We fell in love with this beautiful cottage and are already thinking of coming back next year. The house lies in a quiet hamlet about 10 minutes east of Meschers, set back from the main road. The garden, enclosed by tall hedges, is a peaceful, private oasis with plenty of space for kids to run and play. The pool feels huge since it's all yours, is well maintained, and the cover offers peace of mind with small children (once you master the manual!).The main house has a spacious living/dining area with a very well-equipped kitchen, a double bedroom, and a bathroom. The annex, accessible via a sunroom with another dining area, offers an additional double bedroom, a twin room, a second bathroom, a separate toilet, and a utility room. All rooms were clean and practically furnished. We ate every meal outdoors under the shaded pavilion with a charcoal grill.Communication with our host Dianne was warm and helpful — she responded promptly and solved a plumbing issue quickly. Thank you again, Dianne, you have been a perfect host!If anything, we missed mosquito screens — kids forgot to shut doors, so evening mosquito hunts became routine. Quiet fans helped, but we couldn’t fully adjust. I understand that installing window screens isn't feasible in this house because of the shutters, which then couldn't be closed from the inside. In short: a well-equipped, peaceful, and charming holiday home with a touch of luxury at a fair price. Perfect for families or a group of friends.
