Child friendly gîte with shared pool in a beautiful countryside. The gîte is set on the edge of an unspoilt hamlet and offers guests comfort, privacy and tranquility and is a haven for your enjoyment.

Ideally situated for exploring the whole Dordogne area and all it has to offer and for walking, cycling, riding in the peaceful and tranquil surrounding countryside. We are popular with ramblers, cyclists, wine-tasters, walkers/hikers, bird-watchers and lovers of the natural world. Walking and mountain biking trails start on the doorstep. The moment you walk out the door you can begin a walk through the beautiful hilly landscape. All walks/bike rides are clearly signed and maps are available in your gîte

Completely renovated to an exceedingly high standard, the gîte has spacious rooms, and plenty of modern amenities to enhance your stay.

La Maison de Rebeyrat has three floors. The living room is on the ground floor and has a large open fireplace, ceramic tiled floor, satellite TV English channels and DVD player, Ipod docking station. French doors opening onto the veranda, where you can take your morning coffee and listen to the birds chirping.

Steps from the living room lead up to a modern, well equipped kitchen with a dining area. The kitchen is the ideal place to make use of your cooking talents with fresh products found in local markets. The kitchen has an electric cooker, fridge/freezer, toaster, and fitted units. The cosy dining area is an attractive focal point for your group to get together over dinner with a glass of wine. A patio door at the rear opens up to steps to the garden where there is a barbecue area.

The downstairs toilet is tiled, with a hand basin and a shower, and is off the passage that leads to the double bedroom. There is an attractive view of the countryside and the pool from the bedroom that creates a peaceful atmosphere.

At the top of the open stairs there is a large room with twin beds and a single bedroom. The bedrooms have chest of drawers, bed side tables and wardrobes. These are separated by a passageway that has a room with a toilet and hand basin.
Beds are made up upon your arrival, you just have to unpack your suitcases!

The flooring throughout, except where stated is wooden.

The pool (open 31st May - 30th Sept) is situated to the rear of the buildings. It is in a secluded private sun trap, with a lovely open aspect and views of the local wooded area. The pool has easy access by steps, with loungers and parasols for your comfort, pool-side lights and under-water illumination. It is shared with L'arbre Magnolia. It is cleaned and maintained on a daily basis, and is fully compliant with French law, including a safety alarm which has a code.
Our child friendly gite is ideal for families, with facilities onsite to amuse children of all ages. There is a ping pong table, pool table toys/games, and books from the library. There is so much land for children to run around freely and everyone to find their own private space to relax and unwind.

The rear enclosed garden, shared by both gites, has a gas bbq where you can enjoy outdoor dining at the table and chairs provided. You can even do a spot of stargazing as on a clear night every star in the milky way is visible.

La Maison de Rebeyrat is a fantastic location for families seeking an active yet relaxing holiday with something on offer for everyone, a good base to visit the many historic and other sites of interest in the area. These gîtes are ideal for groups of families or friends wanting to holiday together as the 2 independent gîtes can be rented together allowing you to maintain your privacy and still enjoy each other’s company whilst on holiday. The whole experience will provide fond memories that will last long after the holiday is over and will make you want to return.

This is true rural France, the pace of life is slow and conversation and gastronomy go hand in hand. Take your time purchasing local produce at one of the local markets and then linger over a relaxing meal in the evening.

You will be welcomed on arrival by the owners. We live on site but we will ensure that your privacy is guaranteed. However, we will be on hand, if required, to answer any questions, give you advice and recommendations about local activities and attractions, make reservations for you, and help to make your stay as relaxing as possible and memorable. The gîte is provided with an information pack in which, as well as describing life in the areas, we have gathered information about the local attractions, markets and recommended restaurants.
