Undercliffe is a well appointed three bedroom ground floor apartment situated on the sea front, overlooking filey Bay's beautiful sandy beach and with extensive sea views. The property comprises of three bedrooms, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, separate toilet and large lounge. There is a private patio to the front of the property and yard to the rear. The property will accommodate up to 6 people. The apartment has full central heating and all gas and electric are included in the price. All bed linen is included but please bring your own towels and tea towels. Change over date is Saturday and short breaks are available during low season. All amenities in the town are within walking distance including golf, fishing, shops, bars and restaurants. Filey's miles of sandy beaches and safe bathing makes it ideal for families, while the geology and wildlife offer an extra dimension for walkers and nature enthusiasts. Scarborough and Bridlington are also a short bus or train ride away.

Perfect location with amazing view of sea and easy access to town (for me) - mum couldn’t make it up the hill!! Very clean and well resourced flat.

In respect on the hill there is a free bus service that runs along the sea front in summer. In addition there are taxis that are based at the train station and are very reasonably priced for short journeys and very reliable. I will be taking my mum (she is 98) in August. We do make use of these facilities ourselves so I can speak from personal experience. Hope this helps and thank you once again

Very nice apartment ,lovely view from front window. The beach was very clean and grand kids enjoyed being on the beach most morning.I needed a mobilty scooter to get around and to say it was a little hard some times with the hills around Filey for the scooter but pleanty of good people still around to help us so thank you for a very nice hoilday.

We are pleased you had an enjoyable stay, we understand the hills can be a little challenging. I recently took my Mum (98yrs) and know that pushing a wheel chair is a task. The local taxi firm is very good and cost are quite moderate. I was charged £4.90 into town. As an alternative there is also the Filey little bus that runs all over Filey and on the sea front Thank you again for your kind words. We would welcome back again if you return to Filey

Christmas break

An amazing location on Filey seafront this apartment has everything you need for a great seaside holiday.. It is clean , well equipped and the owner will iron out any problems really quickly. We had a great time.

We had a great weekend weather wise, apartment is lovely could do with a deep clean and modernisation also a bench on the front would have been better than plastic furniture , PAT testing needs updating as 12 weeks past its date.

Hi Kelly We are sorry the apartment did not match your expectations. The apartment was deep cleaned and redecorated in March/April 2025. This was done with the sole intention of modernisation, whilst keeping many of the traditional features of the Edwardian property which many of our guests have expressed their approval and appreciation, so just matter of taste really. We take the well being and safety of our guests as paramount. As a holiday let we fall within the regulatory Reform (fire saftey)order 2005 . The apartment is checked every six months in accordance with the fire regulations and annually for gas. With regards to PAT testing there is no specific law in the UK that states PAT testing has to be carried out at fixed intervals or give specific time frames for testing. However in an effort to help ensure guest safety we choose to carry this out on an annual basis. As explained to you on the phone due to the redecorating and cleaning in April the electrician had to reschedule this until July when this will be carried out We hope this explanation helps to clarify the situation for you. The main entrance door was an absolute nightmare, we all struggled to open it. The double bed was broken. When I striped the beds before leaving, the mattress protector was absolutely disgusting, awful stains on it. The drain in the yard kept blocking, the owner was very good and quick to sort this. I would consider staying again, the view was stunning. If all the above were fixed, especially the door. I would definitely stay again

Absolutely loved every single minute we stayed for 10 nights in this ground floor apartment and it had everything we needed, it’s so clean and spacious and the view from front window is stunning, the weather was perfect so made good use of the patio , felt quite sad when holiday ended but will definitely be returning .

The view was amazing, near to local amenities and beach walks for the dog, but it was quite cold and we found slugs in the living area and the kitchen.

Many thanks for your review. I am so sorry you found the property cold. We are always happy for guests to contact us if there are any problems so we can sort them out and so that it doesn't spoil their holiday. There is a thermostat dial in the bedroom which can be turned up and also the fire in the living room to top it up. But I will ask the cleaner to check the temperature as well for the future. I was concerned to hear about the slugs. This has never happened before but I am grateful you have drawn our attention to it. We have had a lot of wet weather recently and they must have found a way in so we need to find it and seal it up. Again I'll alert the cleaners. The apartment was perfect for 2 of the party who have problems walking as once up the two single steps to get in everything was on one level. The view from the bay window was beautiful.With the weather we had we were able to take advantage of the patio area at the front the one down side was there was only 3 chairs and there was 4 of us staying at the property. All in all we had a lovely holiday.

The beauty of the North Sea

Coffee on the private patio whilst enjoying the beauty of the North Sea on a sunny spring morning is truly living “in the moment”. The space was impeccable and appliances fairly modern while the old world charm of the decor echoed a simpler, more authentic life of vacation by the sea. The internet was a bit spotty at the back of the abode, but that meant truly stepping off the grid and enjoying serenity not always available in the hustle of every day life. A secure location in a very secure building provided peace of mind. The owners supplied all the pertinent information, as well as local points of interest and transportation options. Easily walkable to charming shops, restaurants, and pubs. And, of course, the Beach!

Perfect position on Filey Bay

All good, think it might be useful to specify key safes are outside the front door ; we got stressed trying to open the ones inside the porch which were all redundant. Also, if you're soneone who needs wifi reception, the back of the flat - bedrooms - have very intermittent reception. Otherwise we all felt very happy there, thankyou.

Excellent position

Unfortunately we had problems opening the front door as did the people in the other apartment. The white door into the living room was very dirty with finger marks I had to clean it. The area outside the back door was dirty and uncared for. There was a trail of slime on the carpet indicating a snail had crawled across it. The position was fabulous and with a little extra care could be a fabulous apartment.

I spent my childhood holidays in Filey and my brother and myself have many happy memories of these times. I introduced my husband to Filey and again with our five children we had some lovely holidays especially when my parents came as well. We are now introducing our grandchildren to Filey and hopefully they will love it like we do. Perhaps in our dotage they will repay the compliment and take us with them.

It was always my dream to own a property in Filey and I am lucky to have achieved this in such a superb location.
As my dad would say when he sat at the window "best spot in Filey"
