This pretty old Water Mill (Alte Bachmuhle) is over 300 years old. The interior has been sympathetically renovated keeping the Austrian Charm throughout but incorporating all modern facilities. Reserved parking space, south facing balcony & garden Area. Use of Sauna & laundry room. ski/boot/bike storage in the basement. Shops, ATM/Bank & tourist office close by. Excellent location to explore beautiful areas of Salzburgerland Summer and Winter.

Gute Lage

Julie war sehr bemüht und hat immer geholfen. Das Appartement ist mit Liebe eingerichtet. Der TV Kamin war schön gemütlich. Lage ist toll. Die doch hohe Miete ( auch wenn Hochsaison ist) ist jedoch nicht gerechtfertigt. Das App mit 5 Personen ist doch sehr klein ( merkt man auch an dem Esstisch mit der schmalen Bank). Höchstens für 2 Erwachsene mit 2 kleinen Kindern geeignet. Das Bad ist sauber und ordentlich aber definitiv nicht luxuriös! Die Heiztherme reichte manchmal nicht das alle 5 warm duschen konnten. Die Sauna kostet leider extra und hat uns im Keller nicht so eingeladen.

Schönes Appartement im Tal von Saalbach Hinterglemm

Wir haben das Appartement eine Woche mit drei Personen und Hund genutzt. Es hat uns gut gefallen. Die Ausstattung ist umfangreich und vollständig. Es ist zu erkennen, dass sich die Eigner häufiger hier aufhalten. Ein schöne Überraschung war der Apple TV, so konnten wir Filme von unseren Apple Devices auf dem Fernseher abspielen. Von Viehhofen kommt man innerhalb von 10 Minuten mit dem Auto oder Skibus zur Talstation Vorderglemm. Aus dem Skigebiet gibt es eine direkte Abfahrt nach Viehhofen. Im Ort hat uns das Restaurant "Alte Schmiede" sehr gut gefallen. Hier lohnt sich ein Besuch - wichtig: vorab reservieren.

Why they chose this property

I have loved skiing since school age over 50 years ago. I always loved Austria and would never of dreamed that I would be lucky enough to be able to own such a beautiful property in this Austrian Alps. Prior to Austria, I owned an apartment in the Alp Maritimes in France for for 5 years. Having made a home for myself in Austria now, I wouldn't swap it for anywhere else in Europe.

What makes this property unique

As well as Winter Sports activities this area is famous for Summer activities such as:- walking, hiking, mountain bike routes, tennis, Zip lining, quad biking, open air pools in Saalbach & much more. There are many 5* health Spa's in the area where you can just relax and be pampered, or simply just enjoy the wonderful fresh mountain air. Chalet Alte Bachmuhle is such a convenient and peaceful location to sample all these delights.
