staying at the house for a month and I can assure you all points have been noted and acted upon. New dishwasher installed and thorough freshen up of the entire property.
We had to isolate for 3 days waiting for negative COVID test results so it was a great bonus having a pool to dip in and out of and nice relaxing furniture on the terrace to enjoy the gorgeous weather. Location was excellent, short walk to the beach, however you could jump on one of the many frequent busses that passed by at the bottom of the road for $3.50 bd in either direction to Holetown 2 km away or the beach 1km away. All rooms had ceiling fans which were sufficient so didn’t have to use the A/C much at all and the owners were very accommodating to our requests to stay on for extra days. The also provided us with so much information before our arrival that we really didn’t have to ask for anything. The manager, Marcia was extremely helpful with all requests for shopping whilst we were in isolation and attended to our every need. Hopefully we can return soon and wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else.

Hi Claire. Very pleased you enjoyed Nanpa so much, you are most welcome back at anytime in the future. Let’s just hope things get back to normal as soon as possible. All the best. Paul & Karen
Me and my family loved our 2 week stay at Nanpa and wish we could have stayed longer.Nanpa is on a gated complex in a great location, just five minutes drive or 20 minutes walk from the shops and resteraunts in Holetown and 10 to 15 minutes walk from the beach. The house is well equipped to help you enjoy your stay. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need for cooking and eating and the owners have left tennis racquets and ping pong bats and balls for guests to use.The patio was great for swimming and sunbathing during the day and sitting under the stars at night. All the bedrooms and en suite bathrooms are a good size and the high ceilings make them feel more spacious. There are plenty of wardrobes and lots of hangers so you don't have to bring your own. All bedrooms have their own balcony.
I would definitely like to return to Nanpa and recommend it to anyone looking for a villa in Barbados.
Stayed here with my family (2 adults and 2 kids, 11 and 10) you really can’t fault the villa it’s a great size and really well equipped - like a home from home.
We love the porters location and there is a bus stop at the end of the road and a small shop and amazing bakery close by. Hometown is walkable if not too hot, otherwise a short cab or the more fun Reggae bus! Paul was fantastic with communicating as was Marcia. Thoroughly recommend it!
The house is very comfortable, cosy sitting areas with nice out door dining area. The kitchen is dated (as are pots and pans) but very functional. Good laundry facility. The unit was a bit far from the beach and stores for us. Walking was 15 min to beach, 25 to groceries. Along a busy main road that didn’t always have sidewalks (for strollers for kids). The gated community though was very lovely and clean. Nice large communal pool. We rented a car for two separate days(they deliver and pick up) for touring around. We visited as the Covid virus hit the world and only stayed two of our three weeks.

Fantastic
We had a fantastic holiday, the villa has everything you could need for a relaxing holiday. Paul was so helpful, giving us lots of advice before we travelled. This is a fantastic base to explore Barbados from. The bus stop is a 5 minutes walk, there are 2 rum shacks at the bottom of the road, give them a go, great fun and so cheap. The beach is a 15 minutes stroll, it takes your breath away, we hired sun beds from Freddie, he was brilliant. Everyone is so welcoming and can't do enough for you. We can't wait to go back!! Go find your Barbados.

Excellent Villa in a Great Location
We travelled out to Barbados on 10/1/15 and stayed at Nanpa for 2 weeks. We are now classified as almost 'Bajan' as we have travelled to Barbados on 6 previous occasions. We love it and have travelled and stayed all around the island. North, South, East and now West - The platinum coast.
Staying at Nanpa was simply superb! I say this for a number of reasons but probably number 1 was the location. Nanpa is tucked away off the main coastal road and is therefore very quiet. Quiet and yet only walking distance from beautiful beaches and Hometown which offers a variety of shops and restaurants. The platinum coast is probably the place to be on Barbados. We love it all but if you're only considering the one visit then we'd recommend the Platinum coast for all your holiday requirements.
Number 2 reason is Nanpa itself. It has a large open plan living area and beautiful al fresco dining area beside an adequately sized pool. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. Think home from home and you'll start to get the picture. Upstairs you have 3 big bedrooms all with balconies and large wet rooms ensuite. I felt like a Roman Emperor showering in the larger of the 3 wet rooms. High ceilings, his and hers sinks, marble and stone all around.. really nice!
As we were a party of 3 (2 adults and 1 child) Nanpa was more than adequately sized for our needs. In fact the extra bedroom came in handy for me when i had one too many Banks Beers one evening!!!!
Nanpa is a terraced house in a gated community. Very quiet all around. Theres a tennis court and a larger swimming pool about 50 meters from Nanpa. We played tennis and were in the community pool quite a few times. We had the pool to ourselves on each occasion. Did I mention it's very quiet?
We hired a car the first week we were there and used it to travel around and purchase our groceries. The second week we done without and just stayed around Nanpa, Hometown and the beaches. Didn't miss the car at all.
So, to summarise. If you're thinking of a holiday in Barbados and don't want the fuss and expense of a hotel. We highly recommend Nanpa.
Happy Holidays
