Chalet Eigersunne is a cosy and cheerful 3 bedroom apartment on the 1st floor with breathtaking panoramic views of the Jungfrau region. A peaceful and quiet location, it's just a short easy walk to the centre of the family-friendly car-free village of Wengen.

At Chalet Eigersunne the mountains feel close enough to touch! They provide a picturesque backdrop to al fresco dining, relaxing or sunbathing on the large west-facing balcony. The chalet is a perfect example of Swiss Alpine style! The apartment retains this Alpine charm throughout in its traditional décor and comfortable furnishings.



The kitchen has a dishwasher and is fully equipped for all your cooking needs. The apartment is supplied with free WiFi and cable TV for downtime with the children. The stunning mountain setting combined with a cosy atmosphere make this apartment an appealing, budget-friendly option for a casual family holiday.

IMPORTANT: Wengen is a car-free mountain village with no direct road access! However, arriving by car is still easy. Simply park at the train station in Lauterbrunnen in the valley and take the 15 minute train ride up to Wengen. Trains run every 30 minutes until 8.30pm and then hourly. Taxis are available in Wengen to assist you to your chalet if required.



As part of your booking, a mandatory non-refundable damage waiver of CHF 35 is required. This waiver offers you protection against accidental damage during your stay, ensuring peace of mind without the need for a traditional refundable security deposit.

Comfortable beds, spacious living area and very nice terrace. The chalet was very clean and the kitchen fully equiped. The service from Wengen Apartments was outstanding! Thank you again, Julie and team!! Only one little thing: the sofas in the living area are not too comfortable.

The location was amazing. A few minutes walk up the hill from town but so worth it for the views from the balcony. The kitchen was well stocked and the space overall was sufficient for our family of 6. The only issue was the level of cleanliness was not what I would expect of any accommodation but especially not for the price we paid. I’m guessing the previous guest had a dog with them as there was dog hair all over the wood floors that got on our socks and clothes. I also found dirty underwear from a previous guest under one of the beds when I was checking for all of our belongings before we left. A more thorough clean would’ve made this a 5 star accommodation.

We take cleanliness very seriously, and the issues mentioned here are not acceptable or in line with the standard we expect for our apartments. We have followed up with our housekeeping team and reinforced our final inspection procedures, particularly for floors, under-bed areas, and pet-friendly stays. We are also always available to guests during their stay and would have been happy to send housekeeping back immediately had we been made aware of any concerns at the time. We appreciate the feedback and have taken it seriously. Our goal is always to provide a clean, comfortable, and well-prepared apartment for every guest.
