Grove Cottage a charming 1890 detached cottage, is quite simply a delight! Situated in Scalby a stunning village three miles on the outskirts of Scarborough. The village itself has two public houses and wonderful eating places for you to enjoy your stay.

Grove Cottage is refurbished to a high standard, offering spacious accomodation, together with an outside court yard where you can enjoy a pleasant drink in the evening or breakfast in the morning

Ground floor morning conservatory room, entrance hall cosy lounge with open fire. Excellent well appointed kitchen/dining room with modern integral appliances. Stairs leading to first floor single bedroom to the front, kingsize bedroom to the front and to the rear a double bedroom all beautifully appointed. Superbly fitted bathroom with shower

Great house, great location

First time weve stayed here and would certainly recommend. Grove Cottage is a lovely place and has plenty of space and a lovely enclosed garden. The host leaves little touches like bottle of prosecco, butter, milk and bread. The location is great for accessing Filey, Bridlington and Scarborough. Well worth a stay.

Lovely cottage

We only stayed for three nights but had a lovely time. We travelled by train to Scarborough and then taxi to the cottage and then used buses to visit various places which worked well. Plough Inn in Scalby village was excellent for dinner and the local shop very handy as in walking distance. Daisy’s tea room do very good breakfast ! We would definitely recommend the cottage .

A beautiful cottage, with everything you need. A real home from home. The back garden is very private and the house is immaculately clean. Hosts are very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Thank you for a stay to remember. First classs.

Great location in a beautifully appointed cottage.

The cottage is located on the main Scalby Road & I was concerned about traffic noise but the windows are double glazed & so this was not an issue. The layout of the cottage is great with a large lounge & lovely sunny courtyard. The kitchen was perfectly appointed & the welcome pack contained everything you initially needed. The main bedroom was very large, although the 2nd bedroom is a compact double. There is only 1 bathroom & 1 toilet. The beds were extremely comfortable & the décor luxurious. Free wi fi is provided & there is a Sonos music system. Scaly has lots of cafe's & pubs to eat in & are easy to walk to.We would definitely return.
