We had a good time at the cottage which was comfortable and well equipped.
We had a good time at the cottage which was comfortable and well equipped. It is in a good location for the lakes if you don't mind driving (Coniston about 30-40 minutes away) and there are locations along the coast from here worth a visit.

A simply amazing holiday cottage.
A simply amazing holiday cottage. So comfortable, warm, homely and dog friendly too. Our second time here and am sure it won't be our last. A great location to get to the western lakes or southern lakes, next to the beach and very quiet.Loved the views, huge windows, large sofas and the welcome basket.Only point of feedback was that we had to clean the fridge and a number of crockery items when we arrived, so could look into this.

beautiful well furnished cottage, quiet & very cosy. very little life in the town or in nearby Millom although suited me personally. Close enough to Lakes for a nice day out. I have no hesitation in saying Kingfishers Rest is highly recommended by my partner and myself.

Beautiful little cottage, spotless and absolutely everything you would need.
Beautiful little cottage, spotless and absolutely everything you would need. Very pleased that host was generous enough to have a good sky package. The view from the cottage was lovely and Haverigg beach is to die for but it is well worth walking the opposite way to Millom for the most beautiful expanse of lovely sand although when the tide is out the sea is a long way away. The welcome pack was most appreciated. Lovely holiday even with the weather being mixed.
Wonderful location, two minutes from the beach and local amenities, property clean and modern, very comfortable with everything provided.
A lovely welcome basket and fresh flowers in the vase.
We visit Haverigg a lot but this was the best accommodation that we have stayed at.
Thank you to the owner Catherine
