The views across the extensive gardens are excellent. There are innumerable local walks and guests are welcome to explore the farmland which is immediately adjacent to the cottage. The land is used particularly for rearing livestock, mainly sheep and cattle although some fields will, in the summer, be growing fodder crops for winter feed.
