About this property
Three Bridges - a cottage that sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms
If you are looking for a conveniently located and well-furnished two-bedroom house that provides exceptional value, Three Bridges ticks all the boxes. The owner has completed a full refurbishment of the property in mid-2025 to create a comfortable property that is very well equipped and smartly presented.
Here, you will find a property that is a bit of a surprise when you step inside. The property goes quite a long way back from the front, so it has good space all around with plenty of room for four people to spread out. The property is situated on the main A590 route between Ulverston and Barrow, approximately 1 mile from the centre of Ulverston. There is a traditional pub serving food 10 minutes away, a garden centre with a café just a few hundred metres away, and both Aldi and M&S Foodhall are within walking distance.
Step in from the front door and take your pick of two areas in which to relax. There is a small lounge with a Smart TV at the front of the house, and further back is the large open-plan area. The open-plan zone features a large sofa, an easy chair, and a coffee table, as well as a dining table that can be moved, if required, to accommodate four diners in comfort. Next is the kitchen, which looks the business, featuring all new fixtures and appliances, including oak worktops and ample storage space. Beyond the kitchen is the house bathroom, featuring a bath, an electric shower over a P-shaped bath, a basin, a toilet, and a towel radiator. Upstairs are the good-sized bedrooms. At the back of the house, away from the roadside, is the master king-size bedroom, and at the front, the roadside bedroom has full-size twin beds.
To the rear of the property, the small yard has been laid with slate chippings and has a small table and chairs. Beyond the back gate is a communal small strip of grass and a charcoal barbecue. There is a dedicated off-road parking area 30 metres from the house.
It is important to note that this property is situated on a busy road. The location can be seen here - Google Street View. There is good double glazing throughout, and the rear of the property (the majority of the house) is away from the roadside. Road noise is audible in the front lounge and twin bedrooms, but the double glazing significantly reduces its audibility.
