The penthouse has been stylishly designed and furnished to a very high standard with no expense spared. The property is fully air-conditioned, modern and has everything needed for a perfect self-catering holiday . Almerimar is one of Spain's best kept secrets, outstandingly beautiful and has a sub-tropical climate with an average of 320 days of sunshine a year. The Resort is built around the harbour that hosts many Sea-food restaurants, Chinese, Italian an good Spanish cuisine. Cafe Bars, Tapas Bars all situated in lovely surroundings overlooking the harbour. The resort is peaceful, relaxing and immaculately kept. Lovely apartment in a great location

Lovely spot for easy reach to all local amenities. Apartment had everything you could need. Local bars and restaurants were really good and some lovely places dependant on how far you wanted to drive. Supermarket just down the road. All in all a really nice chilled out break.

This a clean well equiped spacious penthouse apartment with all you need for a great holiday, lovely views from the balcony and roof terrace. It is in a perfect position for the supermarket, bars,marina and beach which are only minutes away. We want to be back there!!!

Our first time in this area of Spain, and thankfully this was spent in the excellent apartment for our visit in May. There were no issues with Karen during the booking, and Tracy at the location was very helpful and stressed to call her if there were any problems. which there wasn't. The property has fantastic views, is well equipped, and in a fantastic location for the bars and restaurants around the marinas, as well as the supermarket and beaches. We would certainly re-visit this apartment again. Many thanks Steve & Lynda

The apartment was in a good position for a summer holiday, near the beach and the harbour.

It was a lovely apartment but not suitable for a winter holiday. The apartment was on the 5th floor right on the corner so you got the wind from the sea and the mountains and as the apartment doors and windows were badly fitted it was like living in a gale. You could not watch English television as advertised because when watching English TV the picture continually froze so it was impossible to watch. As we were staying for a month during February and March it was the main reason for taking the apartment.

We have just booked our third visit to this apartment and this time will be staying for 4 weeks . The apartment is a home from home and has everything that you will need for a very comfortable stay. The views from the apartment are spectacular , ranging from mountains to marinas and the sea. The marinas have plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from , catering for all budgets .The local supermarket is two minutes from the apartment and has everything that you will need . The beaches are very clean and have plenty of spots that you can hire sunbeds from. The owners make the booking process really easy and are always at hand to deal with any extra queries or questions that you may have . My only recommendation would be to book early as quite rightly the apartment gets booked up very quickly . Would thoroughly recommend this apartment for a most enjoyable holiday .

Sehr schönes Appartement, sehr schöne Weitsicht in die Berge und mit Blick über Almerimar und zum Hafen. Sehr zentral gelegen, einkaufen um die Ecke und schnell im Hafen, wo sich sehr viele Restaurants und Tapas-Bars befinden. So konnten wir im Februar die Sonne genießen.

We had a great holiday at Karen's beautiful apartment which is right in the heart of Almerimar. It had everything you could wish for. The bed was super comfy (we both suffer with back ache, so this was very welcome). There was a problem with our shower which Angie, the lovely, friendly manager got sorted within half an hour! Great service!

Very nice apartment, everything we needed on our doorstep. Tourist info, supermarkets, cafés and restaurants, bike hire, bus stop, beach and harbours. Great views from both terraces, everything supplied. Pool was one of the best I have seen at an apartment and very quiet, we stayed here in mid September and the weather was perfect. Property managers close by if anything was needed and will also taxi you from and to the airport if needed. Some traffic noise from the roads below but wasn't too bad. If you are planning any day trips to Granada or elsewhere I recommend you book well in advance as they get full up early.

We stayed at the appartment for 5 days. Karen the owner was very accommodating when we asked for help with things as was the couple who look after the appartment. The appartment itself is lovely, very comfortable but very little kitchen space. The location can be a little noisy due to the traffic etc but to be honest we still managed to get a good nights sleep with the balcony door open. Good location for the supermarkets and restaurants.

Das Apartment selbst ist sehr schön und gepflegt, von der Tiefgarage mit dem Fahrstuhl prima zu erreichen. Ringsherum gibt es kleine Tapasbars (sehr preisgünstig) und Supermärkte, ein größerer ca 300 m entfernt, auch zum Strand sind es nur 200 m. WLAN funktioniert gut. Hnweis: Deutsche Fernsehsender gibt es nicht (zumindest haben wir sie nicht gefunden). Für alle, die gern am Strand sind, sehr empfehlenswert.

Lovely Apartment, Great Facilities and Location

We spent six weeks here over January and February and kept patting ourselves on the back for finding it. This is a lovely apartment, very tastefully furnished and comfortable. The bed is ultra-fabulous! Even the bed-settee (which a friend used when she visited) is better than average. Incredible views from the apartment, just as described on the website, you can't get enough of it all, especially from the sunny roof terrace (where we found the most comfortable sun loungers we've ever used). In fact all the outdoor furniture is top quality. Being winter the apartment was very cool in the evenings but there are efficient radiators which Karen was more than happy for us to use. The only downside for us was that the kitchen area only has a very small area for food preparation. Am sure this wouldn't be a problem for an average holidaymaker as people tend to eat out whilst on holiday but we were here for six weeks (who eats out every night for six weeks?) and I follow a special diet so spend a lot of time in the kitchen. However, there's a nice big dining table that we put to good use to help overcome the shortage of space. There's a lovely big fridge in the kitchen too! Lots of nice touches like videos, books, even converter plugs in case you forget your own. We had problems with the satellite TV whilst there but Karen is in the process of upgrading the system anyway so no problem in the future. It was really useful to have our own parking space in the underground car park, a real bonus! Almerimar is a good place for a base, we did a lot of touring whilst there including to Granada, Malaga, Gibraltar, the Alpujarras, Roquetas de Mar, San Jose and Mojacar, Nerja, Berja and Frigiliana. All lovely but Nerja was our favourite. Wasn't keen on nearby Almeria, just really busy, not much to see. The promenade at Almerimar is lovely and our evening dog walk gave us incredible sunsets most evenings. Great customer service from Karen, she couldn't have done more for us.

We had a very pleasant stay at this apartment.It was clean and spacious. It's in a perfect spot as its close to restaurants, the marina and beach.It also has lovely views from the balcony.The owner was very helpful regards directions, recommendations and the meet and greet arrangements. We had a very relaxing time and would definitely stay at this apartment again.

We both enjoy the luxury things in life, hence why we instantly fell in love with Almerimar the minute we first saw it back in 2005. We've met and made many friends who are such lovely people and it's always a pleasure to return to Almerimar and catch up with everyone.
Over the years we've seen the resort becoming more and more popular, particularly in the summer. The resort is a purpose-built haven for enjoying the most relaxing and comfortable break. We chose the PortoFino complex simply because it ticked all the boxes, beautifully built, luxurious and perfectly placed for everything Almerimar has on offer. The Port, beaches, golf course, bars and restaurants are literally on our doorstep.
