Chalet Sokol is a luxury 4 bedroom ski chalet in Bulgaria's best known and established ski resort of Borovets. The Chalet, furnished to a high standard, has a cosy contemporary feel throughout and sleeps up to 9 people in 2 king bedrooms and 2 twin bedrooms, one with an extra truckle bed.The two king bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms and there is a main bathroom with bath/shower. Crisp white bed linen and soft towels are provided in all bedrooms and bathrooms.

Designed over 3 floors Chalet Sokol has an open plan top floor with a comfy lounge, dining area and well equipped kitchen providing a great space for groups of friends and families to relax and socialise in after a day in the mountains. The cozy lounge area with its warming open fire has a 47" LCD TV, DVD player, ipod doc and a balcony with stunning views of the mountains and Borovets pistes. Logs for the fire are provided free of charge.

The chalet also has its own sauna, a cloakroom for ski/hiking gear, a boot cupboard and three sledges for guests to use.

During the ski season the resort operates a frequent shuttle service back and for to the ski slopes (£3.50pp/day) and can be booked at the resort reception every day.

Guests will also have free use of a heated indoor pool, sauna and hot tub open throughout the ski season only.

The Bistro and bar, also open in winter, offer a great menu of local and international dishes at great value for money prices.

In the summer guests can use sun loungers, umbrella's, comfortable seating and a hot tub in the resorts central courtyard to relax and recharge after days of exploring the stunning surroundings.

A small shop selling all the holiday essentials - milk, bread, butter, cheese, water, biscuits, crisps, beer, wine etc. etc. is open all year round.

We can organise airport transfers in winter when a car is not necessary, as well as ski packages including lessons and or equipment hire and lift passes.

For summer holidays we can recommend many wonderful places to visit from Lake Beaches to outdoor Spa Pools or hiking expeditions to the world famous Rila Lakes.

Cosy, spacious chalet with nearby bistro & pool.

The property was spotless, warmly and welcomingly decorated and really comfortable. The accommodation was perfect for our families; 2 young (kids age 5 - 11) families of 5 fitted in with ease. We really enjoyed going to the pool and bistro, and found the convenience of the shop a God send. The shuttle service to the resort worked well, and we absolutely loved Borovets. The ski package was excellent value with the quality of instruction such that the kids were all competent to excellent by the end of the week. The little ones got on well in the ski kindergarten too. Overall, just simply fantastic. We feel very lucky to have had such a wonderful holiday.

Enjoyable Stay

This was our first skiing holiday in Borovets and we had a really good time. We’ve been skiing in some of the upmarket places in Europe and although there are less slopes here we still had plenty to do. Chalet was perfect for us and plenty of shuttle’s to the slopes and back again. Thanks

Great Holiday

The chalet is located 15-20 mins drive from the centre of Borovets in a quiet and picturesque forest location. The reception staff and drivers were excellent in arranging shuttle bus transfers to/from resort ( run every 40 mins). We used lockers in resort to store ski equipment overnight. The chalet provided everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Cheryl, the property owner, gave excellent communication and useful advise / tips pre-holiday (ski hire, lessons , transfers, shopping and restaurants etc.). Borovets is a lively and friendly resort with plenty of bars and restaurants to enjoy, at reasonable prices. The skiing was excellent with good snow conditions. The lift systems tend to split into 2 largely separate areas which requires planning when getting to lessons / meeting up on time. An enjoyable holiday, some great memories with friends and family ...... we would return. Thank You.

2 Parties Celebrating a family member 50th Birthday, arrived late in the evening to a roaring log fire. Amazing homely surroundings and views of the ski slopes, facilities were great and very clean. Lovely plump pillows & white crisp bedding, Washing machine available too, Sauna was amazing after a long day skiing. On site facilities were great, jacuzzi and warm swimming pool. The most memorable thing were the evenings sat by a log fire looking out the floor to ceiling views of the beautiful sunsets and pine trees, most definitely will be returning nxt yr.... P.S the shuttle bus staff were excellent and patient couldn’t recommend them enough.

Perfect !!!

The chalet is perfect .we had our first family skiing holiday and our host really went the extra mile to ensure our trip went smoothly. suggesting places to eat ,and helping with our transfers and skiing lessons. Fab stay in a fab chalet

We had a brilliant week in this chalet. Right from the moment we enquired about booking, our host was super-helpful and friendly. She gave us comprehensive information in order to plan our trip, as well as loads of tips and advice to ensure we were able to make the most of our holiday. The free daily transport to and from Borovets (approximately a 10 minute journey) was reliable and easy to arrange. The use of the communal pool and sauna facilities was a bonus too. The chalet was well-equipped and the views from our top balcony were stunning. The bedrooms in the chalet were lovely and warm and we enjoyed having our own private sauna. We hope to return next season!

Cosy Chalet

Nice, cosy chalet just next to the main complex that has a pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Well equipped, with a log fire that comes in handy after a day skiing. It is about 15 minutes from the main resort with transfers every 40 minutes that you can book in advance. Cheryl, the owner, was very helpful and responded to any queries straight away.

Nice accomodation

We (family with two kids) spent here 5 days. The accomodation is really nice and very well furnished. The kids loved the playground. The Chalet is well situated for some trips in the lovely natur of the Rila mountains (10 min to Borovets but the road ist not the best). Cheryl was very friendly an gave us many helpful recommendations what we can do the time there. We really enjoyed our time at the chalet.

The owner Cheryl was great to deal with answered all our questions and was quick to respond ,the staff at the complex were extremely friendly and helpful (Yvonne even got us a turkey for Christmas Day and put in the chalet ready for us!)there is a Lidl in samakov which was great to stock up although there is a shop on the complex for essentials.the chalet was extremely well equipped and comfortable the layout was perfect for us as it was myself my husband 3 children and both sets of parents!A open fire with free logs was great on cold days to curl up with a hot chocolate in hand!fantastic position with beautiful views the free bus shuttle into town was great,safe drivers/vans!i don’t ski myself but the chalet is ideally located for skiers about a 10 minute journey into borovets with its many ski slopes,and sledging which my children loved!i wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will hopefully be back in the future 🙂

The chalet is in a peaceful setting with amazing mountain views. Clean and tidy, with a homely feel. We stayed for a week in August and enjoyed exploring the local area - the owners had left a list of places to go/things to do, and Vesi on reception was also helpful. We'd stay here again

Perfect place to relax.

The chalet is in a quiet and peaceful location, the surroundings are stunning with great views from the balconies. The service from reception was very good, they organised free regular bus transfers to and from the town (10 mins away). The reception/restaurant/shop/leisure centre is 30 second walk away from the chalet. The complex swimming pool was warm and the hot tub and sauna was very welcoming after a day of skiing. The chalet was spacious and very comfortable for our party (3 couples). We were all impressed with how warm the building was, great little heaters in each room and an amazing log fire (with plenty of free logs supplied). The bedrooms have plenty of wardrobe space and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, but we ate out every day (we recommend everyone to head into Borovets resort for some good food, good beer and good atmosphere). The lounge was perfect to chill in, the ipod docking station and dvds provided were great for lazy afternoons in front of the fire. We used the sledges provided (great fun on a good walk out around the forest). The chalet overall is inviting, clean, modern and warm. We all enjoyed relaxing here and would not hesitate to come back again. Borovets is fantastic, everyone was friendly and inviting. The skiing was great and can accommodate all abilities.

VERY DIFFERENT

A very pleasant experience, quite different from what we expected. We went for a rest and quietude and that is what we got. The location is a litle remote but the chalet proved to be the ideal. Many of us enjoyed the private suana in the chalet and the log fire with logs provided was a warming experience we willl remember for a long time. Many thanks to the owner Cheryl who made sure things were just right for our holiday.

We work and live in the UK but try to spend as much time skiing in Bulgaria as our busy lives will allow.

My Husband and I both work in home furnishings and accessories and we wanted to create a luxury contemporary interior with all the mod cons and a high level of comfort to relax in at the end of the day. The views from the chalet are stunning and nothing beats relaxing on the balcony with a glass of something chilled in the summer or some warming mulled wine in the winter.

Why they chose this property

Borovets is a great alpine ski resort and the peaceful location of the Chalet surrounded by pine forests with views of the Rila mountains and pistes is breathtaking. A short 3.5km drive into the centre of Borovets, and you will find a bustling lively town with great bars and restaurants, offering excellent skiing in the winter and mountain biking, hiking and horse riding in the summer.

What makes this property unique

The resorts Bistro is Borovets best kept secret and we have enjoyed some great meals next to the roaring log fire.

After a long days skiing our daughter loves playing in the pool while we "chill" in the hot tub!!
