Jasna and other alpine ski centres are just 20 minutes away by car in both directions, the cross country ski routes also doubling up as mountain bike routes in the summer. As the region is built on thermal springs, there is an abundance of spas and water parks, including Tatralandia - the Alton Towers of water adventures - a 30 minute drive away. Hotel Permon, 15 minutes drive, has a large and particularly luxurious spa and swimming pool. Only a few minutes walk are the quaint village of Pribylina and the Open Air Museum, both well worth a visit. The Orensnica restaurant, offering traditional Slovakian fayre is just over a mile away on one of the many trails through the pine forests leading up the mountains. The celebrated 13th century Castle Hradok is in the next village of Liptovsky Hradok and boasts an impressive international menu in sumptuous surroundings. Nearby Liptovsky Mikulas houses many restaurants, bars, shows and concerts on the town square.

Wonderful vacation

Beautiful house in charming landscape! Lots of space and comfort. We used the sauna almost every day and cooled off in the stream right next to the house. We enjoyed hiking in the woods and discovering the area very much. So sad vacation had to en sometime. Would love to come back.

Comfortable, well-equipped, and well-maintained house in a lovely, private setting. Superb natural light in the main living space. Owner (from the UK with local caretakers) is exceptionally attentive. Location couldn't be better for reaching the great range of outdoor activities and tourist sites across the High Tatras and North Central Slovakia.

Low key getaway

Our American family of four had a very nice stay in this pleasant, low key home. Plenty of space to spread out which made our teenagers happy. The kitchen has enough cookware, but plan to bring anything else; spices, oil, salt/pepper, etc... We enjoyed most meals outside on the deck. Overall, we had a great stay in a beautiful part of Europe.

Unforgetable week in a comfortable Lodge in a beautiful landscape

We were a group of friends, searching for a place to calm down and relaxing by fishing, hiking and drinking a beer together. And what should I say, It was a fantastic week !! 1rst of all Jackie our host: She was so dedicated to support us in advance with informations and prepared us with everything we need to have a pleasant stay...5 stars!! Afterall it was like visiting the house of a good friend.... The Lodge is a dream equipped with everything You need to travel within a larger group. No doubt about. Often we sit on the terrace with a look at the open garden and the small creek split up from the River Bela. Or we made a campfire and a barbecue...everything´s there for. Fishing the River Bela for brown trouts close to house was awesome!!...Fly-fishing and spin fishing is allowed so eveybody got his highlight and also some advices by the world champion in flyfishing in the tackle-shop at Liptovsky Mikulas The sourrounding area is made for a walk in an impressing nature...so thank You Jackie for that fantastic experience!!

Tolle Unterkunft in toller Lage

Der Aufenthalt war super, im Haus steht alles zur Verfügung was man so braucht. Die oberen beiden Zimmer haben ein eigenes Bad, was sehr angenehm ist. Das Haus ist im allgemeinen sehr groß und bietet genug Platz für eine große Familie. Der Außenbereich bietet sich viel Platz für Spiele und ähnliches. Das Haus liegt direkt an einem kleinen Fluss. Leider ist die Umgebung oft sehr laut. Sei es durch Bauarbeiter in der Nähe oder abends durch Nachbarn. In der Nähe befindet sich eine Metallbrücke, diese klappert sehr stark wenn sie von Autos befahren wird (besonders Nacht sehr unangenehm). Hier und da muss im Haus mal etwas erneuert werden, das Haus mit dem Inventar ist dann doch nicht mehr das neueste. Trotz allen hatten wir eine tolle Zeit und haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Absolutely beautiful

We loved staying at this gorgeous house which is located on beautiful property! It's modern yet rustic. The house was clean and contained everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed the outdoor area, the fire pit, the swing and the stream. The house is located in a private community and all you hear is the babbling of the stream. Jackie was absolutely wonderful to communicate with before and during our stay. She provided lots of very helpful information and recommendations and was able to answer all of our questions. The on-site property manager was also helpful during our stay. Highly recommended staying here!

Urlaub im Paradies

Wir durften im Juli 2 Wochen in Jackies Haus in Pribylina verbringen. Es war einfach alles perfekt: das wunderschöne, weiträumige, gemütliche Haus, umgeben von Bäumen und Büschen, direkt an einem Flusslauf . Für die Kinder das reinste "Abenteuerland". Die schöne Feuerstelle auf dem Grundstück haben wir gerne genutzt und Stockbrot und Würstchen gegrillt. Gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants sind schnell zu erreichen. Natürlich haben wir die wunderbare Natur der Hohen und Niederen Tatra ausgiebig genossen. Es gibt viele schöne Wanderwege. Auch spezielle Kinderangebote wie Schwimmbäder und Sommer-Rodelbahnen sind nicht weit. Milan hat uns gut eingewiesen und war immer ansprechbar für eventuelle Fragen oder Probleme, aber da alles perfekt war, mussten wir das kaum in Anspruch nehmen. Wir haben schon vorab von Jackie alle wichtigen Informationen erhalten, so dass von der An- bis zur Abreise alles problemlos geklappt hat. Vielen Dank, dass wir in diesem schönen Haus in der wunderschönen Natur Urlaub machen konnten.

Lovely, large home in the cute little town of Pribylina.

Two families, each with 2 adults and 2 children shared this home and it was perfect! There was ample space for everyone.. The location is beautiful, peaceful, and close to many outside activities in Slovakia (within an hour driving). Also, we loved walking to the ice cream shop in town and eating our ice cream on one of the many benches!

I live in Yorkshire, England, with my husband and we still travel often with our children now in their twenties. We're quite an active family so Tatras Lodge is perfect on two levels. It's so peaceful, it's the closest we ever get to doing nothing (for nothing, I mean: long lunches on the decking, playing games, paddling in the river, reading several books and drinking wine) and yet this is an activity haven. There's every conceivable winter and summer mountain activity with spas and water parks built on thermal springs in every direction. Winters are snowy, the ski season long and summers hot like they should be (only broken by hugely impressive storms) so the weather never stops us doing anything we planned. Cycling, mountain biking and cross country skiing are on the doorstep. Eating out has become an unexpected pleasure, with local and international cuisine available locally and at a fraction of British prices.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Slovakia after stumbling upon it driving over the mountains from Poland. The climate is perfect for winter and summer activities, its history is fascinating, the people are lovely and there's so much to do which is generally at a fraction of British prices.
Tatras Lodge is in Pribylina at the base of the sought after Tatras Mountains. Being a popular ski and summer alpine walking area means its infrastructure and the amenities are great. And yet, as one of an exclusive development of wooden lodges where the gentle Bela and Vah rivers connect, you could be anywhere and certainly can't hear a single car or voice inside or outside of the lodge. For us, it's the perfect combination of peace and convenience - not just for us but for growing daughters who loved it right from being young children, through the teenage years and now in their twenties.

What makes this property unique

We were involved in the planning and building of Tatras Lodge and opted for large, spacious rooms and three bathrooms (plus an extra cloakroom) to make for a truly luxurious stay for up to 10 people. Being one of only a few of the lodges to lead down to the river edge, and standing on a double sized plot, the lodge occupies a top, exceptionally private spot. Our local contact, and font of local information, oversees every stay and is always on hand to answer all your needs. Free WiFi is available at the property and we also have a barrel sauna in the grounds (this is the only thing we charge extra for).
