Beautiful Quiet Rural Character Cottage In The Heart Of Cornwall.

The barn was completely renovated in 2014 and upstairs it offers a new fully-equipped kitchen-diner and large lounge with vaulted ceilings and views over the surrounding countryside. Downstairs there are two bedrooms- a King and a twin, which can be joined to form a super-king bed on request. There is also a new modern bathroom with an extra-wide bath. Outside there is ample private parking, small garden and seating area. BBQ. Fernleigh Barn is situated on the edge of the owner’s small-holding and is run in an ecologically-responsible fashion. Central heating and hot water is supplied by a Biomass pellet boiler (Renewable heat generation). The electricity supply is from 100% renewable resources. High chair, travel cot and stair gate on request. Children are welcome. No pets. Outside tap for rinsing off beach things and surf boards/kayaks. Super-fast free Fibre WIFI. Book of local attractions.

A lovely cottage, ideally situated between the north and south coast of Cornwall. Very well equipped and maintained. The owners are extremely helpful and provided clear communications ahead of the stay. This is the only holiday home we have ever been to where we could happily live!

Perfect for exploring!

This was great to explore the area. My mum , my brother and myself were down to revisit places my late dad and mum used to love to visit. The converted barn was lovely. I was really tired after driving down from the north west and the hosts were really patient with me when I asked for help.

Beautifully clean cottage with great facilities in the heart of the countryside. Beds were so comfortable that my two young kids slept through the night! Peaceful cottage.

We came to Cornwall for the week to visit friends and hike. The cottage was perfect for us. We loved the quiet, rural location. It is very comfortable and well equipped. Close to Truro and beautiful hikes along the coastline and at National Trust properties. It was lovely to be able to sit outside as we were very fortunate with a week of perfect weather. We definitely hope to return next year.

Great location

Perfectly placed for exploring. We were able to visit some of the beautiful beaches on the North Coast - Chapel Porth, Godrevy etc, as well as the Roseland and Falmouth. The children really enjoyed a trip to the Seal Sanctuary at Gweek. The barn was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We didn't meet/weren't greeted by the owners, who live adjacent, but I assume we could have contacted them easily if we needed to.

Very Relaxing

The house is very well equipped and spacious. One piece of kitchen appliance we found upon arrival which was not on the website was a freezer, this well filled with my love of ice cubes! The bathroom was clean with a rainfall shower head and a deep bath. large lounge with plenty of setting for a family. table and chairs outside so you can enjoy the countryside.....and Claud the owners friendly cat. Defiantly will return.

Amazing property - a home from home

Just as described. Upon arrival I couldn't believe that this place was going to be our home for the week. It's just beautiful 😍. We e usually caravan, so it was lovely to have our own washing machine, and space to relax on an evening (or on a rainy day - which unfortunately we did get!). We even managed to dry soggy shoes on the radiators after a walk in torrential rain. The location is perfect for exploring most of Cornwall. The hosts were great - there when we needed them, but we were left very much to our own devices. Definitely recommend, and if we decide to visit Cornwall again, we would definitely return to this property. Thank you!
