Cottage With Sea Views

Sea View Cottage is a delightful original fisherman's cosy cottage situated in an enviable position in the seaside resort of Scarborough. It is an original fisherman’s cottage dating back to the 1850's and is full of character and charm. It is a ten-minute walk from the cottage to the award winning sandy beaches and promenade or to the hustle and bustle of the town centre. The spectacular sea views from the upstairs bedroom show you just how close you are to the sea front. The property has recently undergone a refurbishment into a modern, well-equipped cottage with tasteful decor and furnishings throughout. It is an ideal base for couples and families looking to explore this beautiful part of the Yorkshire Coast and is a haven for walkers and cyclists with lovely cliff top walks and cycle tracks located close by. The accommodation comprises of a lounge/kitchen/diner with electric fire, TV with HD/Freeview and built in DVD. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, slim line dishwasher, washing machine in outhouse. The bathroom includes a walk-in electric shower and bath with shower mixer tap. The second floor bedroom can be arranged as a super king or twin beds. WiFi is available at the cottage. Scarborough has everything you should need to have an enjoyable holiday to remember. The Sea Life Centre is a great family day out or you could take a trip out on one of the pleasure cruises, speed boats or fishing trips available. Scarborough Castle is only a few hundred yards from the property. The open air theatre, which is the largest in Europe has some excellent events going on throughout the year. There are numerous activities in Scarborough for all ages including Alpamare a new indoor/outdoor waterpark. golfing, fishing, indoor go carting, bowling and cinemas and lots more. A short drive will bring you to the historic town of Whitby from where you can board the North Yorkshire Moors steam train that will take you on a trip to remember through the glorious Esk Valley to Goathland and Pickering. The coastal resorts of Robin Hoods Bay, Sand send, Staithes and Runswick Bay are also within easy reach and well worth a day out.

Perfect location

An ideal location for Scarborough and Yorkshire coast adventures. Groceries, restaurants all nearby, including the excellent Scarborough Arms pub. Property exactly as described.

Cottage was perfect for a little family like ours. Great location close to the beach & food places we also found a little wooden park 5minutes round the corner that was brilliant for the kids to have a run round. Cottage was clean ,plenty off space inside and affordable for a young family. Will definitely be booking again and will definitely recommend to friends and family.thankyou for our stay😊

Sea view Cottage

Cannot recommend this property enough for a holiday in Scarborough. It’s location provides easy access to North or South Bay both only a 5 minute stroll away. The cottage is warm, cosy, clean, fully equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Thank you Andrea we had a great stay x

Seaview Cottage

I really wish I'd booked this cottage for a few days longer - it's so cosy, homely and full of character. The living room is comfortable with lots of charming touches; both bedrooms are spacious with lovely furniture and bedding, and I was blown away by the size of the bathroom. The back yard is nice and secluded; ideal for enjoying a coffee in the morning before setting out for the day, or dining al fresco in the evening. I highly recommend this property and can't wait to come back!

A smashing place

wild and windy in an exciting spot. We had a drama on the street when a lady further up was evacuated through an upstairs window and we had other things happen in the town, (all good stuff). Via Whats App we watched family converging on Scarborough from all parts of the country for the 70th birthday. So all in all it couldn't have been a better stay. Thank you.

Enjoyed the cottage which was spacious and airy although two older members ((70s and 80s) found the stairs hard work. But it was an old fisherman’s cottage so not surprising.

Lovely cottage for a short break

Ideal cottage for a family of 4 plus dog. Really spacious bedrooms and bathroom. Downstairs a little small but fine for what we needed. Tastefully decorated and well equipped kitchen. We found the downstairs needed an extra lamp so we took one from the bedroom and put it into the lounge to make it even cozier in the evenings. The parking was a problem on arrival but a neighbour very kindly moved his car to create a space. We didn’t dare move the car until departure! … but everywhere was accessible on foot (and we like to walk!). Andrea was really friendly and responsive throughout the whole booking process; and has clearly considered the important touches to make the stay comfortable. Many thanks.

Pleasant and quiet neighborhood

Basic accommodation, ie. one roll f toilet paper. Everything we needed, but “tired” and could do with new mattress, slip covers on old furniture, lighter paint, brighter light bulbs. Renters should be prepared for a challenging walk. Very friendly, helpful neighbour. Put out maps of town and suggestions for food, transportation, places to see. Wanted to communicate with owner, requested through VRBO early, but she only replied within hours of checkin. Felt she didn’t really care about our stay. I would never treat a guest with such little care.

Pleasant accommodation

A very nice property, in handy location. Great and rapid response from the host, Andrea on small issues around heating. Kitchen well equipped. A good size of the bathroom, which was clean. Towels were very soft , so big plus for me!! Area very quiet. The house is one of the tall ones so something to bear in mind when coming with small kids as the stairs are slightly steep so no running around :) I can imagine the parking could be an issue as there is not much space on the street but we never experienced this. Thank you!
