Wonderful luxury apartment, elegant and comfortable

Elegance and comfort are offered in this beautiful home. Great relax both indoor with very spacious and elegant spaces and outside with a large balcony with views range over the lake to the surrounding mountains. It is also available to guests a large garden with a large pool and spacious lounge area to relax and sunbathe without having to leave the house. The pool is shared with the owners of the house below which, however, are very discreet and away from home most of the day ("they have a prestigious clothes shop in Menaggio and work all the day").
The balcony is very large, with tables and chairs aplenty to enjoy a good meal or a breakfast or a glass of wine immersed in a stunning setting.
The living room is very large, with couches and armchairs and an additional table to eat. Bright with large windows overlooking the surrounding nature, is furnished with style and elegance.
The kitchen is also very elegant and equipped with everything you need, spacious and with plenty of natural light; It offers plenty of space for cooking and dining.
The bedrooms all enjoy their privacy and are in a position out of the rest of the house. In particular there are two large bedrooms that share an anteroom and a bathroom with spa bath. These two rooms have a master bedroom and a balcony, looking out towards the lake, taking in the morning sun.
There is also another room with two single beds that can be joined, spacious and airy enjoying the last sun of the day. This room has available a bathroom with shower, that overlooks the garden and pool.
Going down the stairs you can enjoy the garden, pool and a large area reserved for guests of the house, to relax and make some good swims.

Beautiful and Friendly

We have had a brilliant week at Menaggio! A wonderfullly spacious apartment with a view of lake Como. The bedrooms are large and roomy and the kitchen is well equipped. The living / dining area are comfortable and the balcony eating area was perfect for our family. Our son absolutely loved the pool as well as the playground opposite. We enjoyed exploring Menaggio, Varenna and Belaggio by boat as well as the stunning Villa Balbianello. We also popped into Switzerland to see the pretty Lugano. We would love to return one day!

Wonderful accommodation

Our first vrbo experience and we were absolutely delighted with this accommodation. It was incredibly comfortable, light, airy and spacious with the added bonus of a large swimming pool. Our hosts, Carlotta and her mother, Claudia were very friendly and helpful. A super stay in a beautiful part of Lake Como and we hope to return one day.

Old fashioned but great location

The decor is old fashioned with very old appliances, but everything works and was clean. Plenty of common spaces and the rooms were very comfortable. Great location - there's a lovely gelateria at the end of the road Carlotta and her mother were fantastic, quick responses and they made sure we have anything we needed :) We would definitely stay again!

Super accommodation in a great spot

We had a fantastic week at Casa Rosa. We were pleasantly surprised on arrival at how much bigger the property was than we thought it would be. It was lovely and clean and well equipped.The hosts are a lovely family who were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. The house is in a quiet spot with lovely views and we felt very safe. A short drive takes you to the stunning Menaggio with some lovely restaurants shops and easy access to the lake and other towns. Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderfull apartment with lots of style and charm - just like lake Como. The pool was wonderfull and we had it to ourself the whole week. The location is excellent with lots of things to do within a very short drive. Another nice feature is the local bar two minutes walk from the House serving great icecream and coffee :)

Beautiful spacious apartment

This very large three bedroom apartment with a great outdoor eating area, was perfect for our group of six. The apartment has everything you need including a refreshing pool. Mennagio is a great town with restaurants, cafes and shops. Easy to take ferry to other towns:Bellagio and Varenna. Would highly recommend this spot as a place to stay to explore Lake Como and surrounding areas.

This place was nice and clean! Gave it four stars because it didn’t have air conditioning and it was pretty hot! The owner, however, was nice enough to go out and buy an extra fan for one of the bedrooms.

Good but not quite perfect

We had a really enjoyable holiday on Lake Como. Depending on the type of holiday you are looking for, Casa Rosa is an excellent base, as you can reach all of the main attractions in the Como area (including a short drive over the mountains to Switzerland). The family who own the apartment are lovely and the overall experience of staying there is good, especially the large private pool area (accompanied by the friendly family dog!). You do need a car to stay in Casa Rosa as the apartment is located in a village called Croce which is a 7-8 minute drive into Menaggio town, via a steep winding road with no pavements. There are a few things that could potentially be better: the apartment is very well maintained & full of charm but it is a little bit dated, the balcony in the apartment should have an amazing view over the lake however it is almost completed blocked by the neighbours trees and there also is no air conditioning. 3 small fans are provided by the owners in the bedrooms but they didn’t really help with temperatures well over 30 degrees! All in all, Casa Rosa is good but not quite perfect.

Wonderful!!!!

We arrived to a very warm welcome from Carlotta after a long trip from Rome via train and car. We were all looking forward to a few days of relaxation in Lake Como & definitely got this at this at this wonderful apartment overlooking Menaggio. The place was extremely clean and had everything we needed and Carlotta was very quick to reply to any requests we had. There was plenty of room and it was very spacious for the six of us. There is a bar that sells alcoholic drink drinks, coffee, and ice cream a couple of minutes walk away which was nice to sit and watch the world go by. Approximately a 25 minute walk down into Menaggio where there are plenty of restaurants and shops to browse and a beautiful walk along the seafront, the village is really lovely and so glad we chose to stay here rather than Bellagio, which is really pretty but also very busy. The location of this property is ideal as it is up the hill side slightly out of the village and away from any noise and is also in walking distance to a lovely café and bakery in the next village called Codogna-Cardano. If you look on a walking app this will show you all the pathways around the area. Switzerland is about 30 minute drive away and it was lovely to lie by the pool and have a dip to cool off when we returned as the temperature was 28 to 30 and Nora the beautiful family dog would pop & say hello we thoroughly enjoyed it and would go again

Jolie Villa Rosa avec vue rêvée sur le Lac de Côme

Ein traumhafter Urlaub für die Familie

Casa Rosa erfüllt einfach alle Wünsche an einen gelungenen Urlaub. Hier wird ein großzügig geschnittenes, stilvolles, bis ins Detail liebevoll eingerichtetes Heim, Gästen, zur Verfügung gestellt. Zugegebenermaßen ist es etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber das macht auch den Charme aus und alles funktioniert einwandfrei. Der Blick von der das Haus Richtung See umgebenden Terrasse ist wunderschön, inklusive Abendsonne und tollen Mondaufgängen. Der Pool samt Besuch des Haushundes, der gerne Krauleinheiten entgegennahm, das I-Tüpfelchen. Auch das Parken ist dank eines per Fernbedienung zu öffnenden Tores und ausreichendem Platz sehr unkompliziert. Bedanken möchten wir uns für die unkomplizierte Abwicklung der An- und Abreise sowie die freundlichen Gesprächen und guten Tipps der Besitzerin, deren elegantes Bekleidungsgeschäft in Menaggio zudem ein Besuch wert ist. Wir hoffen sehr, das Casa Rosa noch einmal besuchen zu können. Arrividerci!

Urlaub total

Wir haben mit unseren 3 Kindern einen wundervollen Aufenthalt verbracht. Die Gastgeber sind überaus freundlich und die Wohnung ist super schön. Das Highlight ist der große Pool, wir waren fast jeden Tag schwimmen. Menaggio selbst ist tagsüber am besten mit dem Bus erreichbar. Die Bushaltestelle ist 2 Gehminuten von der Unterkunft entfernt. Wir haben jedoch auch viele tolle Ausflüge mit unserem Auto oder der Fähre unternommen (Kletterpark, Varenna, Bellagio, Seilbahn nach Pigra, Dongo, Domaso uvm). Toll ist auch die Möglichkeit in Menaggio ein Boot zu leihen (ohne Lizenz) und so einige Stunden auf dem See zu genießen. Für Familien ist diese Unterkunft zu 100% zu empfehlen😊

Maison à la décoration anglaise. La partie allouée aux voyageurs est l’étage supérieur de la maison. L’espace est grand. Terrasse très agréable où nous avons pris tous nos repas. La maison est très calme et plutôt bien placée.

Wonderful property for a holiday on Lake Como

The property is stylish and comfortable and has a living room and balcony with amazing views.. we could have happily stayed much longer. It was lovely to use the pool after a hot day exploring. Everything we need was there, even extras like washing up liquid, hand soap, tea, coffee etc. We would highly recommend it.

Wunderschöner Familienurlaub

Unser Urlaub als Familie war wunderschön, wir konnten toll entspannen und die Lage war perfekt um Wanderausflüge zu machen oder sich einfach die Städtchen in der Umgebung anzuschauen. Die Gastgeber waren immer hilfsbereit und man konnte ganz ungestört seine Zeit genießen.

Charmante und authentische Wohnung

Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber, grosszügig geschnitten, hat eine schöne Aussicht und verfügt über einen tollen privaten Pool, den wir Ende April aber noch gar nicht nutzen konnten. Die Wohnung kann aber auch polarisieren. Man muss wissen, dass es sich um ein echtes Vintage-Objekt handelt: Alles verblasste Noblesse auf dem Stand von vor 30 Jahren oder älter, mit klappernden Fenstern, abgenutzten Einbauschränken, klemmenden Küchenschubläden, verschlissenen Sofabezügen, wackligen Beistell- und Nachttischchen usw. . Die Bäder sind klein und unpraktisch. Für uns hat es gestimmt und wir würden auch wiederkommen. Aber es ist vielleicht nicht jedermanns Sache. Für 6 Erwachsene gibt es definitiv zu wenig Loungemöglichkeiten. Wir waren als Familie nur zu viert, was prima gepasst hat. Die Lage benötigt am besten ein Auto.

Herrlicher Blick über Menaggio und Comer See

Sehr gemütliche Wohnung mit Blick über den Comer See. Viele Ausflugsmöglichkeiten (wandern, Bellagio, Como) und Restaurants in der Nähe. Sehr nette Vermieter mit guten Tipps. Wir waren schon zum zweiten Mal da und kommen gerne wieder. Herzlichen Dank noch mal!

Sehr große persönliche Wohnung

Wir waren eine Woche als Familie mit 3 Kindern in Menaggio. Die Wohnung ist groß, sauber und persönlich eingerichtet. Der Blick ist toll, der Pool sehr schön groß und ungestört zu nutzen. Die Vermieterfamilie ist sehr sympathisch. Wir haben den Aufenthalt genossen.
