I had a great time in Emily’s place. It had everything I needed and the bed was so comfortable. It’s situated perfectly at the end of the high st and a short walk straight down to the river.
This is a lovely, clean, homely property which was in an ideal location to our family gathering. The tour of the property on arrival was very helpful and Emily was easy to deal with. I would recommend!
Lovely property, spotlessly clean. Emily met us on arrival to show us around and couldn’t have been more helpful or informative about the area. Highly recommended!
The property is a lovely end of village immaculately presented, comfortable home and was a real home from home experience, everything provided that you could possibly need.
Edzell village is delightful, it has a hotel, restaurant pub, supermarket, artisan shop with cafe, 10 min stroll to the river North Esk and the property is directly next to the village park. Numerous walks and local places of interest to visit, we packed in as much as we could but will certainly be returning to investigate more.
We stayed in this lovely flat in the pretty village of Edzell for one week. It is spotlessly clean, comfortable, well equipped and in a perfect location. We had great walks in the village and beyond and the park across the road was ideal for our young Labrador. We would definitely recommend it. Many thanks.
When we need away from it all this is our go to escape . Edzell is one of the most beautiful locations in Scotland with incredible places to fish, walk, its only 10 mins from the beach at St Cyrus and is just the perfect place to get away and relax.
The cottage is an absolutely perfect base. It has everything you could possibly need to make it a home from home. It is well appointed full of lovely little touches and spotlessly clean. It is wonderfully spacious We travelled as a family of 3 with our dog. The hosts are just lovely checking in and checking out is seamless and they are just at the end of the phone should you need anything during your stay.
Edzell we will be back soon and when we do we will come back to this wonderful property.
EXCELLENT GROUND FLOOR APARTMENT. HANDY ACCESS AT BACK GATE TO OUR CAR WHICH WAS PARKED AT THE SIDE. CLEAN, COMFORTABLE BEDS, PLENTY OF HOT WATER AND ALL MOD CONS. EDZELL IS A LOVELY SMALL TOWN WITH SOME GREAT WALKS NEARBY. EMILY WAS A PERFECT HOST WHO EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO US ON ARRIVAL. WE WOULD HAVE NO HESITATION IN STAYING HERE AGAIN.
Very clean lots of room.Host very well coming .Good amenities .lots to do round Edzell hope to come again.Park just across the road.Had a lovely few days.
A super stay with very comfy beds and beautiful quality bed linen. Easy check in and lots of care and attention to detail around the property.

We would definitely recommend this spotlessly clean property and stay again. The local pub/ restaurant ( just across the road) served delicious food and are very welcoming. I managed to get some fab photos of the area and Glencoe too
Lovely accomadation in a great location.
Stayed for 4 nights
Property has everything needed for a great stay
Immaculately clean throughout. Secure back yard for dog
Would definitely recommend and would happily stay again.
Only negative was the pub across
the road did not allow dogs but that has nothing to do with the property.
We had been here before so knew what to expect. It exceeded our previous stay. Everything you needed was there, and the place was so clean and tidy. We were met at the flat and everything explained clearly. Super location with shops pub and golf all close. Visited Fettercairn distillery and House of Dun and an hour trip to St Andrews and Anstruther. The flat has the best Wi-Fi I have experienced. Definitely worth a stay.
Well presented holiday let for my parents who were visiting us in the village. Made it super easy that they could accommodate their well behaved dog too! Will be back!
Great stay, fish and chips right across the street. Who could ask for more!!

About the host
Hosted by David & Emily MacSporran
We have lived in Edzell for the last 15 years. I recently retired from the Builders Merchanting Industry and now spend my time golfing, walking, gardening, diy and being a member of the Community Council.
Emily is a retired accountant and she also enjoys the country pursuits.
We both take an active interest in the village and the surrounding countryside and glens.
Why they chose this property
It is not often that properties come on the market for sale in Edzell. When Edgemuir, 97 High Street and the apartment above it did come onto the market at the same time we thought this was a great opportunity to invest in one of the original houses that was build around 1860.
Edgemuir was in dire need of repair and we took time and care renovating it to a high standard. The property now offers very comfortable and freindly accommodation and has been awarded Scottish Tourist Board 4 star rating.
