Orchid Isle Manor is a 5 acre private estate tucked away in the Kona Coffee country on the slopes of Hualalai volcano, overlooking the small coastal town of Kailua-Kona. On this property there are 4 cottages available rent +3 level 4 room Manorhouse. Each cottage is a one bedroom studio with a loft and one bathroom.

Also on the property there is a dance/yoga studio you may rent by hour or day between 9am & 5pm or attend classes (private/group).

Our family lives on the property above the dance studio. My husband is a fisherman/cement mason and I am a local artist and I also teach art & dance. If you enjoy dancing, I am happy to connect you with the fun places to go and the interesting people to meet in our local dance community (tango, zouk, salsa, bachata, bellydance, ballroom, etc.).

Lovely place near Kona

Lots of flowers,birds and peace and quiet. The hot tub is amazing and your host provides art lessons at a reasonable price for your own personal souvenir.

We throughly enjoyed our time at the Red Cottage at Orchid Isle! The hot tub was an excellent way to end our evenings and having all the wildlife as friendly neighbors was wonderful!! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your place for a short time!!

Fun location

Worked well for us. Loved the hottub and quiet peaceful location. So nice to have the space. The frogs at night were peaceful. Nice to have all the fans for the house.

Perfect for being away

Property was absolutely stunning. It was nice to be away from the hustle and crowds of downtown Kona. Just a short 15 min drive up the hill, it was like our own private paradise. The room was perfect for my husband and I, and our 2 teenage daughters. We all enjoyed playing with the cats on the property too:)

Weekend stay

The location was in a nice, quiet area of the island. Although there were others, we didn’t see anyone. There are some cats roaming around, but we are cat lovers. So it made us feel more at home.

Beautiful location, needing some maintenance &tlc

Beautiful location however our unit needed some general care (tv remote control volume and power button was broken, bedding sheets need to be replaced, shower curtain barely held up, patio roof leaking). We loved the garden areas, bbq access, fans, and friendly cats.

Peaceful Stay in a Cozy Place

I was amazed at the overall beauty of the location. It was private, quiet and scenic with a lot of wildlife. The hosts were very friendly and always easily accessible for questions. We were sorry to have missed the hosts(we were mostly out and about from day until night). The cottage was very cozy and the layout was creative. The beds were comfortable. Your cell service will be limited and unfortunately during our stay there was also some issues with the internet, but there was plenty of amenities(grill, hot tub, fire pit). It was gorgeous and would definitely recommend.

Cozy and Coffee

This cottage is nestled into a cloud forest in the Kona Coffee region, just a few minutes drive from downtown Kailua-Kona. The host's instructions were perfect to find the place (watch out for the speed bumps on the way!). The cottage was adorable, clean, fresh, and tucked in a peaceful location where we were serenaded by birds and frogs and even geckos every morning and night, and surrounded by flowers and fresh mountain breezes. Watch the spectacular sun sets over the sea from the tranquility of the cottage grounds, or drive a few minutes to a scenic overlook or directly to the coastline! The host was easy to get in touch with, and went above and beyond with including a starter sample pack of sunscreen and bug repellent, and gave us tips on art classes and local-area Latin and swing dancing events. The outdoor Jacuzzi with a waterfall was also amazing and refreshing after hiking or other day trips adventures. Highly recommend!!

Cool jungle hideaway

Unique cottage in the higher altitude coffee area of Kona. Had all amenities you need. Loft had a full size and a twin bed and the lower level had a queen and trundle underneath it. Hot tub was super cool, but we never used it. Other cottages are close, but there were no sound or privacy issues. There’s a grill, pots, pans, portable range, toaster, rice cooker and other amenities if u want to stay in. Most beaches around 20 mins drive. There were wild boars, turkeys, pheasants, frogs, and other fun animals around the cottage. Also, an ongoing story guests can creatively add to and see the progression on instagram. Establish a more direct contact to owners to get questions answered. No laundry. Extra towels might be needed. It’s 10 degrees F cooler in this area than at sea level, and slight rains come occasionally. Really fun place to stay with the family.

Kleines, interessant eingerichtetes Haus im Grünen - leider etwas schmuddelig, keine richtige Küch

Das Haus ist eines von drei kleinen Ferienhäusern im Grünen weit oberhalb von Kona ( und daher auch angenehm kühler). Leider reichlich Mücken und Ameisen, so dass es abends selten zum Draußen sitzen langt. Interessant und mit liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, gute Betten. Leider nur eine Minimalküche ohne Herd. Und alles etwas schmuddelig. Die Gastgebende Familie wohnt nebenan, allerdings war diese (obgleich ebenfalls drei Jungs im gleichen Alter) nicht an einem näheren Kontakt interessiert. Schade, gerade in USA haben wir hier häufig positive Kontakte geknüpft.

A really great find on the Big Island of Hawaii, tucked away but with great access to town & beaches

Our home away from home was more than we could have hoped for, it had everything we needed for a week long stay. A magical setting up in Kona coffee country. I recommend a quick stop at Costco to fuel up on essentials if you are staying for more than a few days. The photos don't due this property justice.... it's 100 percent more magical in person.
