About this property

Family friendly bungalow near the sea

Teylu Lowen is a "home from home" bungalow in a quiet rural location near the sea. The bungalow is perfectly placed to visit the Eden Project, the Poldark Mine, Minack Theatre or Flambards. There are cycle paths, golf courses, beautiful beaches and coastal paths all just a few minutes drive away. The local pubs are friendly and serve excellent food.

We recognise that many families prefer to relax in the warm evenings with a glass of wine/beer and, perhaps, play a game of darts or table tennis so we made sure the bungalow had these along with gravity loungers and a bench with parasol.

The bungalow has a number of accessible features including step free access, and a wet room with a shower seat.

The bungalow has one security camera at the front door facing the front gate.

Love this property!

Our 3rd time staying at this lovely bungalow. The property is spacious and spotlessly clean and in a quiet area. We always feel so relaxed here. The back garden is private and very secure for dogs and children. Would highly recommend.

Very good Bungalow. Has everything you require for a comfortable holiday. Enclosed garden safe for our 2 dogs and lovely to sit in. Local shops, pub, fish and chip shop all within 5/10 minutes walk. Also park nearby to walk dogs. We hope to stay here again soon From, Mary and John.

Another great holiday

This was our second visit to this very clean and comfortable bungalow, a real home from home. Great for local dog walks (especially to the pub) and the beach is only 5 mins away by car. Great location to get anywhere, bakery in Portreath is great for parties and Sunday lunch at the Old Quay House in Hayle is amazing. We will be back, Sonia, Dave and Bailey 🐶

Idyllic holiday home

We loved going back to Sarah & Ian’s property in Illogan; it is absolutely ideal for our holiday needs. It’s spotlessly clean, comfortable & has everything you need for your stay whether you are having days out or just staying at the property. The enclosed garden is brilliant if you have dogs or just spending time outside. The property is ideally situated for going places on both the north & south coast. We loved spending time in Tehidy woods & on the beach. There are plenty of dog friendly beaches around. Sarah & Ian were helpful in offering suggestions as to where we could go and were very welcoming. We would highly recommend this property, it’s our second visit and we certainly would consider going again. Thank you Sarah & Ian

Great property - What a find!

A fantastic property, spotlessly clean and with everything you can possibly need for a home-from-home stay. Good communication with owners, the welcome pack of tea, coffee and milk was a lovely thought, comfortable beds, and a lovely garden (though the weather wasn't brilliant when we visited). A lovely quiet location but within easy access of lots of places to visit - from the local beach at Portreath (and the great fish & chip shop there), from Padstow to St Ives to Lands End and the wonderful Mousehole and Mevagissy on the south coast. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay again if we're down that way. Thank you.

Lovely Bungalow

This is 3rd time of visiting bungalow. nice homely feel, everything you need. Comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. Secure garden for dog. Garden recliners are great if you are lucky to get good weather, which we did. Local shops, pub and good chip shop nearby. Handy position for exploring Cornwall. Owners are very easy to contact if you need to.

Such a great find!! Loved the bungalow

Great location very central, able to travel to so many places easily. Was very quiet and private but has a pub, boots & mini morrisons 2 minute walk away. Tehidy woods & Porthtreath beach are also so close which our dog loved! The bungalow was immaculately cleaned for our arrival and having fully enclosed front and rear gardens was great for the dog. Everything we needed was provided, washing machine was handy as we were lucky to be able to extend our stay as we didnt want to leave! Will definitely return as great to find accommodation that except dogs in such a beautiful village so close to all the coastal spots we love.

Lovely dog friendly bungalow near the sea

We had a lovely week’s holiday in this well equipped bungalow near the seaside. The hosts were great at keeping in touch with us prior to our holiday and were informative and responsive to any queries we had. We did appreciate that, thank you. The bungalow was a dream for our family, my husband, me, our dog and a puppy. The dogs really enjoyed the secure back garden. Sarah and Ian also had a crate, dog bed and water bowls which we could use, this was really thoughtful. The location of the bungalow is superb, not far from wonderful beaches, including our favourite at Perranporth, nearby Tehidy Woods and easy access to places like Truro and Falmouth. Would highly recommend this bungalow and hosts Sarah and Ian. We wished we’d booked a longer stay 😆

Property in good location but needs updating

The location of the property is very good. Good sized garden for my dog. The wet room is ideal for my disabled daughter, but the beds are not suitable for people with disabilities. They are too soft. The sofas are not very comfortable, the tv is very dated the chairs in the dining area need cushions as without they are not comfortable. I have been before and found it to be very disappointing this time. Overall the property is in need of a complete update Would have benefited if the owner had got in touch before we arrived not after as I could have taken my own pillows and not relied on there being enough as we only had one each.

Although I now live in the Midlands, I grew up in Cornwall and my family still live just 5 minutes drive from the bungalow. My sister is close at hand if required.

Why they chose this property

The bungalow is close to my family and a few short minutes from the A30 so it's a perfect base to explore Cornwall. It is also just 5 minutes walk from Tehidy Country Park which is an ideal spot to take our dog for a walk. It’s very central for most of Cornwall with St Ives just 20 minutes drive away and the Eden Project and Padstow 30-40 minutes away.

What makes this property unique

Before I bought this property I could not find affordable accessible, dog friendly holiday accommodation with the home from home feel. The property has a large private back garden, table tennis and darts to keep you entertained at home while being a perfect launchpad for all Cornwall's tourist attractions, beaches coastal paths and golf courses.
