Highly Specified Luxury 6 Bedroom Villa, Individually Furnished, Panoramic Views

Designed for indoor / outdoor living the ground floor living area opens onto an outdoor dining area covered with a pergola with steps leading down into the 10 x 5 m pool. There is a huge pool area with 12 wooden sun loungers and a large outdoor sofa ; all of which enjoy panoramic views of Navarone Bay. The villa is set on a plateau 100 metres above sea level and 400 m back from the sea and overlooks the 6 star Acqua Grande hotel on the beach front where you can use the spa facilities. The villa is set in large grounds of 2000m2 and feels private. Outside there is a traditional Greek barbecue and outside speakers for the stereo. Inside is furnished individually with a mixture of antique and modern furniture very much as our home. The villa is well equipped with plasma TV, satellite, DVD, wifi , stereo, Air con throughout, power showers, fully equipped kitchen with fridge freezer and ice maker for those all important cocktails. A welcome pack of food and wine is provided.

Wunderschöne Villa

Das Haus ist ideal für einen Urlaub mit der Familie/ Freunden. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist fantastisch und das Haus liebevoll eingerichtet. Es liegt zwischen Lindos und Pefki, beide Orte haben schöne Badebuchten. Ein Auto ist hier allerdings von Vorteil, die Bushaltestelle ist aber auch nicht weit. Wir haben hier eine sehr schöne Woche verbracht, die Hauskeeperin Alex ist sehr hilfsbereit und immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite, vielen Dank dafür! Vor der Anreise wurden wir durch die Vermieter bereits mit vielen Informationen versorgt, die sehr hilfreich waren. Hier hatte man das Gefühl herzlich willkommen zu sein!

The perfect villa for a big group

I went as part of a group of 11 friends for a mid October stay. From the moment I was first in contact with Julian and Rosalie we knew we were in for a great stay as they provided so much information on the villa, Lindos and surrounding area (including some great restaurant reccos). Whilst we were at the villa, the manager Alex was extremely helpful. E.g. we had a power cut and someone was round to fix it in under 10 minutes. The villa itself was perfect; even nicer than the photos! A beautiful view, comfy beds, great BBQ area and almost everything you could need for a big group. My friends and I loved it. The location was also great for us, having somewhere quiet but close enough to town to walk if you would like (although it's a hot walk during the day). Definitely need a rental car or scooter to get around. All in all, I would recommend staying here to anyone.

Really nice house

We had an excellent time in this great spacious house. Everyone was doing their best to make the stay really nice. Super helpful!! The view from the terrace was worth every penny. The kitchen was fine but a little small and away from everything. But it was well equipped and worked out fine.

Spectacular Views

Overall very satisfied with the property. Great facilities and views of sea and ‘Guns of Navarrone’ Bay. The aircon was in general effective although a few units need replacing or attention but the Property Manager Alex was onto this and I am sure will be done. Kitchen smaller than thought but well provisioned. These are small things considering the close location to Lindos , fabulous pool and views.

Lovely well equiped villa

This is a great villa. The owners rep. was very helpful and answered all of our questions. The only thing we should mention was that one of our party who has had replacement hips and knees was not able to use the stairs to the upper and lower floors because there were no handrails to the stairs. This will not be a problem for most guests.

Villa was stunning as was the view. It was very well equipped and the layout worked well for our family. Would just say, some of the beds were small, being just doubles and two rooms had singles. However our party were all couples and whilst my request to have the single beds of one room pushed together was kindly met, it would have been better to have beds that are actually made for this option and with bedding that fitted that option. Bathrooms worked well for our party, were beautiful and two were huge. The bathroom facilities were excellent. None en-suite but actually that was good-avoided any arguments! October weather was amazing but swimming pool was freezing. Solar heating may be an option? Outside space and facilities worked perfectly. Hardly used the lounge and didn’t need to use the dining no room but everything provided was perfect. Kitchen was very well equipped also. Laundry room too! Location was good but not as close to Lindos as I expected. Not really walking distance and the return route takes you up a VERY steep hill. Car hire essential. Overall, we had an amazing holiday and loved the villa.

Beautiful, well equipped and appointed villa with excellent facilities

We had an amazing two weeks at the villa; the accommodation was perfect for three families and the location was very good in terms of its proximity to Lindos and Pefkos. We all thoroughly enjoyed the infinity pool; using the excellent facilities and eating on the patio, overlooking the sea. Would highly recommend staying here if you're happy to take a short drive to the best beach I've ever been to (Pefkos) and restaurants that serve the most delicious food (also in Pefkos). We wanted for nothing as the villa so well equipped and all came home wanting a fridge with an ice machine. For the whole two weeks, the villa felt like our home as we were left to it, but the agent was very easily contactable at any time. Overall: beautiful villa, beautiful place and beautiful weather.

Perfect villa for a large group. Everything we could have needed was provided.

The villa was perfect for our large group. The views were beautiful and location was good if you are looking for a guiet holiday. The pool and outside area was perfect for spending the day at the villa with a big BBQ for dinner. The villa was large and modern inside. All bedrooms had air con and there are plenty of bathrooms that there was no queuing for the shower in the morning. Kitchen had everything we could have needed. Location of the villa was perfect of you are looking for a quiet holiday. Withing walking distance of 2 towns, however we woild recommend renting a car as we spent a lot of time in taxis as the walk to the shops was up hill and very hot in June sunshine! Would defimitely reccommend this villa for large families and groups of friends.

Villa Athena is the perfact holiday accommodation!

We have had the MOST fabulous stay at Villa Athena to celebrate a big birthday. The villa was full (12) and worked perfectly for us - both just to hang out in by the pool and for the main event. The Villa is well set up and the accommodation is very comfortable. Catering for that number of people was easy in the well appointed and equipped kitchen and the space provided meant that no one felt they were cramped. This is topped off by the infinity pool - which was at the perfect temperature for the time of year - and the fabulous view of Navaronne Point. The interior design is very pleasing and all is well maintained and in working order. The local beaches are many and varied in Lindos and Pefkos and for that quick dip in the early evening the sea can be reached on foot! Furthermore the Island provided ample attractions - boat trips, walks and the Acropolis in Lindos to name but a few - and fine choice of good restaurants for those evenings and lunches when you want to chill in Lindos, Pefkos and Kiotari. In short - we thoroughly enjoyed the Villa and I can't think of one thing that fell short of our expectations.

Wonderful

We had a fabulous week in Villa Athena for our summer holiday. We had been to Lindos a few years back and always said we would go back as it such as beautiful place. Our 2nd visit didn't disappoint. Blue skies, sunny days and lots of lazing by the pool or on the beach, interspersed with excessive eating and drinking in one of the many great tavernas within striking distance of the villa. The villa itself was beautiful, set high up on the hillside with incredible views out over the sea and the imposing cliffs. Everything was perfect and the owners were a pleasure to deal with - we asked lots of questions before booking and they responded to all of them with patience and good humour. Our kids are already set on going back next year. Highly recommended for anyone who likes peace and quiet with a bit of luxury thrown in.

Brilliant holiday in a wonderful villa!

We stayed a week in the villa in August with 2 families (including 4 children ranging between 6-10 yrs old). The villa was very well situated - close to Lindos town - an idyllic village with great shops and amazing restaurants - ranging from the cheap & cheerful tavernas to upmarket restaurants with amazingly diverse & delicious menus. The villa is close to many beautiful beaches where we enjoyed fun activities such as sailing, water parks with slides, water skiing asking amongst others. We enjoyed our excursions on foot to the luxury hotel at the bottoms of the hill for a spot of shopping in the fantastic boutique, relaxing massage and cocktails by the beach. The villa itself has an amazing infinity pool overlooking a beatiful bay and plenty of (outdoor) space for children to run around in, play football, beach tennis, etc. The villa is beautifully decorated - great attention to detail and lovely artefacts everywhere in the house. Good bathrooms with properly working showers, comfortable beds, luxury towels and linen. The kitchen is well designed and very well equipped including a brilliant fridge with ice maker. There is a big tv with DVD player and a good internet/wifi network connection. The airconditioning in every room was a real blessing as sleeping without it would have been a challenge at the height of summer. All in all we had a fantastic time and will define go back for a repeat!

Our Return to a Beautiful Villa

We were all excited about returning to the beautiful villa Athena for a second year and we were not disappointed. The villa is exactly as described with clean, comfortable rooms, wonderfully furnished and giving a real sense of home which immediately makes you feel relaxed. The layout of the pool, so close to the outside dining space, is perfect for manoeuvring yourself effortlessly from the morning’s sun bathing and swimming to the table for lunch in the shade. The steps down to the pool provide easy access for anyone with reduced mobility (we had octogenarians in our party who swam each day) and a popular place to sit and cool yourself in the shade from the afternoon sun. Plus, the view from here is stunning, right out over Navarone Bay, where you can watch small boats going to and fro and the lights twinkling in the evening. Cooking facilities at the villa are excellent with a well fitted kitchen and outdoor BBQ. Further afield, Lindos and its wonderful restaurants are in easy reach by taxi, which are reasonably priced and always readily available despite us needing two or three at a time to cope with our numbers. Our favourite place was the restaurant and beach at Pefkos where we enjoyed hiring a boat and then discussing our exploits over some very good food. Alex, the manager, was really helpful and did everything to make our stay enjoyable. Even to the point where, at the end of the holiday, one of us left an iPad behind. Alex immediately contacted us and kindly delivered it to a place several miles away where we were able to retrieve it. Villa Athena offers something for everyone (our party’s ages ranged from mid 80’s to 6) and we would definitely recommend this beautiful place to family and friends.

Spacious, well-equipped villa for 3 families

Villa Athena was perfect for 3 families; each family could be on a different floor with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom each. The kitchen was well-equipped for 11 of us and the TV and sound system were great. The house is well situated - a 5 minute drive to Lindos, beaches, and all water sports very nearby. Sightseeing, boat trips and fantastic restaurants close by too.

Fantastic, Villa Athena was a true luxury break.

We were a group of friends and family celebrating a major birthday. The villa was perfect for our needs. A real treat. Plenty of space, comfortable beds, fantastic views and best of all the ice maker. We want one at home now. The house is well provisioned with everything you need. A great pool, plenty of sun loungers and an outside BBQ. We ate in all the recommended restaurants and were not disappointed. The beach in front is definitely worth a visit. The local boats stop there to snorkel. Its crystal clear and great for swimming. We also chartered a yacht one day - Yin Yang which was the highlight of the week. The brochures are in the draw.

I had found it surprisingly hard to rent holiday properties that really work over the years and set about places which we could enjoy initially without children with friends; and now with our very young family and other families

Why they chose this property

Lindos captivated me when I was 21 with its unspoilt charm and buzzing bars and restaurants hewn out of the interiors of old fishermans cottages which remain intact and give character.
Rhodes is a large island and provides something for everyone. It is a long way south and has sun 300 days a year; it has every variety of watersports available; it has history for me with the legacy of the crusades and the Colussus in Rhodes old town together with the Italian occupation legacy; spas for my wife and surprises with the quality and variety of restaurants in Lindos. It is a great island to explore with hillside towns , walks; family destinations such as waterpark; a butterflly trail; golf, shopping, day trips to Turkey, scuba diving boat hire - we still have not covered it after 6 years

What makes this property unique

We built the villa because we had found it a challenge to find rental homes for holidays that worked with a quality 'at home' feel of being well and individually furnished and with views, plus all the modern conveniences of a hotel from wifi and plasma TV down to quality linen; but with the flexibility of a home in which to entertain family and friends rather than be restricted to a hotel room and public areas.

We hope that we have achieved this in a location where we can go to local hotels to use spas and watersports and also to be able to enjoy great local restaurants or simply barbecue at home around the pool and make a cocktail , enjoy the sunset and put our own music on.

It works for us and our many friends who have stayed and we hope that you enjoy it too.
