Opulent Private Villa. Private Heated Pool, 5 minute drive to center

Starting May 1st 2025, the pool will now be heated and newly renovated! Detached opulent villa with a luxurious private swimming pool in a quiet residential area of St-Remy-de-Provence overlooked by Les Alpilles and within easy walking distance to the historic centre and the numerous cafes, bars, restaurants and art galleries. This recently constructed ‘Bastide’ is in traditional Provencal style and materials and is set in its own private garden. St Remy is well known for its links with Van Gogh and is the ideal base for exploring the surrounding countryside and villages of Les Alpilles. Local activities include swimming, tennis, walking, cycling, horse riding, golf, and mountain biking. Nearby attractions include the Camargue, the hill village of Les Baux de Provence and the historic towns of Avignon, Arles and Aix en Provence. Local wine, olive oil, cheese and vegetables are sold at the typical provencal market held every Wednesday. St Remy is a 20 minute drive from the TGV station at Avignon and less than an hour from Nimes and Marseilles airports.

Lovely Home in Lovely Provence

We love San Remy as the perfect home base for exploring beautiful Provence. And this home was an ideal spot to come home to each night. It is spacious and we found it spotlessly clean. Angeline was so gracious and helpful.. We recommend this home highly and would love to return!

Wonderful house

The house was everything we expected and more. The pool was the best we've had in a rented property. Sparkling clean when we arrived, cleaned on the middle Saturday. The owner's agent was friendly, helpful and efficient. We are hoping to return next year.

Es war toll!

Wir hatten eine wirklich wunderbare Zeit. Die Lage des Hauses ist perfekt. Der Garten und der Pool sind sehr gepflegt und wunderschön. Das Haus ist auch völlig in Ordnung, könnte jedoch an der ein oder anderen Stelle etwas sauberer sein. Da wir uns hauptsĂ€chlich draußen aufgehalten haben, hat es uns weniger gestört. Der Ort ist ganz zauberhaft und wir haben so toll gegessen. Ich weiß nicht, ob es GlĂŒck war, aber die meisten Restaurants haben uns einen leckeren Abend beschert. Und die Menschen waren sehr freundlich. Der Wochenmarkt ist auch top. Was ich noch erwĂ€hnen möchte, weil es wirklich extrem war: Es gab sehr viele fiese MĂŒcken. Wir wurden so zerstochen, dass wir manchmal nicht wussten, wohin wir flĂŒchten sollen. Da mĂŒsste man mal einen Kenner nach Tipps fragen. Die haben uns wirklich geĂ€rgert. Aber bestimmt kennt jemand ein gutes Abwehrmittel :) Insgesamt war es ein schöner Urlaub.

Great property

Very well located with a huge swimming pool. Villa tastefully fitted out, exceptionaly clean and well stocked with necessities - just need your own food & drink! Will definitely return.

Amazing pool

This rental was ideally situated for seeing many of the sights in Provence, located within an easy drive of Avignon, Arles, Nimes and the Camargue. Parking was easy, the house felt very secure, and the photos of the pool and yard do not do it justice. We loved driving to sights in the morning, coming back to the house for a refreshing swim, then taking the very easy walk into town for dinner.

Wonderful base for 16 days exploring Provence

We really enjoyef our stay! Great location in a secure complex about 15 - 25 min walk into town depending on walking speed. Beautiful big pool. Well equipped villa which has nearly everything you need. Reliable and fast internet. Friendly owner (Tormod) and check in by Angeline.

Ideale vakantie woning

Vooral het grote zwembad is prachtig. De ligging van het huis is ideaal, rustig en op loopafstand van Saint Remy de Provence. We hebben een heerlijke week gehad als gezin.

Atemberaubend schöner Garten und Pool!

Das Haus befindet sich in einem durch ein Tor gesichertes Quartier in etwa 25 Minuten Spazier-Entfernung vom Zentrum von Saint-RĂ©my-de-Provence (mit dem Auto wenige Minuten). Der Garten ist atemberaubend schön; vorne mit einer Sitzgruppe, die am Vormittag schön schattig liegt. Hinter dem Haus hat es eine grosse Terrasse mit magischem Ausblick auf den riesigen, darunter liegenden Pool, der eingebettet ist in einen Halbkreis von hohen, rot, rosa und weiss blĂŒhenden OleanderbĂŒschen. Gleich neben dem Haus hat es ein waldĂ€hnliches GrundstĂŒck mit majestĂ€tisch hohen Pinien und Zypressen sowie anderen BĂ€umen. Das ganze GrundstĂŒck ist eingezĂ€unt, was gut ist, wenn man einen Hund mitbringt. Man kann mit dem Hund auch wunderbare SpaziergĂ€nge dem Kanal entlang machen, der sich gleich am Ende des GrundstĂŒcks befindet. Das Haus liegt ruhig und allein der Blick auf Pool, Garten, Wald und dahinterliegende, typische Provence-HĂ€user nĂ€hrt die Seele! Es gab auch ein paar kleinere Unvollkommenheiten, wie sie bei einem Haus irgendwann auftreten, doch der sehr zuvorkommende EigentĂŒmer zeigte sich sehr willens, diese schnell zu beheben, weshalb wir gerne einmal wiederkommen wĂŒrden. Vielen Dank, dass Sie ein so schönes GrundstĂŒck an Fremde vermieten!

Cher pour les prestations obtenues

- Mauvaise adresse fournie - Envahis par les moustiques Ă  toute heure de la journĂ©e - Fond sonore de circulation permanent - Pas de clim - Interrupteurs des chambres ne fonctionnent pas - Odeurs d'Ă©gout dans les salles de douches - TrĂšs belle piscine mais non chauffĂ©e et Ă  19°C la 1Ăšre semaine de septembre -> inutilisable. De toute maniĂšre la piscine Ă©tait sale et on n'avait pas d'Ă©puisette pour retirer toutes les feuilles et les dĂ©pĂŽts - Aucun rangement possible des courses , pas de grille-pain, pas de barbecue, pas mĂȘme un rouleau de papier toilettes ! - Personne le jour du dĂ©part Bref, beaucoup trop cher pour les prestations obtenues.

If it’s the swimming you want then you won’t find better

We spent a great 10 days in St Remy. The town is lovely with plenty of places to visit and many great places to eat and drink. The property is lovely with everything you need with the centre piece being the 14m x 7m swimming pool. Great for small children and Adults. I would recommend a visit.

Wonderful week in this gem of a holiday villa

Beautiful villa, spotless and well equipped. Perfect home from home for a week. Fantastic, huge pool definitely got the thumbs up from us. St RĂ©my is a bustling town with ample amenities and plenty to see and do. It’s a pleasant 15 minutes walk in, though you may prefer to drive to pick up your morning croissants. Further afield, Arles, Avignon and NĂźmes are all within easy driving distance. The kids also enjoyed a day at Wave Island water park and Kayak Vert for some family-friendly activity another day. Lovely welcome by the house keeper though we didn’t realise we needed to call her - it’s not a self-entry arrangement (the code provided is just for the exterior gate) so make sure you ring the telephone number provided when you know what time you’ll be arriving. All in all, a wonderful stay, over too soon but lots of lovely memories made.

Highly recommended provence vacation

This was our second visit to this property and it did not disappoint. The Villa is in a great location, has a great pool and great accommodation all round. It is a perfect setting for a truly relaxing family holiday. Our friends who joined us for a long weekend last year thought so too as they booked it for themselves next year. We have stayed in numerous holiday villas in France and elsewhere and this is definitely the best.

Why they chose this property

We had spent several years renting a house in St RĂ©my for our summer holidays and had fallen in love with the area - the wonderfully scenic countryside, the scent of the lavender, pine and rosemary in summer, the medieval hill villages, the many local attractions and places of interest, the wine and the marvelous food and the incredible Alpilles. We loved the area so much that we decided to buy our own home and love to share this marvelous part of the world with our friends and family. Even if the house is less than a kilometer from the center of St RĂ©my it is in a very quiet and tranquil location; a world away from the hustle and bustle of city life and a wonderful place to unwind!

What makes this property unique

We have a wonderful huge swimming pool (14m x 7m) with saline filtration (no chlorine) which makes it very easy to spend a lot of time relaxing on the property and it is of course a perfect place to be for the children. We have recently made a 120sqm terrace with natural stones (travertine) and granite in the driveway and garage.There is a huge range of activities and attractions in the local area: the coast is about an hour away (boat trips to visit Les Calanques between Cassis and Marseille are wonderful), and horse riding, kayaking, cycling, hiking, golf and wine tasting are all local activities which we enjoy. In addition you can just walk from the house up to the marvellous Alpilles - or to the center of St RĂ©my.
