Great location for this lovely house which suited our needs perfectly. The location was good for Salcombe but also for the surrounding beaches . We were a family group of all ages.

Lovely property with outstanding views
Staying at Cornerways really made it special for us as we were down in Salcombe for a family wedding. To have a very comfortable property like this was perfect for the weekend. The snowy conditions made walking a challenge but we managed those hills even so!

Cornerways was a great pace for a gathering of the clan. Plenty of space for those who had to log on to work, plenty of space to eat inside and out, plenty of hot water for post swim warm up & great railing for drying the swimmies on. Cornerways was a very confortable stay, the views are fantastic, the bedrooms good sizes. Wonderful breakfast terrace, great dining room and good parking for 2-3 cars. It was clean and directions and description accurate. THe kitchen itself a little small for a large party and the walk back from Salcombe town centre is up a steep hill - but those are the only negative things I have to say about it!

So glad you enjoyed your stay and that Cornerways accommodated your needs. Regarding the kitchen, we have planning permission to extend it, doubling the size. It was scheduled to be done last winter but sadly Covid prevented this. The builders start construction in November so work should be completed by Easter next year. The hills however are not such a quick fix, but help to balance the excesses of a good holiday! Welcome back anytime.
Great house, very spacious and well equipped and beautifully finished. Lovely views and flexible accommodation for our large family with lots of different generations within it. Owners were very helpful with any queries and made available extra helpful items such as plastic beach glasses/cups, which were very useful. The short walk into Salcombe was fine for us, but a steep climb on the way back which may be useful for some visitors to reflect on. However the three on site car parking spaces are very useful and give flexibility if any driving is needed. We all had a lovely holiday.

A lovely property that accommodated the various ages of all the family. Weather was very kind to us and managed several days on the beach. We used the takeaway pizza and chip shop that was just through the park and in the town. The hike back up the hill was steep though although when you looked back the view breathtaking!!! The local spar shop was very handy as well as just round the corner. A lovely holiday had by us all.

We had a great family holiday at Cornerways helped by brilliant weather. The worst thing was the early (4.45am) wake up calls from squabling seagulls on the roof. We also had to be careful leaving any food unattended as it was quickly grabbed. The house Is well equipped and the beds were comfortable. The walk up the hill was not easy with paddle boards and beach kit but we all felt fitter at the end of our holiday.
It felt like the house was filled with a welcome. I would recommend this spacious house to any family. Our whole family added up to 17 members with lots of young children we were spread across two houses wonderfully placed to meet outside the fudge shop!! Thank you
Great property with everything you can think of to make a very relaxing holiday. Property clean and very well equipped and to a high standard. Hope to be back some day with the family.

We had a really enjoyable half-term break at Cornerways in Salcombe. Its a lovely big house which is perfect for family holidays. Plenty of different spaces to sit indoors and out and room for the kids to run around and let off steam. Beautiful views from the main bedrooms. BBQ on the front terrace with views to the Estuary. Always a privilege to stay in someones own holiday home rather than a purely commercial property. Thank you!

Sehr sauber, toll eingerichtet, bei einer großen Gruppe fehlt eine Duschmöglichkeit. Die Küche vollausgestattet, viele Rückzugsmöglichkeiten (Kaminzimmer, Wintergarten, Sonnenterasse, Rasenfläche. Nach gelegen am Hafen und trotzdem total ruhige Lage. Genug Parkfläche für 10 Motorräder hinter dem Haus.

A really lovely, very well maintained 5 bedroomed house
We had a lovely stay at Cornerways we were a party of 9, 5 adults & 4 children. The house is lovely, really clean, well maintained and well equipped with all, your home from home comforts. All 5 bedrooms were a good size but the best was definitely the loft room which I thought was quirky with it's slanting ceilings, it was also very spacious with brilliant views across the estuary.There are just no negatives with this house, would definitely recommend & would love to stay here again. Salcombe is a lovely town though I must admit to finding the steep climb back to the house quite a challenge but there were places to stop to admire the view & to catch your breathe!! We were lucky with the weather for an early November stay & we all had a brilliant time.

Lovely spacious holiday rental
The whole house was lovely, the outside bbq area at the front of the house was well used while we were there. The house itself was very comfortable. Very well equipped. Plenty of everything kitchen wise. Maybe a bigger oven when catering for so many, but we coped. The loft suite was perfect, and the sunrise on our last morning was beautiful. Would return next year but there will be another 4 of us so unfortunately Cornerways will not be big enough.........but another time definitely !

Lovely holiday

A lovely house - perfect for family holidays!
"Cornerways" is an impressive house, situated in an elevated position with superb views over the Salcombe estuary. The house is very well equipped, tastefully decorated and impeccably clean throughout. It is also very spacious, light and airy. We all felt very much "at home" as soon as we stepped inside, and it was a perfect venue for our celebration holiday with our extended family of ten, (+2 dogs)!
There is plenty to do and see in the Salcombe area, with the added bonus of increasing fitness by walking the coastal paths and up and down many hills in the town!
We all enjoyed our stay very much, and highly recommend this superbly appointed family home.

Owners Nick and Jenny have three adult children. We all love holidaying in Salcombe with the family, as well as spending time at Cornerways with our friends. We live and work just outside London and enjoy taking weekend breaks down in Devon to get away from the stresses of our working life, enjoying the hustle and bustle of the busy summer months, but equally the peace and tranquility offered in low season.
Why they chose this property
We have been holidaying in Salcombe since the 1970's, and in 1998 decided to buy Cornerways. It is a lovely family home, in a good location being set about 5-10 minutes walk from the centre. There are great views and good inside and outside space.
What makes this property unique
Three separate reception areas means that those wishing to watch TV can be in a separate location from those wanting to socialise in the dining room or conservatory. The conservatory also offers a feeling of being outside when the weather is not ideal, whilst still enjoying the views. Our newly constructed loft suite offers a large bedroom with ensuite shower room and a sitting area with views. This can be a lovely refuge for grandparents who wish to have their own space. Apart from the lounge, downstairs is not carpeted. This accommodates our guests who like to bring their dogs away with them. We have private off street parking for three cars. The Spar convenience store is just around the corner!
