About this property
Lyth Valley View at Broom Bank - Gorgeous Views, Dog-friendly
Lyth Valley View is a newly refurbished annexe with its own entrance and private patio/garden area overlooking the picturesque Lyth Valley and Morecambe Bay. It's a fabulous gem for a romantic getaway in beautiful surroundings.
This eco-friendly Brigsteer self-catering cottage is adjoined to the Owners property, yet it benefits from a private and secluded patio area with views of the Lyth Valley. It comprises a fully-equipped open-plan kitchen, dining area & a living area with a log burner and a large glass sliding door that overlooks the slate-paved patio and the valley. Upstairs is a spacious double bedroom and a large bathroom with a separate shower and bathtub.
The village of Brigsteer is ideally placed to provide a central base from which to explore the Lake District. Brigsteer is popular with cyclists, so if you enjoy cycling, you will enjoy the vast network of quiet country lanes. Just a short walk from the cottage is the Wheatsheaf Pub, with indoor and outdoor seating. Well-known for its excellent food and great service, you'll be spoilt for choice should you decide to eat out locally. The market town of Kendal is just 5 miles away from where you will find supermarkets and plenty of shops, cafes and bars. Market days are Wednesday and Saturday.
Lake Windermere and Bowness are 9 miles away, where you can hop onboard one of the Cruise Boats that link you to Lakeside and the Lakes Aquarium and the Haverthwaite Railway, or Ambleside at the north end of Lake Windermere.
Ground Floor:
Kitchen with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster, kettle, sink and a fridge with freezer compartment.
The living area has a two-seat sofa, log-burner, wall-mounted flat-screen Freeview TV, and sliding patio doors to the patio.
Outside patio (two steps down from the door) with outside furniture and a gas BBQ - lovely space to relax and take in the lovely view.
Upstairs: (accessed by carpeted stairs with handrail)
Double bedroom with bedside tables, wardrobe space and drawers. A large window provides lots of natural light.
Bathroom with a slate walk-in shower, freestanding rolltop bath, loo, basin and a wall-mounted heated towel rail.
Things To Note
One well-behaved dog is welcome to stay free of charge.
An eco-friendly ground-source heat pump provides heating and hot water.
