Thank you so much for your review Prasanthi, I’m so happy you had a lovely stay and you liked my house.
The house was spotlessly clean when we arrived, and we were delighted with the quality of the accomodation, which had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable, with modern bathrooms on each level.
Our teenagers were pleased with reliable WiFi and smart TVs. Within walking distance are local shops and an excellent fish and chip shop at the end of the street. We had an amazing time exploring the Lakes. A hike up Silver Howe from Grasmere was a particular favourite.
We needed to pay for parking if we stayed in Ulverston during the daytime, but the carpark is very near, and free between 6pm and 8am.
Thank you so much Karen for a lovely holiday 😊

Thank you so much Rachel for your detailed, lovely review. It is much appreciated and I’m sure very helpful to future guests. Thank you so much for choosing to stay here and thank you for being wonderful guests.
We enjoyed very much Karen's house in Ulverston.
The location was ideal, because sufficiently far from the crowd massed in Bowness on Windermere and not far from nothing nice : steam train station at 10 mn, South of windermere lake in less than 30 Mn, sea at 15 mn...
Ulverston is a charming little city we discovered with pleasure. The house is situated 5 mn by foot to restaurants, supermarket and max 10 mn walk from Laurel and Hardy museum (worth to visit ! my little ones discovered the boys there - 7, 5, 4 and 2 years old - and now they ask for seeing their films frecuently and laugh a lot.)
The house itself was very very clean and welcoming. Many appliances usefull : washing machine, dishwasher, toaster, italian coffee machine, empty fridge and freezer (very nice to put our things inside straight after arriving), boiler.
The beds are very comfortable and the decoration of all rooms is very charming.
Karen, that we didn't see, was very helpful and accesible during our written conversations. She gave all the useful informations and more. We really thank you for having us in her lovely home.
We loved being in Cumbria.
