Hawaii's Hidden Hideaway is an AWARD-WINNING Bed and Breakfast. Recipient for two years in a row the MOST ROMANTIC HIDEAWAY AWARD, voted by its guests. Featured in the TRAVEL magazine and other international publications.

PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE BOOKING, to ensure we have availability in the unit that you want. We have a 3- night minimum stay and holidays 7-night minimum stay requirements, and we have holiday rates that apply. Prices listed are for a regular studio.

You have separate units. Your choice of EITHER the deluxe Suite or Studio. Both have a private entrance, private bathroom, kitchenette, dining area and outdoor lanai. We do NOT have a two-bedroom unit.

The suite has a queen bed and a single sleep sofa in the same room. It also has a large garden lanai and a private jacuzzi. There is a $45/nt upgrade charge for the suite. Free parking, WiFi, AC, and cable TV. No resort fees.

You can have a garden studio that has all the amenities of the other unit, but it does not have the outdoor spa. The studio can have a king, queen OR twin beds. It is best to check with us before booking to see which one is available.

If you book during the holidays, there is supplemental Studio $35/nt and Suite $50/nt. This will be billed separately.

Only a short walk to the world famous Lanikai and Kailua Beaches. Watch the sunrise, listen to the ocean on a quiet night, or walk on the beach as the moon rises between the islands. This distinctive spot is only 30-minutes from Waikiki, Honolulu or the airport. (depending on traffic). Five minutes from the town of Kailua are great restaurants, antique shops, and rentals for kayaks and windsurfing.

The kitchenette includes a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster, hot plate, all the dishes and pots and pans. You also have a clock radio, ceiling fan, and access to laundry facility, outdoor shower and much more. A welcome breakfast of tropical juices, cereals, pastries, yogurt, fruits, coffee, teas, and surprises is provided.

Charming, low-key room. It was a 10 minute walk to Lanikai Beach. Host provided breakfast goodies, fresh fruit as well as beach gear like chairs and mats. The off street carport was great because parking in Lanikai is challenging! The landscaping is gorgeous. We stayed in the Sunrise unit with two twin beds.

Great place for our family of three. Excellent location, near the end of Lanikai so not much traffic. The amenities offered were great. Beach chairs, floats, boogie boards and water shoes were available for our use. The breakfast offerings that were provided were a bonus! Note to anyone unfamiliar with electric hot water kettles- don’t run it and the microwave at the same time- we caused a fuse to blow. Janice was immediately available to correct the problem. Would 100 % recommend to family and friends, and will stay there again if we are in the area (and she’ll have us again! ;)

The room was comfortable although dated. The snacks and goodies left by our host were amazing. Parking was a challenge but due to the fact our rental agency messed up and gave us a huge SUV. The carport available for guests fits 2 cars comfortably. Walk to beach reasonably close and was beautiful. Host was friendly and responsive.

Hidden Hideaway's biggest asset is its location in the Lanikai neighborhood, next to the charming village of Kailua. Negatives: The rooms were like stepping into my grandma's 1980s basement. Musty, very old furniture, appliances, and decor. If you need a modern kitchenette or bathroom, this is not the place for you. The breakfast was a bunch of bagels/bread saran-wrapped on a plate, with a couple of yogurts and cheese sticks in the fridge. (We ended up grabbing breakfast in town.) Positives: The owner was friendly and responsive, and it was an easy walk down to the beautiful beach. There were plenty of beach towels and chairs. All told, I would probably not stay here again, or recommend it to others, based on how much updating it needs.

Great accommodations with a beautiful location just a short walk to the beach. Our host, Janice, was wonderful in every way. She gave us restaurant and sightseeing reservations and was great. We will stay here again on our next trip to Oahu.

Hidden Hideaway is exactly what you expect from its name. It’s truly tucked away on a narrow, residential road in beautiful Lanikai, just a few blocks from the most gorgeous beach in the world. We stayed a week and it was like imagining you lived there because it is part of the owner’s home so you just feel like you’re staying with family. Although you have complete privacy with lovely tree-lined views. The property is full of lush plants and trees and it is utterly silent at night, nothing but the sound of local Mina birds. The kitchen is more like a small hotel kitchenette with a mini fridge, microwave and coffeemaker. The fridge is stocked on your first day with local fruit, drinks and pastries. We hiked and walked to the beach every day. And Lanikai is actually pretty accessible to anywhere you want to go by just jumping on H3 or H2 to get to the North Shore or over to town. There is convenient parking on site and there are beach towels, umbrellas and chairs provided. I was very grateful for the AC which works beautifully. Really nice to come home to with Hawaii humidity. We stayed in both the studio and the larger suite with the hot tub and that was lovely! To sit out on the balcony for our morning coffee and sit in the hot tub at night was heaven. The style is cozy and homey, not chic modern hotel. It’s like a very elevated visit to your Lanikai aunty who thinks of everything. Be sure to check out the history of Lanikai book - fascinating! We had a perfect stay here.

A/C did not dehumidify room very well. Instructions received by email were helpful.Beach access wasn't relevant since weather wasn't very good during our stay. Room could use shades on some of windows to block out light and provide privacy from landscape workers.
