The apartment

The apartment is located in a quiet street in the fashionable district of Palermo Viejo between the vibrant areas of "Soho" and "Hollywood" which have become famous for fashion, design, boutique shops, restaurants and cafe culture. It is located close to the new "Distrito Arcos", a US$ 40 million development of boutique shops, restaurants with a focus on gastronomy, design and culture together with a planned cinema complex and stage for the performing arts. Palermo parks, botanical gardens, zoological gardens, polo club and horse-racing are just a short walk away.

The building is equipped with a range of amenities including 24-hour concierge & security, swimming pool and terrace, gymnasium, sauna, laundry, games room, bar-b-que area, communal lounge/function room and underground parking.

This luxury apartment is located on the 3rd floor and is light and airy with two balconies giving views over the garden and adjacent street and is furnished and equipped with every facility to meet the needs of the discerning traveller. The apartment is British owned and locally managed by an experienced English-speaking agent. A weekly maid service is provided for longer term rentals.

The apartment has a double bedroom and is also equipped with a single sofa-bed in the living room which can be used by a third person for short stays. It has air-conditioning, cable TV, free wifi, internet radio and internet telephone and rates rates include electricity, hot water & cleaning.


The Local Area

Buenos Aires has a temperate climate with average temperatures ranging from 94F (35C) in January to 50F (10C) in July.

The Winter is short and lasts June to August, although most days are still sunny. It is famous for the fine food, wines, fashion, friendly people and of course, Tango!

Uruguay is only one hour by boat from Buenos Aires making for an easy day or weekend trip, and the beaches of Mar del Plata, Punta del Este and Brazil are only a short hop.

Palermo

Located only 10 minutes by subway from the heart of the city, Palermo Viejo has hundreds of unique boutiques, restaurants, bars, cafes and shops in quiet tree-lined streets making it an ideal base from which to explore this vibrant city.

With the domestic airport only a short taxi-ride away, Palermo is also a great base from which to explore Argentinas diverse and fascinating regions from Iguazzu Falls, the Andean Northwest, Mendoza and the wine regions, Patagonia with its lakes, mountains and glaciers and Tierra del Fuego.

You can't ask for better Condo in BA All the amenties you may need + perfect location in Palermo Hollywood. VERY safe and exactly what you need for a stay in BA. I would stay again in a heartbeat

Delightful stay, ideal location.

Super apartment, comfortable and bright, and convenient location, close to parks, underground, restaurants and shops. In a busy, lively area which we loved, but at the same time enjoyed the birdsong and jasmine blossom in the tranquil gardens while relaxing in the pool. Thank you again to Mark, and to the staff at Menendez for being helpful and welcoming.

Great location/great space

The location is near subte/bus stops for getting to all the BA sites. Many parks and restaurants are in walking distance and the neighborhood is pleasant. The apartment is bright and clean, with a great balcony, many windows and good security. There is street noise with windows open, but just enough to feel like you’re in the city—which we enjoyed. It’s quiet and cool when A/C on and windows closed. The property owner was super helpful with information about arriving and check in, and very responsive overall. Enjoy this great space!

Compact flat with everything you need in the heart of Buenos Aires' best district

Everything we needed in a compact flat which felt surprisingly roomy, and perfect for our 2 week stay in the heart of Palermo. This apartment was clean and bright with plenty of natural light. The bed, a simple double, was comfortable, if a little on the small side for those (like us) who like to sprawl out; but there's a spare sofa bed in the living area. It’s well stocked with all necessary kitchen and living equipment (there were spare adapters, handy for us since we’d brought the wrong ones). The internet radio had a useful selection of radio stations saved in the memory (there we were in Buenos. Aires listening. to Classic FM) , and there's an excellent information leaflet with good tips. The apartment’s conveniently placed for the subway, shops, restaurants (2 very good ones within walking distance), parks and attractions, and though there’s a lot of traffic, you’re never far away from blossoming trees (purple Jacarandá and yellow Aromo while we were there), green areas and quiet side roads which makes it pleasant (and sometimes quicker) to walk and get to know the beautiful city. The grounds and pool were good to have the use of. We booked the BBQ for a family reunion and found there were plenty of tables and chairs and other facilities in the communal garden, making a very pleasant venue. The air conditioning works, though in late November (spring, the best season) we didn't need it. Mark replied very promptly and helpfully to our queries. A word. of warning: the plate glass doors leading to the garden area are kept so clean that a dozy person might try to walk through them -- both of us did it!

Why they chose this property

We loved this apartment as it is bright and airy with a double aspect overlooking the garden & street. The location is great - Palermo Hollywood is a great area to explore with lots of good restaurants & boutique shops and the Subte station is so close - making it easy to get to anywhere in the city. We love exploring the rest of Argentina too and the apartment is just a short taxi ride from Aeroparque airport giving access to the rest of Argentina, Uruguay, Chile and Brazil.

What makes this property unique

Having access to a garden and swimming pool in the heart of the city is a real luxury gives us a place to relax in the sun. If you want a larger open space, Palermo Parks are just a short walk away and the Botanical Gardens, Zoo, Polo Ground and Horse Racing Track are within easy walking distance. The apartment building is very safe, with 24 hour security and great amenities including a laundry, gym and sauna.
