Exclusive penthouse apartment in a brand new development in the center of ulverston. It's very spacious approximately 225 square meters, with an open living, dining, kitchen area. It has two super king size bedrooms and a double room with double sofa bed. It has two large bathrooms with an additional cloakroom. The furnishings are specifically chosen for the penthouse environment, but still practical and comfortable for exclusivity and entertaining. It has sea views over Morecambe bay and south lakes hill views. I also have other properties available in the town.

Great apartment in the middle of Ulverston. Very clean, really well equipped and spacious. Karen extremely helpful and communicative throughout the stay. Would highly recommend.
Karen was amazingly helpful when we thought we might have an issue with petrol, could not ask for more and great penthouse flat!

Good location just outside the Lake District, nice town
Very spacious, and well kitted out apartment, especially the kitchen - definitely the best one I've stayed in for self-catering. The top floor is a little oddly arranged, being all open plan due to the roof beams I suspect (including bedroom & bathroom!), and I felt this could have been better highlighted in the details. It didn't really matter too much.
I was disappointed that the sofa bed wasn't made up when we arrived, but this may have been our fault for not stipulating who was staying (perhaps this needs to be asked specifically in the booking process). But there were plenty of spare sheets, pillows, duvets, covers, towels etc., so not a big issue.
My biggest issue with the apartment was that it is quite noisy, especially on the upper floor where the master bed is. Not sure why as all the windows were double glazed and we shut them at night, but traffic and sea gulls clearly audible nonetheless. So, not great for light sleepers I would say.
The location was ideal for us, in a small town with amenities very close by and great to walk up the hill to the monument for a fantastic view.
Karen was extremely helpful for the couple of queries that we had and reacted very quickly to get things put right, so I cannot fault her as a host. She didn't even mind being called up when she was clearly away having a break herself, so thank you Karen!

Surprised how much we loved the floor plan, convenient location too.
We loved this open floor plan with the master suite open plus 2 bedrooms (one an office with pullout sofa) downstairs, very private. Great bathtub, kitchen, views, location, etc. Super clean and cool design overall. We would definitely like to stay here again in the future. It was a little loud from town traffic one of the weekend nights, but the plusses outweighed this.

Stunning penthouse
I have stayed in this property a few times, when I first arrived I was wowed by the space and contemporary design. I've never seen a property like it. The views are amazing and it feels like new. It's furnished and equipped to a high standard. The wifi is fast. It's comfortable and the location is perfect within 5 mins walk to reach everything in the town center. I would definitely stay here again.

Penthouse - Tops!
Coming from Asia and Spain ..., we were all taken away by the views we get from the windows. Be it rain or shine, looking out from the kitchen, living bay window seat we can enjoy the sights and sounds of the town. This Penthouse unit is as high as you can get in Ulverston and offers a truly unique stay.
The 2 floors gave us lots of comfortable space. The place is as per description; clean, modern and tastefully furnished. Guests who visited us were amazed = this apartment is better appreciated in person and they wished they were staying with us!
The well-equipped kitchen and spacious dining area makes cooking and dining a joy and we spent many happy hours there. Shopping for groceries and retail therapy are easily accomplished with the various shops around the corner. On Thursdays and Saturdays, the markets stalls are up where fresh produce and items are offered at really good prices.
Just within walking distance are Cafes, tea houses, restuarants and pubs which offer different cuisines - hearty local, Chinese, Thai, Italian, Fusion, etc. Our favourite is the World Peace Cafe - not just for healthy vegetarian meals, cakes and beverages ...but service with a smile. If you have time do check out their meditation classes.
Highly recommended for travellers who value quality self catering apartments with good customer service provided by owner - Karen. We really enjoyed staying here and will come back again!
Belle and friends.

Fantastic Penthouse
The Penthouse in Ulverston is a fantastic place to stay. It is a very modern, spacious apartment spread over 2 floors with a spiral staircase.
It is well equipped for self-catering with everything you need.
The location couldn't be better whether you are there for a holiday in the lake district or working in the area.
The landlady (neighbour) is fantastic and will always be on hand to meet and greet you or if you need anything during your stay.
Would highly recommend it for any stay..

Stunning
A truly stunning, open plan showcase at the very top, with incredible views over Ulverston rooftops as far reaching as Morecambe Bay. The perfect social place to stay with friends for a special occasion (which we did). All the facilities you could hope for, a genial host & everything you could possibly need on your doorstep.
I can't recommend it enough.

The Queens - Truly A Location Sensation!
Summer 2015 @ Ulverston - Staying at The Queens certainly was special! The "ABC" of it sums it up pretty well...
A - Aesthetics and Accessibility
The Queens beckons as a beautifully restored and renovated stately landmark - situated at the corner of Cavendish and Market Street. We really love the architecture, the artful and tasteful way it has been lovingly revamped into modern units. We are just mere steps away from retail shops, eateries, grocers, the post office, ATM machines, etc. Public transport is within walking distance : 5 mins walk to the bus stop and 15 mins to the train station. Taxis are easily available. Mobility is not an issue. And if you drive, the scenic lakes are just short rides away.
B - Big On Space and Value
You will be pleasantly surprised once inside. It is bright, airy and bigger than you imagine. Living space is well planned and outfitted with clever placement of simple, modern furniture pieces and appliances. What you get is lots of room for everyone to chill out on 2 floors. You will also find everything you need neatly tucked away in their rightful places. Self-catering? Definitely a yes!
C - Comfort and Convenience
Comfortable beds and sofa provides ample rest and sleep...it offers the comfort of a home away from home. The facilities is as described and upon arrival, everything is new and sparkling clean. For travellers like ourselves, it equates to convenience.
Karen is a wonderful owner with good customer service. Her passion and flair just cant be missed! We have recommend her to many of our friends. And we will stay at the Queens for Summer 2016!

Lovely, modern apartment
The flat is lovely, modern and bright, and is clean and well maintained. It's right in the centre of town within a couple of minutes of a supermarket, pubs and restaurants. I'd definitely recommend it as a place to stay on the edge of the Lakes.

cracking apartment in wonderful Lake District town
We stayed in a cracking, stylish apartment with all facilities and everything you needed, nicely done with a range of lovely features. The apartment is in the heart of a lovely town (yet a quiet haven) on the edge of the Lake District full of great eateries, pubs, tea shops, cinema, and surrounded by wonderful walks including the start of the Cumbria way. A perfect base to the Lake District. Highly recommended!

Modern, Clean, Secure and Light Filled
Karen was an excellent host, the property was exactly as described (even better!) and I enjoyed my stay thoroughly. The apartment had excellent amenities - tv, washer, drying rack, ironing, cooking, tea/coffee pot, etc. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Easy access to downtown Ulverston, shopping, restaurants & sites. The housekeeping was immaculate as well. Great place!

I was raised in Ulverston and love it. The town has a many attractions and a really friendly community. Everything can be accessed easily in the town and there are many lovely walks to do. It's wonderful to be so close to the English Lake District and the seaside. I love cycling and walking in the beautiful countryside as well as enjoying many of the local foods and beverages. I have other properties available should other families and friends be joining you.
Why they chose this property
The property has a central location handy for shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. The property is a grand Victorian building which has been developed to several units to a high standard. The upper floor has under floor heating and downstairs has a conventional central heating system.
