Gite With Private Pool Set Within The Forest

Welcome to Gite Magnolia Bordeaux formerly Pechicas, set in half an acre and complete with its own solar heated private pool. The gite is located within a forest which is part of the national reserve, it offers you seclusion and peace yet the local village of Prechac is less than a mile away and there are surrounding towns of Langon, Bazas and Villandraut within a fifteen minute drive that offer wonderful restaurants, supermarkets and sightseeing.

The property can sleep up to 12 in beds this is max 6 Adults and 6 Children, so ideal for extended family holidays. the basic price is for 2 people, please add all others that will be staying including children, there is a cot on site for an infant so do not include any infant in the booking just let me know so I can prepare the cot, this means you will see the correct charge and I can ensure your party will be accommodated, if you are unsure please drop me an email of your party ie no adults / children / babies and I can send you a quote for your stay. Please note that any additional guests will be charged per day / night and the total number cannot exceed 12 including all children, MAX 6 ADULTS AND 6 CHILDREN INC INFANT IN COT.

Guests are requested to leave the Gite in the same condition they found it, this means cleaning all kitchen surfaces, wiping over the hob, clean the BBQ, empty all bins and recycle bins and dispose of, sweep floors. I will wash all bedding and towels. Thankyou.

The chateau Cazeneuve is in the village of Prechac and is open to visitors all through the summer.

The beach of Archacon and Dunes of Pyla are within an hours drive. There is also a zoo, kayaking down the Ciron river, Hostens lake - a great place for children, fishing, golf, karting, ice skating, horse riding and of course wine tasting at any of the many local vineyards.

The local town of Bazas has its own cathedral and many bars and restaurants that surround the town square, a perfect place to sample the local cuisine and wine.

vacances au calme au milieu de la forêt

Le cadre est remarquable et particulièrement calme au milieu d'un boisement de pins. C'est un cadre de vacances idéal. Les propriétaires (qui ne parlent que l'anglais) logent juste à côté du gîte mais sont très discrets et la piscine est bien à usage privatif et très agréable. Il y a une climatisation pour la pièce principale et l'espace clos extérieur est bien adapté pour une famille. La literie est assez moyenne. Les équipements de la maison ne sont pas toujours bien fonctionnels (pas de pile dans les télécommandes et dans la balance de cuisine, hotte anormalement bruyante, machine à laver qu'il faut débrancher et rebrancher pour l'activer, barbecue à gaz vétuste, aspirateur asthmatique, fenêtre que ne se verrouille pas, lattes de lit fatiguées, appareil anti-moustique sans recharge, siphon de douche pas nettoyé …). Il manque quelques petits équipements comme un batteur et un robot-mixeur. Pour résumer, l'ensemble est un peu fatigué et dans son jus.

The property is a holiday home not fully equipped professional kitchen. The bed and wardrobe were broken by guests children. There are brooms for sweeping as well as small hoover. The shower tray was clogged with hair after your departure and is cleaned at every changeover. The washing machine needs a new switch that is unavailable currently and does not warrant disposal just because of this minor issue. The gas bbq is used by all guests, cleaned after each change and the burners replaced every couple of years, they are due to be changed shortly, the regulator that broke while you were here was replaced immediately. If you had issues it would be nice to raise them direct with me while you were here and not weeks later publicly.

Paisible, reposant, perdu aux milieux des pins

La maison est très agréable et bien équipée. Les alentours sont superbes. La piscine est géniale. Tout est prévu pour les enfants (couchages, trampoline, jeux...). Tracey est discrète et aux petits soins. Seul bémol, la propreté quelque peu hasardeuse dans les pièces de vie de la maison (vaisselle grasse, odeurs, barbecue à décrasser...). Je recommande cette adresse.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans le gîte malgré les feux de forêt qui étaient proches. Même si certaines activités n'ont pas pu être réalisées à cause des incendies nous avons pu profiter tous les jours de la piscine et c'était plus qu'appreciable les jours de canicule. Tracey est très discrète et très sympathique et nous sommes très.contents de nos vacances.

Séjour très agréable

Location bien équipée dans un bel espace vert. La piscine chauffée est très agréable. Les propriétaires sont très discrets et sympathiques. On vit dehors sans vis à vis et le jardin est assez grand et clôturé, ce qui est parfait pour les enfants et les chiens. Une voiture est indispensable pour les courses ou déplacements.

Thank you for your review, whilst the island in the lounge / kitchen only has 6 stools around it, the outside table on the terrace can accommodate 8 and a further table is by the pool that can seat a further 6, in better weather guests do not sit indoors to eat. Nous avons passé une très belle semaine ! la propriété est isolée et dans la forêt : c'est donc très calme et reposant. La piscine est très chouette et rafraîchissante au mois d’août. La propriétaire est discrète et disponible. A noter : il y avait très peu de moustiques lors de notre séjour début août : c'était très agréable. Merci :-)

Zon en rust vakantie

Fijne omgeving voor volledige rust en stilte midden in het bos! Huisje ok voor 6 personen, super zwembad! Huis vrij cool door bossen dus goed om te slapen. Wel beetje duf door vochtigheid bos alsook een Franse “netheid” 🥴 maar mits iets grondiger poetswerk fantastisch huis! Omgeving weegt dik op tov properheid!! Fijn verblijf!!

Très agréable séjour

Nous avons loué ce gîte pour nous retrouver un week-end en famille à la campagne avec nos 2 chiens. Gîte très calme en pleine forêt, accès par un petit chemin forestier. Idéal pour les amateurs de nature...

Gîte très calme entouré de forêt. Accès par un chemin forestier. Propriétaire souriante sur place très réactive et discrète ... Piscine bien entretenue autour d’une terrasse spacieuse. VTT à disposition pour les plus sportifs ! Bref un séjour conforme à nos souhaits !!!

great location and house

We've had a lovely stay in de mid of February with beautiful weather. The house is good equipped and in de evenings pretty fast heated up with the fireplace. With al wood and coles provided. We enjoyed te surroundings and Bordeaux is within an hours ride, so there is enough to see and do.

Beautiful quiet location

Hi, my name is Tracey and I currently live at the property with my two dogs. I have 3 grown up children plus step-children and an expanding number of grandchildren. Its free holidays from now on for all friends and family - or so they think but no doubt I will find odd jobs for them to help with whilst they are here. Please feel free to email or call me if you want anymore information. I am in a separate property from the Gite but on the same site, the gardens are completely separate so if you wish to bring your dog it will not be a problem. All dogs must be friendly as I have two of my own, although separate gardens.

Why they chose this property

As soon as I saw the property I fell in love with it and the area, it is so peaceful and beautiful. There is so much to go and see in the area and if your love is golf or fishing then there are over a dozen top quality golf courses within an hour or so plus many lakes and rivers to fish (permit required from local post office). It is just 40 minutes drive from Bordeaux airport and 1 1/2 hours from Bergerac airport. The property is set in a forest just a short track from the main road and has access by car. It is set within the national reserve and is an area of natural beauty and tranquility.

What makes this property unique

The gite has 3 very large bedrooms, the ground floor bedroom has a king size and single day bed that converts to another king size bed or 2 single beds, one of the two first floor bedrooms has a super kingsize bed and cot, the other a kingsize plus sofabed that makes another kingsize bed. There is satellite TV, DVD player and flat screen TV and the kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, dolce gusto coffee maker and enough pots, pans, dishes and cutlery to serve twelve people either in the lounge or outside on the covered patio. There is also a washing machine and two bathrooms. You have exclusive use of the 9M x 4M pool that comes equipped with sunloungers, table and chairs and all the peace and quiet you could wish for. You also get the use of mountain bikes if you decide you wish to ride through the surrounding forest or ride to the village to collect your bread.

Changeover day is Saturday or Sunday so that guests can avoid the nightmare Saturdays in August in France. In addition flights from UK are cheaper on a Sunday. However if you wish to start or end your holiday on another day please ask, I am happy to oblige if I can. If you look at the calendar you will see what days and dates are available, please note it will be difficult to accommodate a mid week to mid week stay in high season due to fitting in other bookings.

To make a booking please note a 25% non refundable deposit is payable and the balance due 8 weeks before your arrival date. This money is held by VRBO and is not dispensed to me until after you have checked in to the property. Please see my full terms and conditions that will also be emailed to you with your confirmation.
