About this property

SUPERB SECLUDED VILLA WITH STUNNING VIEWS AND HEATED SWIMMING POOL



This is our much loved villa which friends have described as our 'little piece of heaven' which we have restored and furnished in Provencal style for easy living.

The Villa is not overlooked and is very peaceful. It is ideal for one family, or two sharing, or just a couple who want the space and a good sized pool.

The two spacious main bedrooms each have Shower en-suites, with large double king sized beds each 160 x 200. The other spacious two bedrooms each have two full sized single beds.

The large swimming pool is 10m long x 4.5m wide. It is fully tiled and heated. We normally open the pool and put the heating on so it can be used from mid April to mid October but do check with us if out of season.

We have 8 loungers around the pool so there is one for everyone.

There are two large tables outside each with chairs for up to 8 people where you can eat. One overlooks a stunning view and the other is under a wisteria clad arbre which give plenty of shade so ideal for breakfast and lunch. The main terrace is well shaded as well including from two mulberry trees.

There are comfortable outside settees and chairs with cushions so you can relax during the day and enjoy aperitifs in the evening. We have a large Gas BBQ. There is a table tennis table where you can play under a covered abris.

St Antonin village is a 10 minute walk away and has a hairdresser, an outstanding Boulangerie, a restaurant with adjoining Bar, local vineyards where you can buy wine, tennis and basketball courts and an excellent shop for groceries and necessities.

Organic vegetables are grown in a field just down the lane a few minutes walk away and are sold in the St Antonin and Lorgues markets but also direct to the public on Saturday mornings.

This was our second visit to La Gaillardiere and it doesn't disappoint. Four bedrooms (two en-suite) lends itself to larger families or two-family holidays. Bedding and towels are changed on a weekly basis and even the wonderful pool is cleaned weekly. The owner is a terrific host and nothing is too much trouble. This property comes highly recommended by us.

Lovely holiday

Beautiful house with a lovely view and pool. Bedrooms were very comfortable and seating areas were perfect for all uses. Location was peaceful and relaxing while being close enough to a supermarket and outdoor market in Lorgues, as well as other beautiful little towns.

We had a fantastic week at this secluded and peaceful house with a lovely pool and perfect views. We were a family of 5 and the house was very spacious allowing each child to have their own bedroom. It was well equipped with everything you could possibly need and communication with the owners was absolutely brilliant. Lots of local markets to visit, the river a stones throw away with paddle board, kayak and bike hire, the local Boulangerie and shop very close, larger supermarkets also nearby.We had a very relaxing week, lounging by the pool, bbq-ing, visiting the local markets, having fun on the river, playing table tennis at the house and exploring the local area. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing house with a great view!

Our second visit in this spacious villa was as great as was the first! In the house you can feel the owners love for the house and all details fit. We felt very much at home. The pool was wonderful and warm, the view amazing. We would love to come back again.

Great!!

As it was our 3rd stay in this fantastic house, all I can do is repeat myself, super house, terraces and pool beautiful, perfect for a group of friends to spend a great time. Secluded but close to all amenities, I have no idea what I could criticise. We will come back!

Relaxing stay in a beautiful location

We had a wonderful stay with our three small children and my parents. The villa was well equipped and secluded with a lovely view over the valley. We enjoyed lunches on the shaded terrace, afternoons in the pool and visiting the local wineries and markets. Kevin was very helpful and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend it!

A delightful retreat

We had a very enjoyable week at this lovely villa. It is as perfect for two people as it must be for a large group. The spaces are flexible so it made a cosy retreat for just the two of us but with all the advantages of a larger house. The view is fantastic and the property secluded but not isolated. There is lots to see in the area, and some good walks. Kevin was very helpful and communicative and we would very happily visit again.

Fantastic Views

What a villa, 2 beautiful terraced areas to sit for breakfast lunch and evening meal with fantastic views looking out over the countryside. Marvellous pool. Inside the villa was everything you need for a great stay, even a separate fridge for the wine in the utility room. All the bedrooms and bathrooms are well fitted out with lovely comfortable beds. Location really good to see more of Provence. We'll definitely be coming back.

Amazing villa with great pool in stunning location

We spent a fantastic week in this wonderful, well equipped Villa. The location is perfect, beautifully remote yet within walking distance of the village shop, Boulangerie & restaurant. The outside space is excellent with a large pool and elevated views over the surrounding countryside. There are many lovely historic hilltop villages & attractions nearby such as the Gorge du Verdon to visit. A big thank you to Kevin who was a great host. I’m sure we will be back soon!

Wonderful time in a fantastic house!

A perfect route description made it easy to find the house. It is secluded and very quiet, but only a leisure 10 min walk from a boulangerie and a small supermarket. The very big pool really is well heated and was comfortably warm in late September. The house is spacious, comfortable and well equipped with everything you might need for BBQ or cooking. In total, a perfect place for holidays, with family or friends! We will come again!

3 weeks in Paradise

What a property in a beautiful area. Villa was equipped with everything needed and more. Various areas to sunbath or sit in shade and three different dining options. Super gas bbq and the pool......most of our hols spent in it or by it. Kevin & Jill are the most accomodating hosts, nothing is too much trouble and the booking process is top notch. Cannot recommend the whole experience highly enough.

Beautiful house in wonderful area

The house is really nice and well equipped. We enjoyed a lot the pool as the temperature of the water was perfect. The view is also one of the advantages of this house as well as the terrace. The table below the trees is always protecting you from the sun. Thanks to the gas barbecue we prepared all our meals outside. The communication with the owner was easy and friendly. And also the area is well situated between the sea and the Gorges du Verdon. So we really recommend this house.

I've just asked my daughter Katie what she thought of the holiday home and she says Amazing! She is exactly right! We had a lovely time. The villa was spotless and it is the best equipped place we have ever stayed. It really felt like our own home for the week. Kevin was most helpful and replied to any questions we had very quickly. Our girls loved the pool and were in it non stop! As for the views.... stunning. I would highly recommend a stay here - book quickly before it goes!

Home from home

Family of 4, stayed at this remarkable villa for one week in July. Before arrival, Kevin provided helpful and prompt responses to any questions we had. All 4 of us immediately fell in love with the villa, which felt like home away from home. The kitchen is particularly well equipped, everything so clean and tidy. Envious of their cd collection, quite the vibe! We had occasion to meet the housekeeper who was very friendly and helpful. The local village is a delight. We would unreservedly recommend the villa and would love to return.

Excellent house in a wonderful area of Provence

We had a great stay at La Gailladere. The house itself is very well equipped. The layout of the rooms suited us perfectly as one of the main bedrooms was set apart from the other three allowing us to keep our noisy baby away from the others. The pool is large, and the terraces are great. The view really sets this house apart from the rest, out into a tree and vine filled plain within a valley. The village is only ten minutes or so away and we would walk down every morning to get croissants and pain au chocolat from the excellent bakery. We also visited the neighbouring vineyard and the owner let our son ride on his tractor! It is about one hour to Lac St Croix which is great for swimming.

Fabulous villa and surrounding area

What a fabulous villa and area to explore, we very much enjoyed our week as a family. When we weren’t lazing by the beautiful large pool we were enjoying drinks on the terrace looking over a stunning view of Provence. We really enjoyed the table tennis in the evenings! We spent time exploring the area and it was a delight- hill top towns a plenty. Tourtour (amazing!) , Entrecasteaux, Sillan du cascade, Aups, Cotignac were all picturesque and not far from the villa. The gorge du Verdon is about an hour drive through countryside and it’s a must see! You can hire peddle boats to explore the gorge and swim in the lake! The little village is a pleasant walk away and has a great shop and Boulangerie which serves coffee on tables outside. We found the villa clean with everything we needed- the gas bbq was very good and we ate outside every night. The bedrooms are large and clean, there is no air con but fans are provided. The beds are comfy and bathrooms practical. All in all it was perfect and we would certainly visit again.

Amazing!!

We had an amazing time at La Gaillardiere! The view is spectacular and the house is very comfortable! Every thing at hand and still it was quiet and away from everything! We loved the real provencal yellow kitchen and the beds were great. Also it was very nice that there are 2 living rooms as my husband had to work sometimes. The pool is big (and safe for young children) it was nice to swim laps and play for the kids. We just got home and miss it already so much! Every morning we walked to the bakery which is only 10 min. The small supermarket next to it has everything you need and is open every day in high season. Also there are two nice pizza pick ups at the village. Lorgues is only 15 in by car (easy drive) for big grocery shopping. We hope to return soon as it was a real vacation and it really felt as home as well. Un vrai bonheur.

Nous nous sommes sentis à l'aise dès les premiers instants dans cette magnifique propriété. Très calme avec une très belle vue.La maison est exceptionnellement bien équipée. Nous n'avons manqué de rien.Les différentes terrasses autour de la maison assurent de pouvoir trouver le meilleur endroit à toute heure de la journée et la piscine est tout bonnement parfaite, propre et chauffée.Kevin est un hôte extrêmement disponible et amical. Le contact a été très facile de la réservation jusqu'à notre retour.Nous reviendrons c'est certain.

Super séjour

La maison est très bien tenue et entretenue. Kevin et Magali sont super réactifs en cas de question avant et pendant le séjour. Le guide d’arrivé est précis et bien complet La vue sur la vallée avec le couché de soleil tout en savourant un bon bbq est juste la cerise sur le gâteau Encore merci à tout les deux

Zweiter Teil

Nachdem wir letztes Jahr erstmalig in der Villa waren,haben wir das mit der Familie nochmals wiederholt. Ruhige Lage, großer Pool , gute und kurzfristiege Kontaktaufnahme mit dem Vermieter ,vor Ort Bäcker und kleiner Kaufladen. Wer den Trubel an der Küste meiden will ist hier Bestens aufgehoben.
