About this property
Traditional Villa Vicina with Private Pool in Milna, Brac Island
Our 19th-century Mediterranean stone villa with a pool on Brac Island sits in the middle of town and has everything for an authentic holiday in Croatia.
Villa Vicina is chosen as one of „the best houses to rent“ according toDailyMail- the perfect villa for a family holiday in Croatia, with your own private pool and play area.
With this authentic Croatian villa you can see, taste, hear and touch the real essence of Brac Island.Situated in the middle of the town Milna on Brac Island, this villa rental in Croatia is just 80 meters away from the sea. Villa Vicina is protected with traditional high stone walls and mature fruit trees and offers complete privacy to guests.
This stone villa is 200 years old, extensively renovated in recent years and tastefully decorated so you can enjoy your Croatia holidays to the fullest extent. It is set in over 600 sq meters of private land with beautifully maintained gardens that are home to olive, almond, bearberry, lemon and orange trees that provides welcoming shade during hot summer days and an authentic homegrown feeling.
Guests can also relax on the sun loungers around the swimming pool or enjoy a glass of juice in one of the dining terraces. You could even have a night swim with the pool floodlights – a magical experience for children that they wouldn’t forget.
Entering the property via the terrace, guests are immediately struck by the open space kitchen and dining area that lead into a very cozy living room, featuring traditional oak beamed ceilings. The charming interior has been beautifully decorated with a tasteful mix of antiques and contemporary features.
Upstairs, on the first floor, there are two bedrooms, the first with a queen sized bed and the second with two single beds, charmingly decorated in Dalmatian style. On the second floor is a spacious room with a king sized bed and one single bed, with a terrace that offers breath-taking views of the beautiful sea bay and marina.
This Villa Vicina gives you plenty of space to relax and enjoy your Croatia holiday. Local restaurants, supermarkets, cafes are only 3-minute walk from the villa. Milna in general offers top quality restaurants featuring freshly caught, authentic Brac seafood.
Milna is the perfect location to explore the various other Croatian islands that surround it including Hvar, Split or Dubrovnik. There are various day trip options available that allow you to explore these other areas at a reasonable price, often reached by speed boat or catamaran.
For sports enthusiasts, there is also biking, kayaking, hiking, trekking, rock climbing, sailing or just walking in nature. We recommend our local experiences such as olive picking, fishing, and wine tasting.
Upon check-in, a friendly host will provide you with a welcome pack which includes a bottle of water, juice, coffee, a couple of pieces of lemon in a bowl, a bottle of prosecco, and a bottle of homemade kumquat liqueur, and a bottle of extra virgin olive oil made by the owner.
* Note: Additional beds for 3 persons are available in Villa Vicina. In the sitting room is a double pull out sofa (for two persons), and in the twin room, one additional bed (folding bed) could be put for a child up to approx. 15 years of age.
Check out what our dear guest Wendy H.G.has to say for her experience with Villa Vicina and her holiday in Croatia:
„We absolutely lucked out with our villa. You can see the listing here and take my word for it that it is just as good, if not better, than the photos and reviews. It was right in the heart of the old town of Milna, beautifully appointed inside with original stonework and the outside space was just incredible – three levels comprising pool with outdoor shower and sunbathing area, outdoor cooking and dining area with sofas perfect for coffees and sundowners as well as more loungers and the upper level, a favorite with Hunter, with trampoline, table tennis, small play area and wicker seating. The house itself is also set over three levels with the top floor offering the most spectacular views of the bay and an outdoor, rooftop terrace.“

All the accommodation in our range must have that special something which best reflects the place it is in. We choose our accommodation with great care, because we want it to stand out in a crowd of alternatives.
Why they chose this property
All the accommodation in the Orvas Hotels range must have that special something which best reflects the place it is in. This traditional Dalmatian stone house was fully renovated and decorated in 2005 so that the original architectural features have been preserved. Brac Villa Vicina is a house which seems to enrich your spirit and exude calm. You will simply feel relaxed there.
The house can accommodate 7 to 9 people. It is right at the heart of things, close to restaurants, coffee bars and shops, yet has a private, walled garden which protects it from noise and curious passers-by. As you walk down the steps, stamped with the history of this place, you reach the waterfront, by the crystal clear sea.

What makes this property unique
Milna is dominated by the lovely Baroque Church of Our Lady of the Annunciation (1783), with a stone flight of steps and bell-tower typical of a small coastal village. Milna bases its existence today mostly on tourism, particularly nautical tourism. The area around Milna on Brac is perfect for hiking, cycling and rock climbing, as well as sailing or swimming. There are several beautiful sandy or pebble beaches nearby. There is also a sports complex with playing areas for five-a-side football, basketball, volleyball, bowls and table-tennis. Milna is a good place to set out from on all kinds of excursions to other places on Brac island or beyond.
