Sir, thank you for submitting a review as it helps me understand and assists me in improving my place. As stated the a/c setting is clearly described in our house rules and policy. But please understand the Thermostat is not locked. So the setting is only a recommended one.This measure was taken at the advise of the A/C company that services my units. Past customers where setting the thermostat to 68 degrees and the unit would freeze. This would cause an inconvenience for the customer and i would incur service call and repairs cost. So in order to prevent future issues this new measure was adopted.

Thank you for you review as it will help me improve my vacation rentals. I just wished the issues would have communicated and i would have been given the opportunity to look into this during your 4 night stay as we had maintained good communication via text before the stay even as to exchanging fishing information. Yes we do have a policy on our temperature setting of 74. It is clearly stated on the rules and policies tab of our rental. I have made exceptions to this policy when customers voice there concerns. However, i do provide fans to move the air and aid in cooling fishermen down after a hot day out on the water. Furthermore, we have added a window unit to the attached room to assist in cooling it when mother nature turns up the heat. With regards to cleanliness and rodent issues noted. I have spoken with both the cleaing and pest control contracting parties and new measures will be set in place so this does not happen again as we strive to provide a clean, affordable and secure lodging. Bassmans Lodging has been in business since 2011 and in order to provide an affordable place to stay i have never been able to provide wifi free service and personally have never advertises as such. But i will look into this on the VRBO platform. Although rare, loud neighbors, nuisance complaints can be handheld by the proper authorities. Emergency phone numbers are posted on the front of the refrigerators doors in our rentals to include the sheriff’s department. Lastly, my family and i do travel and understand that even the nicest places cannot please 100% of it's clients but i will continue try. Best regards Raul Perez
